A very beautiful temple located at a breathtaking location. Just 24 from Berhampur, this temple is located between the serene hills of the eastern ghats. It remains untouched from civil populace and thats the reason, temple is clean and well maintained. Caution is to be exercised while taking photographs over the steep rocks located next to the temple. Designated picnic spots are located near temple to prepare and have meals. Good parking for 4 wheelers and two wheelers available for a marginal fee of β‚Ή 20. Roads are Very Good and Views are Awesome while traveling through the Hill.

This place is so beautiful i never imagined. Balakumari temple is situated on the top of the Kerandimala mountain, and it is 204 km from Bhubaneswar, 9 km distance from Chikiti and 37 km distance from Brahmapur in the District of Ganjam. There are around 300 steps you have to climb to reach the hill top. Balakumari hill station is a wonderful place for a picnic. There is a Shiva temple and a big Shiva Linga located at the foothills of the Balakumari Mandir. There is also good space for parking for both 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. The hill top view is that awesome and breathtaking. You will feel the hill top experience and slow breeze.

One of the most beautiful and hidden place of odisha. Situated around 40km from the Berhampur City takes hardly 1hr drive to reach there. You have two option either climb stairs to reach the hill top of take your vehicle to the top. If you choose to take your vehicle then for Bike its 10rs and for car 20rs. Parking is free. From the spot you take 200 stairs and reach the temple. We went when it was raining and the views were just mesmerising. The top was covered with cloud created a view to just sit and watch for hours. Road to the top of mountain is very stiff one has to be very careful while driving. You will enjoy every seconds you spend here. Amazing place Recommended πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Beautiful place. New bike riders not recommended to ride this kinda hilstation. Very Zigzag, blakpoint roads makes horrible. But once you reached top of the hill, it's worth it. Just let me know your thoughts. Have safe ride.

A very nice spiritual place to visit. If you go with your grand parents then i m sure they are going to love this place. Moreover you will love the journey to the top of hill where the temple is present. All the things are well managed by the temple organization. And yes to reach to the top u have to climb arround 200 steps.. but the energy spent will be fulfilled by the natural spectacular view of chikiti town πŸ˜‚

We were not willing to visit that place as we never heard of this place from anyone. But couple of local people insist to visit. And its hit the bull’s eye. Surprisingly it was the best place among we visited. I will recommend everyone to visit this place if you are going on trip to Ganjam. The temple is on the peak of mountain. From there we will enjoy the view. Breath taking sceneries. We went there in winter. So couldn’t spend much time as it became evening earlier. Worth visiting.

Beautiful place for picnics and sight seeing. Development work is still in progress. One thing I didn't like is the cleanliness. You will find lots of biscuit, ice cream wrappers, cold drinks/water bottles every where on the stairs to the temple. Temple administration should focus on this.

The Beautiful Temple located on top of a Hill, will definitely give you goosebumps by seeing the scenery. This temple is located on the top of a hill and can be travelled by 4 Wheelers or 2 Wheelers. But after reaching there, you need to climb around 300 steps to reach the destination. Note: People having Joint Pain, Cardiac Problem, Pregnant Ladies, Old Aged People should Avoid climbing so Many steps. I suggest to have visit during sunrise or sunset time. There is also a huge shiv ling statue at some distance from the location, maybe it has a different route to reach. The below are some photos that I have clicked. The photos aren't clear enough due to the presence of Mist which might be the winter effect as I visited here in November. I saw the sunset and the beauty was at it's peak πŸŒ₯πŸŒ„

The roads are amazing and parking spots are also there. The scenic beauty of nature is beautiful . It's a definitely worth visit. I travelled with my friend to this hill station . It is a great place with lovely hills, lovely surroundings, and active streets. We were treated to a beautiful wonderland. Cloud enveloped the picturesque town of Balakukari . We drove to the nearest hotel , rested for a little, and then headed to the balakumari temple. Its location is renowned for providing beautiful views of the valley. We then visited another well-known Hanuman temple. There were many sights to view in Balakumari, and some of them and some events had a greater emotional impact on us than others, this eye catching experience made me see the beauty in the world.

This is one of the most beautiful valleys of eastern ghats. The temple, unlike many others in Odisha is calm and quiet. Pandits will never bother you for unnecessary donations and Puja. The ghat road, although short but will give you a nice driving experience.
