Beautiful beach with less Crowd. Waves at this beach are so high and powerful that's why people are less and has no bathing place. This beach is just 300 meters away from a famous temple Batakeshwar Temple. If you wanna buy something, only two small shops are there where you will get water and cold drinks but if you wanna but heavy food, you will have to go to the temple side to buy. In many beaches Jhau Trees (Tamarix) aren't available but this beach has lots of Jhau Trees which made this beach so beautiful. NB: Don't go there at evening..

Very clean beach. It’s in Ganjam district. Nearest railway station is Humma. One can reach here by taking an auto from Ganjam Railway station or from Humma railway station. This beach is famous for Olive Ridley Turtles. Beach is very clean. There are some snacks sellers at the entrance of the beach so that you can buy something to eat or drink. This can be developed but the proximity of Chilika and distance from Bhubaneswar has a negative impact in number of tourists here. Travel responsibly. Do not litter.

Very nice, awesome rural beach. Clean and not crowded. Can drive by car or bike to the place. A park is under development. Fee may be charged in future. Take safety measures as no help is available nearby

Sri Bateshwar Mahaprabhu Temple is an 8th century temple near the Rushikulya rookery (of Olive Ridley turtles) and Humma village in Ganjam district of Odisha. There is a sea beach near the temple.Situated about 8 kilometres from the NH16, this temple is of archaeological importance. Devanagari and Kutila scripts are in the inscriptions at the site. However, they cannot be read due to the poor clarity of these inscriptions dating to the 10th Century. As per this report in The Hindu in 2016, during excavation that year, a small Parvati Temple was found buried near the main Temple. Many artifacts were found. Historians believe the site of the Bateshwar Temple was a part of an ancient urban civilisation of Odisha. Near the Bateshwar Temple, there is a path that leads to a thick Casuarina forest. It was great to walk through the path in the forest while the sun played hide and seek. A beautiful beach beckoned. The pristine and serene sea beach was such a fabulous treat! I will let the pictures do the talking.

One of the best hidden and less crowded beaches of odisha. Good place to spend time away from all the crowds, with your loved ones and friends. This is actually a nesting site for olive Ridley turtles, hence requested to keep the beach clean If you are visiting. Not recommended for family and bathing. Visit and return while day light is there if you are not visiting in groups.

This is a holy place f lord Siba at seashore bay of Bengal. Many people come here to enjoy the beauty of nature and also get the charm of swimming with friends and family. They feast in the forest of jham tree. Totally restriction of onion, garlic and meat. Odisha government tourism take the responsibility of the temple and seashore. In the month of February olive Ridley tortoise, that you can see them. In the historical says that lord Ram adore lord shiva just giving the fruit of bata. So the name is bateswar. Come here and enjoy.

An excellent peaceful place. Definitely recommend if you really need your own time. Try to avoid travelling at extremely high temperatures. During summer, early morning is recommended, otherwise any time in the rainy season or winter season you can travel.

we came here around 11.30 pm for a tea break near beach. just on a whim. firstly we stopped the car near the temple and a man was watering the big cow statue with a water hose pipe. we started walking towards the beach and saw another temple with steps . THIS TEMPLE IS FROM 8TH CENTURY, IT'S BEEN EXCAVATED FROM UNDERGROUND. THANKS TO THE ARCHEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT OF INDIA. I GOT TO KNOW THIS AFTER I LEFT THE PLACE. OTHERWISE WOULD HAVE EXPLORED. I've given pics aslo. another 100 meter walk and we crossed the prohibited zone signboard. the beach was almost clear of people and so it was very clean, which was unusual. absolutely loved the beach and it's solitude. see the pics for a better idea. will come here later in life . btw you have to ask around locals for directions a little bit cos the Google map was not perfect
