**Yummy Chiken Pakoda** I travelled first time to any city in Odisa so was very excited to try food here. I wanted to try Pidha hotel but it's closed on Saturday evening. Never the less, people had highly recommended me to try chicken pakoda at Girija restaurant. It's not easy to find this place without using Google maps. This place is not at all like the classy restaurant even though it's famous in foodies for it non vej dishes. I started with its signature dish 'Chiken Pakoda' and in the first bite itself got to know why it's such a favourite. The chicken was tender, well cooked with balanced spices. Then I tried methi chicken, which is second signature dish. Being from Maharashtra, it was a delight to taste Methi chicken with butter naan. The taste is really good, chicken again was well cook and spice level was ok. Then to end my meal, I had to try pudding. Not too sweet but taste was good. Now let's see how it stands on CLAPS rating: C - Cuisine: This place is know for its non-vej dishes and you will enjoy the food here. A full ⭐ here. L - Location: For a new person, It's bit hard to find without Google maps as it's not on main street. But foodies, it's our place in Berhampur. I would give it half ⭐ here. A - Ambience: It has a basic sitting area, nothing classy. Come, sit, eat and go. They really need to keep the place look clean. You can see the area where the food is kept and from where it's servered, it needs to be clean. No ⭐ here. P - Price: I had chicken pakoda, methi chicken, butter naan and pudding just in 300rs. That's affordable. Full ⭐ here. S - Service: Service was quick. I just had to order and the dish was on my table. Only thing is no one will come to ask you what you want, you will have to find the waiter and order your food. Waiters are polite. I would give it half ⭐ as it's responsibility of people here to keep the place clean. Overall if I ignore cleanliness then the food was worth a try. Take parcel and enjoy in the coziness of your home. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and you may have a different experience.

One of the best chicken pakodas available here… they are so soft n yummy with the chilli sauce. Mutton curry with roti is also superb. Egg pudding is also yummy. Always busy with customers and online orders. Pricing is very reasonable. Loved the seating arrangement and service is quick n responsive.

When food is so good that you turn a blind eye to the ghastly vibe of the unclean place, you know you have a legendary outlet at your hands! Chicken pakoda and methi chicken is to die for. Dare I say, two of the best chicken dishes I have had. Period. The biryani is horrible, masala naan is decent and all other chicken dishes are good, if not exemplary. But the chicken is so tender, it melts in the mouth and at the end of the day, the taste is king.

Bad and rubbish service is on it. There is a small dining area according to the arrival of the people. Have to wait 10 - 15 min to eat. And the taste of pudding was bad.

Definitely quick service and great food. Hint of south Indian to our Odia Cuisine. Price is pocket friendly.

The famed Girija restaurant, lives up to its expectations. One of the best Chicken pakoras one can find anywhere. The chutney along with the pakoras is to die for. The methi korma and Chicken curry were very nice as-well. Ended the meal with a sweet and simple pudding which was very light and subtly flavoured.

Can't recommend. Below average food, but the place is mobbed by people. So it's super crowded and it's a struggle to find any seat. Not worth the effort at all. Every food item they serve is quite bad, to be honest. Their popularity reflects quite badly on Berhampur's reputation as a food hub.

The food was delicious... We tried their famous Chicken Biryani and Pakoda and it turned out to be one of the best... We also tried their chicken curry as well it was delicious as well. And do try their Pudding as well... It was delicious.. i didn't enjoy it much as I am not that much sweet lover... But those who love sweets must try ❤️ A must visit restaurant. If you visiting Berhampur and This restaurant for the first Do carry CASH while visiting Girija Restaurant they don't have Card or phone pay facilities they only accept cash.

Just Hype restaurant. Chicken pakoda taste is OK. But the worst thing is they are hygiene..This is most unhygienic restaurant I ever seen. In night time you will find fly's who all are the patner to taste your dish.

The restaurant is located centrally in Berhampur (Odisha) . Space is small and crowded . Hygiene is beat low . Chicken Pakoda was good but bones were distraction. Chicken Korma was not felt so good . Pudding was very good . Service boys are very helpful.

Nowadays it's not worth it to dine here in terms of taste. Some items like pudding etc are good to try out but overall a bad experience. I will never go to this restaurant again. Chicken pakoda was the best item served here but it turns into an overhyped ordinary dish.

Chicken Pakoda is highlight of the restaurant. Other non-veg items are above average. If you're a vegetarian, don't expect a satisfying meal. Ambience and atmosphere are below average(especially what other states people feel).

Chicken Pakoras and biriyani is very very good and the chutney is just excellent. The ambience is good but ACs should work in hot summer. Request the owner to be more mindful of customer comfort

This is a very famous restaurant in Berhampur with only chicken dishes.I.e. pakoda, curry, chili n biriyani. And rice dal. They used to serve good chicken items. But now the quality has degraded drastically. The pakoda and biriyani has normal taste as of any other restaurant. The curry and chili chicken tasted bad. We heard a lot about the restaurant, but turned out to be bad experience.
