    A great sized gym with varied equipment. The environment is welcoming and you feel comfortable straight away, there is always free equipment as the gym never gets too full as everyone has their scheduled time - so no queuing! The gym is full of friendly people and staff which is a key thing when training particularly if you are new to exercising and less confident like myself. Reema is an amazing trainer, I honestly look forward to training every week which I never thought I’d hear myself saying!! Overall a great place to train for people of all ages and all levels of fitness.

    Started training at Storm 12 weeks ago and all I have to say is it’s life changing! Not only have I gained weight and muscle from months and months of a bad lifestyle which led me to be unhealthy and underweight, I have also regained my confidence and self discipline which was missing for so long. The whole team are so positive, encouraging and friendly. And my phenomenal trainer Lucy not only pushes me physically but is beyond knowledgeable and filled to the brim with positive vibes. I cannot Thank Lucy enough for restoring my strength, positivity, confidence and even better… she makes training FUN! ♥️💪🏻

    I've been training with Lucy for around 6 months now at Storm Fitness. Before starting I had never enjoyed or stuck to an exercise plan and had never tried strength training. Lucy has made me feel really comfortable and has helped me build up my confidence in the gym and I have actually started to enjoy exercise! I'm really impressed with my progress so far and I'm feeling a lot stronger! The workouts are really varied, fun and I'm learning a lot through them. Lucy is very knowledgeable, she's really encouraging and always pushes me to go further - she's a fab PT. All of the team are really friendly and the facilities at the gym are great.

    Been working with Lucy for three months now and couldn’t be happier. She’s a brilliant PT, totally knowledgeable and really good fun, but most importantly is super switched on to my changing capabilities and flexes my routines depending on what is best for me at that time. Really look forward to our sessions at Storm. It’s a really comfortable environment, really well equipped and always clean. Highly recommend both!

    It takes a special person to make dragging yourself out of bed on dark, rainy mornings to lift weights seem appealing. But Lucy does it. I started at Storm as a complete novice at the gym, but desperate to feel healthy, strong and confident in my body. And Storm (and Lucy!) delivered. Lucy is warm, kind and a complete pro. She strikes the perfect balance of gently pushing you out of your comfort zone whilst making you feel powerful and confident at the same time. She’s single-handedly ignited a love for fitness and exercise in me that I didn’t know I had. For that, and for being such a beam of light, thank you Lucy! ❤️ The gym is spotless, calm and spacious. I’d really recommend Storm to anyone who wants to make a change, and find somewhere relaxed and professional to work out. It’s a complete judgement-free zone with a full spectrum of abilities and fitness levels so you always feel comfortable. Easiest 5 star review ever 😊

    I have always enjoyed sports and exercise. As I entered my 40s I knew to stay strong and continue to enjoy the sports I love I had to build and sustain muscle and range of motion. Having suffered a sports injury resulting in a disk replacement in my neck I was nervous and didn’t know where to start with weight training. Storm was recommended by a friend and I feel lucky to have found Lucy as a PT. She is attentive and invested in my goals. She manages to balance support and challenge during the training sessions which helps me safely push myself. I tend to ignore niggles of discomfort but she regularly checks and modifies the exercise to let me continue progressing. Most of all I enjoy training with Lucy because of her infectious enthusiasm! Thank you

    I look forward to my weekly PT session with Spencer. He is friendly and very professional. He factors in work demands, lifestyle and personal goals to make my fitness goals realistic within the training programme he designs for me. Storm Fitness is also a nice clean and spacious environment to workout in. Highly recommended

    Great place to train. From the first consultation with Izzy, I could tell she knew her stuff! She set me a plan tailored to my specific goal of becoming pain free during exercise, and it’s working wonders. Would highly recommend coming here, wether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete! Relaxed, Friendly environment, never over crowed. And top coaches!

    Me and my partner trained with Louise for just under a year and couldn’t recommend her enough. She done excellent working on both our separate goals yet managed to create fitness plans we could complete together. She’s always extra motivated and upbeat, I wasn’t a gym fan when I first started and she somehow managed to turn that around even if my face didn’t say it. When me and my partner split we still attended our sessions twice a week because louise made us both feel comfortable and kept pushing us towards our independent goals. Excellent equipment and you couldn’t find a better PT in Newcastle

    For a trial of something new, myself and a friend spent two months working with Lome at Storm fitness. The sessions were a key feature of our weeks, and we looked forward to and relished the time at Storm. Even in that short amount of time, I found myself feeling stronger and more confident, both in the gym and out, I also stand a good inch taller! Lome is a wonderful trainer, encouraging but not aggressive, aware of your limits and always open to your concerns. I felt very safe lifting knowing that he was watching and would make changes to my form where needed. The gym itself is spacious and open, a more welcoming environment than other gyms I've tried. And even when it was busy it did not feel crowded or overwhelming. Everybody there was friendly and welcoming. A massive thank you to Lome, if I wasn't leaving Newcastle I would definitely be continuing the sessions!

    I’ve been training at Storm for several years. I started after a period of dealing with various health conditions, which my PT, Dave Ball, really wanted to understand before he set about planning how we would work together to achieve my goals. I think that’s a big difference with Storm; most gyms claim to do this, but in my experience, the trainers often apply a generic training template that either becomes boring or stops working. Not so with Storm. Five years into my health and fitness journey, my PT, Dave, continues to adapt my training to what’s happening in my life while pushing me to keep working a little bit harder. I never quite find a ‘level’ with Dave and Storm, which is how it should be! It’s also worth mentioning that Storm really is a gym for everyone. I’ve seen people of all ages training at Storm - mums, dads, kids, athletes, and everything in between. There’s a mix of male and female PTs with years of experience under their belts, and it always feels like a safe place and friendly place to work out. The facilities are also second to none, and it’s never crowded. So whatever your health and fitness goals, Storm can help you get there.

    I have been training with Reema for around 2 months now. Honestly, it's been a fantastic experience. As someone who hates crowded places, this has been the perfect set up for me. It's never crowded and it's a very friendly and welcoming place. The gym itself is a nice spacious building that doesn't feel too small but not too big either. I'd say it's probably around the perfect size. The music is pretty good too, I've ended up with some stuck in my head after a session. It's all 1 to 1 based training, which is awesome as you don't have to worry about doing anything wrong, as you are told and shown how to do everything properly. It doesn't matter what your fitness levels are, they have an hour consultation with you for free to talk about what you require to fit your needs. Special mention to my trainer Reema, she's been very patient with me as due to my condition I'm a bit slow on doing things correctly. I'd say I'm more of a visual learner and she always shows me step by step how to do different exercises. She's extremely knowledgeable about what foods to eat and what exercises to do. She has helped me change my entire diet which is something that I thought was impossible! My confidence has improved tremendously because of her. She's very friendly and always encourages me to go as far I can. I'm not the most talkative of people but that hasn't been a problem because she seems to be the exact opposite! Exercise has actually become fun for me, albeit I'm sometimes completely knackered because of it, and it's all thanks to Reema. I even look forward to coming here which is something I never thought would happen with anything exercise related! I'm very socially awkward and anxious so I was apprehensive about signing up but I'm glad I did. No one seems bothered by my aloofness. The progress has been amazing so far. If you are on the fence about signing up, I'd say go for it. It would have been a massive regret for me if I didn't. It truly is a people centred gym. Don't worry about your ability or your confidence levels, your trainer will help you improve every step of the way. And thank you Spencer for a brilliant gym!

    Storm Fitness has been the change for me. Izzy, my trainer, is intelligent, witty, knowledgeable and completely skilled in understanding exactly what I need. She is an incredible listener. Her ability to genuinely care about my progress and give value to even my bad days, has helped me to stabilise my lifestyle. My diet is better, my body is stronger and my mind is more relaxed. I never thought I would say this but it is the best fun I have ever had in a gym!

    I’ve been training with Lucy Turner for almost an years now, and believe she is one of the most experienced & committed trainers around. I generally train once a week and really enjoy the variety & challenge she puts into the sessions. Lucy is very focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging but equally more important - fun. My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen all round improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. Most importantly Lucy always ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries and plans exercise routines based on personal requirements and always in advance and ahead of sessions. I actually look forward to my workout sessions with her and would highly recommend Lucy to anyone looking to improve their fitness through personal trainer.

    I’ve been coming to Storm since May last year to train with Lome and I am so pleased with what I have been able to achieve in that time. I started with very gym experience and Lome has taught me so much. He has made feel so confident about getting into the gym and doing exercises and using equipment I have never tried before. He is so encouraging and has really pushed me to challenge myself and I’m so happy with the results. My relationship with my body has changed dramatically and I’m feeling great and that’s all thanks to Lome. Storm is such a friendly and welcoming environment, I couldn’t recommend it, and Lome, enough!

    Fantastic place to train - such a difference to the usual crammed gym offerings and fighting to get on machines! I've been working with Spencer around knee rehab for the past couple of months and he level of knowledge is unsurpassed, he's really bringing my confidence back up along side big improvements in strength and functional fitness already. I look forward to training at Storm Fitness for the foreseeable future!!

    I have been training with Lucy for some months now, and I have only had positive experiences so far. Just two 1-hour sessions a week after work have been showing more results (and have been more fun) than any of my previous attempts to hit the gym. The environment is very supportive and I've never seen it get too crowded or noisy. It's also right by the Walkergate Metro station, which is about a 10 minute journey from Monument

    My son has been attending Storm for the last 10 months and this has made a massive difference not only his fitness, weight and strength but also his confidence. Over this time period he has been training with Lome and he has came on leaps and bounds. I highly recommend Storm, we are so glad we signed up, great trainers and great atmosphere. Well Done

    Storm fitness is a perfect place to keep fit and continue towards securing a healthy lifestyle. It is a fabulous venue with ample free parking PT instructor Lome is very supportive and reflective in his approach to teaching our son, who is at the beginning of his journey into developing a healthy mindset around good fitness and appropriate nutrition awareness. The individual sessions are well planned to encourage positive mental attitudes towards achieving future goals which also build confidence and strength.     My visits to Storm are an important part of my week. The place is spacious and clean. All the trainers are friendly and welcoming. My trainer Spencer has patiently worked with me over the last years getting me stronger and more confident both physically and mentally. He has also helped me minimise injury and guided me through niggles that would have probably made me stop going to the gym in the past. I class my sessions as Storm as non-negotiable.

    Trained with Louise (@louise.maclaine) at Storm for just under a year and would highly recommend. I did 2 to 1 sessions with my partner and Louise was fab at working on both our goals; building muscle mass for me and weight loss for my partner. Louise has always been very flexible working with both our schedules and manages to fit us in even if it’s right at the end of the evening when we know she has been at the gym with clients since very early in the morning. Unfortunately halfway through the year my partner and I broke up but we continued to see Louise together 2x a week as we both really enjoyed the sessions. She always has a positive attitude but takes on a tough no-nonsense approach which I love and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my fitness and I’m now happy using the gym equipment independently when I train on my own during the rest of the week. I’ve been with other very good PTs in Newcastle but you can’t beat Louise.

    I have been training at Storm Fitness for 2 years now with Ted Winter I must admit I was a little nervous at first, having not trained much at all in years- to be fair I did not know how to train before I started. I was very overweight, at 143kg at my first consultation & wondered whether I would be able to cope in the gym with a busy working life, 2 children & a potential big change in physical workload Ted instantly put me at ease with an honest approach, explaining the ‘why’ behind the instruction, in depth nutritional advice & helping me achieve the feeling of progress in every session I seemed to reach goal after goal with consistency. I have gone on to lose 8 stone in weight over the course of the last 2 years-It has completely transformed me both Physically & mentally I really could not have done this without the guidance, knowledge & ethos of both Ted & the Storm Fitness gym I now have a different level of self-discipline, mindset & self-belief going forward If you are looking for realistic, fun & quality personal training that really delivers results, I cannot recommend Storm Fitness enough

    As a fifty-something gym-phobic man with little prior exercise experience, attending Storm has been very good for me. Following an initial consultation I decided on a programme of three sessions per week for two months and have seen a significant improvement in my strength, flexibility, mobility and muscle-definition. The staff are friendly and experienced, the facilities and equipment impressive. I have no hesitation in recommending Storm Fitness to anyone whatever your fitness goals.

    Since starting to train with Lucy at Storm fitness, I've seen a huge improvement in my confidence in and out of the gym. I feel stronger, healthier and happier. My original goal was to lose weight for my wedding but actually i've completely changed my mindset around health and fitness. I've shifted to wanting to get stronger and improve my technique rather than focus on a goal that actually isn't that important to me. Lucy has got me enjoying lifting weights and has helped me to fall back in love with exercise again. Lucy is patient with me but also pushes me when I need it. She adapts sessions with injuries and still makes them fun and challenging. Going to storm every week has become such an important part of my week and self care routine! It's such a friendly atmosphere and all the staff are really welcoming. Would highly recommend!

    Storm Fitness is a fab gym- very friendly, plenty of coffee and lots of experienced staff that will help you with any fitness related goal. After over a year of training with Lucy, I am the most consistent I’ve ever been in the gym and as a result am stronger and fitter. The sessions always have a really positive effect on my health from a physical and mental perspective. Every session is enjoyable and fun! Would highly recommend.

    Ted and the team at storm are unique to anything I’ve experienced in a gym or training studio before. They have this bizarre trick of being able to make you feel totally comfortable and relaxed yet you end up dripping in sweat and totally exhausted by the end of the session - amazing! In all seriousness it’s by far the most professional and organised studio I’ve ever trained in, and it’s genuinely the first time I’ve ever actually enjoyed training - Ted built a plan when I started and we haven’t deviated from it, the weight is getting progressively heavier, the work is getting harder and I am improving my flexibility and mobility but we’ve stuck to a plan to gradually increase my strength and fitness. I have suffered with hip and lower back problems in the past, Ted is totally accommodating, clearly knowledgeable in respect of training with past injuries and Ive seen great improvements in strength and flexibility in these areas. We talk about nutrition, rest and hydration, it’s a complete package to improve your fitness and health. Storm is an amazing place to train, it’s friendly, professional, not intimidating at all and I couldn’t recommend the guys highly enough.
