We had a fantastic anniversary celebration at Côte. From the delectable charcuterie board and French onion soup as starters to the amazing beef bourguignon and confit duck for our mains, every aspect was perfect. Thank you Côte for making our evening truly special and for the exceptional experience :)

Lovely food and waiters. The blonde man in glasses was particularly kind and brought a nice touch to the already nice dining experience!

Been to a few Côtes around the country. Good as usual. The quality is consistent and the service is as good as well. The place here is a bit crammed, I'd say, compared to other ones around the UK.

Enjoyed the food. Place was a little warm due to the sunny day, other than that, was nice all-round

Great experience. One of the best spots in Oxford. The meat is cooked perfectly, the pork is sublime. Do not miss desert.

After walking out from three different restaurants for various reasons, we found THIS one, and to our delight, FRENCH! Perfect in every way. Back to Australia soon.

We had a delightful time here, we popped in for some coke and a tomato tart with fries. Staff were very friendly and polite. My only gripe is not being able to pay in cash and not being told in advance that the truffle chips attracted an additional charge. Transparency is key.

This is a very conveniently located restaurant midway down George Street in the centre of the city. The staff are very welcoming and professional in the way that they initially greet and then deal with their customers. We were given enough time to make our choices without feeling hurried, whilst at the same time without feeling forgotten. The menu provides a good variety of dishes for starter, mains and sweets. The choice of wine is reasonable. Our waitress was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. When our food arrived, it was properly cooked and presented and hot. It was very tasty. This is not a cheap place to eat, but you get what you pay for. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Recommended.

Portions a bit small, enough to fill you but compared to other restaurants can feel like something is missing. Food very tasty though!

Visited for Valentine’s Day today. Service was exceptional, the manager offered us a glass of champagne each for the special occasion. While we were ordering, I had some questions and the manager came down to our level to explain the difference to me. We ended up being the last two customers and we didn’t feel uncomfortable or unwelcome!. Will be coming again soon. Thank you to everyone who made the experience so pleasant!!!!!

A very nice anniversary dinner with friendly, helpful, and welcoming restaurant staff, who helped us with the baby high chair, chatted with us about kids, and recommended a nice wine to complement the food. Great value for the prix fixe menu. We are delighted to hear that it will be available all day on weekdays throughout January.

They had run out of French toast by 11:30 on a Saturday morning... Even though there were hardly any customers inside. Real shame because we came to Côte specifically to have it! Luckily the food we had ordered instead was still good.

The food here was exceptional! The service was always very prompt and the food arrived quite quickly. The dessert only took slightly longer to arrive, but the staff apologized heavily for the delay anyway; they clearly hold themselves to very high standards. I forgot the photograph the sharing plate of appetizers we got, which is a shame considering the lovely presentation of the sharing plate. It had camembert cheese, salami, prosciutto, tomatoes, olives, and pickles, and was certainly my favorite part of our visit. The potato dauphinoise was creamy and soft and the ribeye steak wonderfully tender. They had run out of some other steak options, including the fillet noir which I'd hoped to get, but the ribeye was a good substitute. I'd recommend coming early, before popular dishes run out.

Robin was so lovely and attentive to our table! This was the first time visit Cote for my friends and they had the most amazing time, they all thanked me for bringing them here and so I want to thank your lovely team, and the chefs, but especially Robin for looking after us throughout the night.

Reliable high quality food and attentive staff. Short wait for table despite having booked, but it was a busy Saturday in December. Worth waiting for - I had requested a table away from the door and we were seated next to a toasty radiator in the next wing along 👍.

We were out for a family reunion and a celebration of a birthday. The food was incredible. I had the pork belly and loved the dauphinoise potatoes. My son loved the crab starter and his fillet steak. It was a lovely evening with lots of chat, laughter and good food. Thank you for bringing us together and giving us an evening to remember.

I have always found the Cote chain reliable as regards food and service and this is no exception. Pleasant staff bought us well prepared choices from a familiar menu (but it does change seasonally). Everything was cooked as it should be. The view across the road is less than inspiring, but the interior is laid out attractively. If you know Cote this is not about an exciting culinary discovery, but a very 'safe pair of hands'.

From start to finish our visit was perfect. Really cannot fault the restaurant, service or food. Highly recommend the steak tartare!!

Hmmm... Côte is obviously popular. It was pleasantly full during our visit. Our hosts go there quite often and enjoy it. It's about a 25 minute walk from where we were staying, so we arrived ready for action. The menu does have a good choice (and ther is a very good gluten free version). The food was flavoursome, tasty and ample. The service...; Lots of staff milling around, lots of flashy ipaddy yolks being swooped and dabbed at but for this 'effiency', every single course came back with delays, missing elements, excuses (the best was "oh I've just spoken to my colleague about .." when they clearly hadn't). The last straw was when the dessert order was being taken. We finally resorted to paper, struggled through an extremely confusing dessert description.... and it still ended being wrong. Go for the food, go for the laugh, but be prepared for a 'Son of Fawlty Towers' service. Despite all that, a very enjoyable night, reasonably priced.

We had a day trip to Oxford and had a late lunch here. Off peak time, not so busy, and cosy. The staff are friendly and attentive. Tasty french food at reasonable price with a nice selection of wine. I will be returning definitely.

Have visited before. This time celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. They helped choose the wine, gave us complimentary glass if prosecco and also gave me a bottle of wine to take home as a birthday gift. We will return.

Came for a Saturday morning breakfast. Seated immediately with no booking, food was absolutely to die for and very reasonable prices. Service was very attentive. Very relaxed atmosphere

Really like Cote food is generally very good and caters to my friend who wants a gluten-free choice. Good house wine if a little pricey. I would recommend sitting in the end room if possible. Last but best is a great and friendly service.

Had lunch here. The manager was very welcoming, and we could choose our table. My friend had the burger, while I had the mushroom quiche. We both enjoyed it very much. Our visit was on a Saturday, but during the week there is a fixed price lunch option. Would recommend.

Did I simply have bad luck or were my expectations too high? First of all, the servers were extremely kind and welcoming. But the food… The ribeye steak, despite being recommended as medium on the menu (and we ordered medium as recommended), turned out to be unseasoned, flavorless, and closer to well-done. The Beef Bourguignon looked amazing in reviews, but the reality was far from it. The attached photo shows a noticeable difference in quality, and the mushrooms listed on the menu as one of the ingredients fell short with only (1/4 of two) half pieces. Fortunately, the server accommodated my request for extra mushrooms.

Food was good but wasn’t a fan of the fougrasse. It’s a large portion but rather dry and salty. If you order it I’d recommend asking for balsamic vinegar and olive oil to dip. Vegan burger was good but nothing overly special. Drinks aren’t worth the price. Blood Mary was served in a short glass for some reason? Seems stingy to me. Staff were friendly and we had a positive experience otherwise.

5 star excellent all round. My medium rare sirloin was cooked to perfection and the glass of Corbiere red wine was beautiful. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or attentive. An all round great experience.

Amazing; everything was great; food and service. Ordered crab as an Entree and a pork belly as a main course. Absolutely amazing.

Minute steak was tough and inedible, thou the waiter said ' this sometimes happen with minute steak'! Not prepared to pay for food I cannot eat!!! Exchanged for grilled chicken with green salad which was swimming in salad dressing, ended up just eating the tomato and onion salad and fries. Manager very good in refunding my meal, paid just for the side's, but not a very good experience of a Cotes brasserie. Very disappointed!!! Ended up eating at Prezzo, a much better experience and better food.
