Great little place, very cozy, not a lot of tables! But wonderful atmosphere. Coffee is amazing, barista Max will sort you out! Always smiling, knows so much about coffee and different ways of brewing it and always a wonderful person to talk to. Food is nice as well, a bit on a healthier side. Great place to read in or go for a cozy brunch with few friends or a loved one. If you are somewhere around, a nice place to visit and have a good experience.

We asked the locals in another coffee shop which place was their favorite coffee shop in Porto and they lead us to Hakko and what a hidden gem! I think it’s one of the best coffees we had in Porto and we visited everyday we were there :) the baked good were really good as well! To all speciality coffee lovers Hakko is not to be missed!

Warm, unexpected and delicious flavors of the French toast. Granola, espresso, cake and the porridge was good as well. Cozy and quiet ambience. It was nice to start the day quietly with delicious food and away from the chaos of the more touristy places.

Went during the soft opening and had a really great experience. I had a flat white and a morning bun (which was made and baked today by one of the lovely people there) which were both delicious. The bun was better than I expected as I often find them too heavy for me. The staff were very friendly, and we got to say hello to the coffee roaster and his dog. Will definitely be back again during our stay here.

Very small yet very cosy place with stellar food and a very calm atmosphere. I had their variation of shakshouka with poached eggs and feta with a side of wonderful sourdough, and black tea. Both were splendid. They serve proper tea (not bags). Good filter coffee, too. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back again!

Staff superfriendly but a bit overwhelmed with work. It's a small space but it was busy and the girl had issues taking orders, cleaning the tables, making coffee and serving food at the same time. It would have needed a second person behind the counter. Coffee was very disappointing! There are so many good (hipster and non hipster) coffee places in Porto and it's ridiculous to pay 2 Euro for an espresso that I would consider rather underwhelming. The carrot cake was okay. But again, for the price paid (3,80 Euro) I would expect something more. Maybe some of the savoury food is better/ worth the money but for coffee and cake I would certainly not come back. There are plenty of good alternatives in the near surrounding.

Treat yourself to prime quality baked goods at one of the neighbourhood favourite bakery! If you like nice croissants or freshly baked bread and pastries, you’ll love this place as we does

Cute little place that serves the best simple croissants in Porto hands down! If they would make a ham and cheese option would be to die for. Their pastries are the best in town without a doubt. Worth it go at 10:00 am which is when they open to get the freshest pastries.

What a delightful place to visit. Exceptional service, food and atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too for its quality. Let me say that the granola bowl was stupendous. Flavourful, it sent me away brimming with ideas for my own creation of a similar breakfast bowl. Tahini, orange blossom and fig. Nutty and fresh with the touch of basil. Flavours spot on. The lentil croquettes were seriously delicious. The textures perfect with the crunch of toasted hazelnuts and smooth hummus and crisp fried croquettes. The hint of lemon was perfect too. Stunningly presented. serious talent from the chefs here. The service was brilliant. Touched a great deal by the kindest gesture of the lady offering an additional plate of figs on the house after overhearing my sister and I conversing over our passion for this fruit. Thank you, we couldn’t have enjoyed them more. I would love to visit again and try everything. it’s a shame I don’t live here.

Really excellent breakfast spot. The place is very cozy and while the menu is small, the food is delicious. You order at the counter and wait at your table for the food to be served. Coffee: lattes were good but we finished them by the time the food arrived unfortunately (the food took ~30 minutes for 2 dishes) Food: we ordered the bubbles and squeak and the French toast. Both were delicious! I’ve never had bubbles and squeak before, but it was pleasantly surprising and tasted like a home cooked meal. The French toast was amazing, I wish I’d ordered another. We wanted to try the ricotta toast but they were out. Overall, excellent food and service (just a bit slow)

Cute little coffeeshop with delicious sourdough. We have had the turkish eggs, the eggs were not mollet but boiled, but overall the dish was tasty! Thought the prices were a bit steep and customer service could have been a bit warmer, but perhaps i am just too demanding 🙈

It's super cozy, and the atmosphere is great, with really good music. The baked goods are delicious and homemade, and there's a nice variety of things. The only downside I would point out is that it's overpriced for Portuguese people, so it's a bit harder to comeback regularly...it's mostly visited by foreigners. Anyway, I guess that's Portugal nowadays.

We enjoyed a glazed cinnamon role and excellent coffee before ordering eggs marinara that arrived with copious amounts of hot sourdough bread. The pastry chef is delightful, and the front staff keeps everything balanced and cool. Their daughter is a maitre d’ in training. Friendly, talkative and sharing. Quality abounds here.

Nice coffee and breakfast spot! We enjoyed flat white and cortado. Unfortunately, granola and French toast were out this morning, but rice porridge was a tasty alternative. Friendly service.

Beautiful extractions on the chosen specialty coffee brand - I had SO coffee roasters from Porto. Perfect ratio on the iced latte. Divine really. Delicious baked cheesecake. Super nice staff, especially the girl. I will come back!

I have traveled all over France and like to think that I know a good croissant and French toast very well, but the 3 men at Hakko have taken these 2 things to another level. Everything is made fresh and you can taste that freshness with every bite. It takes a bit of time to get served, however it is definitely worth the wait to try their food, which, simply put, is just absolutley exquisite. I must admit I was hesitant to write a glowing review (which they deserve), for fear the place might get overrun and grow too big too fast, & change their ways, but this place is so great, I felt guilty not writing something! Thanks Hakko for a wonderfully delicious start to our day.

Nice meal overall. Very chill atmosphere. Eggs were good, but found the leek & romescu very oily.

An amazing place with the best croissants in Porto! Very cozy and quite place to get away from the street noise for a bit and enjoy great coffee and bakeries. I'll be back!

This place is great. Love the croissants and the cinnamon rolls and other freshly baked goodies. They make my favorite coffee in Porto - the owner really cares about the quality of it. Lunch is also very good. Staff is lovely. Highly recommended!
