My lawnmower cost £80 brand new. Decided to get it serviced thinking it would be cheaper than replacing. "Oh, we'll ring you before we do any work" they said. Get a phone call... "Lawnmower's ready, that's £130 please" Reluctantly paid up but really narked they didn't give me a price before going ahead. Clearly I would've just spent the £130 on another new mower and not wait a fortnight to get back my old one. And to top it all lawnmower is no longer working after just a month and they are too busy to repair it. Needless to say I don't recommend these cowboys.

Avoid using these guys. I took my mower in as I was having issues with the engine keeping the same RPM. I asked them to tell me what the issue was, which they never did. They decided to complete over £250’s of work without my consent. When I complained they said “if you’re not happy, bring the grass collector in and I’ll keep it”. I had no choice but to keep the mower. Which has just stopped working for the exact same reason. I have used it maybe five times since they “repaired” it. Terrible service and best avoided.

Phoned ahead and spoke to Trevor regarding spare parts for hedge trimmer handle. Agreed to call in with part needing replacing, diagram and part list numbers to ensure correct parts could be ordered. Arrived 20mins later greeted by Jonathan "Can't help you today, parts will 'probably' be closed". Can you call them to check.."No". Can you give me number so I can call them. "No". Can I speak with Trevor "No". Can you take part list numbers. "No, you will need to leave it here and come back Monday". I decided to order parts elsewhere.

He checked out my Petrol strimmer which was not repairable. Struggled with communication . But contact details are on the website . Just a nominal fee for time taken.

What ever happened to good customer service. Served by an off hand gentleman who really just doesn’t possess good customer service skills at all

Spot on service here, called in for a fuel pipe, I had no idea of size or what length I needed, spoke to the gent in store they gave me a few pipes to go home and try to make sure I had the right size, went back and purchased the right one, local stores with service like this are rare, I would urge you to go here before going to the diy sheds, I had my generator running again in no time. Excellent

Called in to look at hedge cutters and got really good advice. I purchased a quality long handle hedge cutter which was competitively priced. Delighted with purchase, will definitely call in again.

Unbiased, no nonsense advice from someone with many years experience of lawnmowers, all given with good humour (thanks Jonathan). Excellent service facilities from a main Atco dealer, including pick up and return, can't fault the work that has been done on my mowers which came back with everything fixed, cleaned and in perfect working order. Probably not the cheapest, but as with many other things, you usually get what you pay for and if you are worried about the cost, simply ask for an estimate before you agree to have any work done. It's nice to be able to thoroughly recommend a local family run firm. All the Best Sam

Very Expensive . £35 for a chainsaw chain .

Took a industrial strimmer in as I thought it was broken, however the man working explained there was nothing wrong with it and furthermore demonstrated changing attachments for future reference at no charge !! Excellent local business without being ripped off
