Well maintained property with excellent staff who is responsive. From security to front desk to breakfast team, all are well mannered. Few suggestions though, have more variety on daily basis in breakfast as currently menu repeats alternate day. Include more local dishes. There are unleashed dogs on property who seems to not have been trained to understand guest and tends to bark every time they see new person, train them and leash them.

No words to explain the amazing experience. Cannot believe the serenity this place offers in the middle of a crowded city. The Bengal Renaissance Architecture along with the story of once living Kings and Queens made the place live. Service is as expected as you can get from the Taj hotel chains. Professional actions with an intimate friendly attitude... The best one can offer. 13 acres of master planned land is a pioneer of planning..... You can spend a full day roaming around the property yet it will feel new the very next day...

Go back in time to the bygone era of Bengal and witness vintage Bengal like never before. A fantastic boutique hotel which will take you to the Zamindar Era. Experience culture, architecture and art of that period at Raajkutir. Raajkutir comprising 33 well appointed rooms, a restaurant serving Bengali and British colonial food, a spa which will help you experience ancient therapies, a bar which is known as Swig, a deli known as the Loafer Cafe and also multiple banqueting options. It is a great place for social celebration and a holiday experience with a difference.

Beautiful experience, only parking area should be developed. Road lights can be improved. Food quality is excellent, staff are well trained. Only difficulty during rainy session, some portions is facing water staggering problem.

Pathetic place in the name of heritage. I am surprised how Taj Hroup got fooled by this property. The entrance sucks. Theres a big locality of illegal migrants all around this property that charges a permium. You will know what I am talking about once you come to stay here unfortunately.

A hotel where the staff is humble and customer service oriented is what u need. This was a quick getaway from work and frankly very safe for a single women travelling alone. Its a beautiful hidden gem in the city . The hotel ensure that each and everyone is catered to and a more personal attention to detail is adhered to. Definetly going back again....

Recently I have been to Raajkutir in Swabhumi. Had heard lots of reviews about the place but could not manage to visit . With apprehension during Covid , one fine day we planned a lunch date to Rajkutir. About Location : Well maintained Property of Ambuja with very few people in the restaurant. Safety : With Covid in mind , Place was well Santizied. Tables were arranged with good gap in-between. Cutlery are Santizied and comes in wrapper. You yourself have to open it. Food : We were served herbal tea and it was surely a surprise but very much needed. .My Family liked the gesture. Menu was loaded with Indian and Continental dishes to choose upon. Since we prefer Continental , We started with Jali Kebab , Chicken brochate and a bowl ,Cream of chicken soup. On main Course - Keema Roti , Phulko luchi with alur dum , Ghee Mutton roast , Dhakai Morog Pulao . Very Much recommended. Price : Average Cost of Per item is around Rs 350 . With group of 5 People , it's will be Rs 800/head. Durga Puja Special Thali - Rs 1199

Over priced and overrated place. Ambience is very good. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. However rooms are highly overpriced. Food taste is ok type and quantity is very less considering the price. Dining service is very slow. Overall it's just one time place to visit.

Ambience of this place is no doubt marvelous. • Best place for influencers and instagram photos but if you're going for food specifically then it was mediocre. We went to "The Swig" restuarant but we got India Room restuarant's menu. I'm guessing they were serving buffet but we wanted a la Carte so the options were kinda limited. • Food was eatable but not very tasty compared to the super pricey limited options. • Coming to the service:- Staffs were really friendly and cordial. Chefs were busy and the service was snail speed. So it was disappointing little bit as we went there with our old grandparents. Overall, I'll suggest don't go during the banquet or wedding seasons. As the service will be super long. :)

The place is simply so so soooo beautiful. The ambience is very filmy. Looks like a movie set from a different era. The decor here is very royal. Perfect for photoshoot. Loved this place. Very easy to locate. Our event was at the velvet lounge. It was small yet well maintained.

Very good stay for 3 days from 09 to 11 March 2022. The ambience transported me to the days of Indian zamindars lifestyle. The courtyard surrounded by living rooms is a great attraction. There are few suggestions to improve the facility. Electrical sockets require to be checked. A newspaper may be provided in the room. For a double occupancy room another pair of bathroom sleepers can be provided.

The ambience of the property is old world colonial charm meets Art Deco. The rooms are spacious and airy. Great option for a small family get together, several venues on property. The room service needs improvement and slight maintenance issues (pigeons under the roof, shower pressure).

It was really nice experience . All the staffs behaved well. Breakfast was nice and healthy. Swimming pool is under construction. Dinner was not that level. They arrange Evening cultural program every day. I recommend to stay in premium rooms.

It was an unique experience in the middle of Kolkata. The modern facilities at the hotel with cultural ambience is incomparable. The lush green space and the open areas in the property provides you an opportunity to spend time with nature. In the evening there was a live dance and martial arts performance in the courtyard, and we loved it ! Classy ambience, heavenly food with robust flavours of authentic Bengali cuisine, excellent service and well mannered staff, I would like to mention Mr. Manoj here, for his overwhelming hospitality. The chef himself came to ask if everything was okay, which gave us a very homely feeling. All the dishes, the cocktails and the whole experience will be cherished by us and we will visit again very soon.

OVER PRICED HOTEL The room was really lovely and the hotel grounds are nice. Lovely gardens and the size of the bathroom was nice. However, the price you pay is far too much for what you receive. They claim they are five star and it really isn't. Clunky check in, with a wierd way if entering the hotel. Our shower pressure was terrible -thoroughly disappointing when you are looking forward to a 5 star hotel shower. They woke us up twice at night -once on the phone at 11:30, and the other with a cake delivery (???) at 12:15am. We were looking forward to a full night sleep away from our kids! Then the next morning the pump broke so there was no water for two hours, and the ac stopped working for a few hours (maybe when they switched to the generator for a power cut?). They offered us a bucket of water to flush the toilet 🤣. The dining room in the pictures online isn't where you have breakfast, it's feels very B grade in a large hall. The staff would say things like "a plumber is coming" But they never did. Staff were kind and friendly but needed more training or professionalism I thought. I appreciate the manager listening to us and adjusting the price to a fairer one. I give the hotel credit for that. If it wasn't sold as a five star hotel and the price was adjusted to perhaps a four stat price I would recommend it to others. Overall we walked away happy as they gave us a discount after our experience. But if we had to pay the standard price I would have far rather gone to many of the other 5 star hotels in Kolkata.

We came here on 30th November for lunch and liked the food and ambience. Today we came with our family members and enjoyed the food even better. Our host Mr Munshi was fantastic. He suggested the appetiser and it was wonderful. We had a good dry red wine with cheese. Main meal was cooked to perfection and Chef Biswarup has been in charge. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. We wish the whole team all the very best.

Place is really well decorated with 4 Halls to chose from... Starting from Santushti which is the most cost effective open area. The second one being Rangdarbar another open cum closed area to fit around 400 heads. The third one being Rang manch and fifth one Ras manch are the closed banquet halls with immensely decorated spaces. It's one of teh heritage properties and yet the price is comparable...

MY god ....its the most third class property i have ever stayed in....basically this hotel is made on garbage dumping ground so there are hell lot of dangerous mosquitoes whoz bite can give u swelling skin which i also did suffered....most uncomfortable beds to sleep. ..moreover the linens are washed or santised with such harsh chemicals that u will get skin irritation....i have terribly suffered during my 2 days stay...however the staff behavior is polite but most of them are trainees it seems...clueless abt what 2 say and how 2 react..confused.... Rooms are very basic with very SADDISTIC energy....with improper dull lighting... Overall I would say...I won't stay there even if they pay me to stay there

The place is very beautiful and secure. No security threats felt for staycation of single lady boarder also. Food is also very tasty. Room service and response to any requests is fast from reception also. I only thing I didn't like is regularly photo shoots happen in the premises and the photographer crews use the guest patio also. No prior instructions is given to these photographers not use to the guest patio. They should put Reserved sign on guest patio. I found 3 people having lunch on my patio, once I informed authorities they removed these people and also sanitized my patio. Overall I had a very nice experience. Will like to go again.

'Raajkutir' the name itself is enough to describe the place. Royal banquet with amazing ambience which is simply beyond words. The place has a touch of bengal ethnic royalty and mesmerizing interior . The hospitality was so amazing and the food they serves are really premium quality. Perfect for photoshoot, events, corporate parties, and so on.

This place had one of the worst hospitality services I've seen in a while. Definitely visit this place if you want to get frustrated. Even after a reservation we had to wait for 2.5 hours ,we were in the waiting room and the food was far away from arriving at our table

It was a good stay with great staff and a great Sous Chef, except the below which I think is a reflection of the ambuja neotia patronage. 1. The breakfast spread just had vegetarian items on display, possibly because of a certain type of condescending clientile. We, as Bengalis, had to ask for items like bacon and sausage, separately. When the sausage and the bacon arrived, they were stale! Clearly, they don't get enough Bengalis. 2. The swimming pool was supposed to be open between 10 to 8, but when we went to check it out, it was locked with no lights and we had to wait for 15 minutes in a closed, dark space. 3. We wanted to check out the bar, The Swig; at the door the staff looked at us and asked, "are you over 21 years of age?" We were so surprised that we didn't even bother to question this behaviour. We took it as a compliment :)

2 times we went there for Buffet and lunch, I am fully satisfied with the service. The food quality and quantity is very good. Generally for a buffet/ lunch during festival times will cost 1200-1400 for a single person. But the items are plenty and sitting arrangement is also good. Ample space for car parking. You can take as much photos as you want, no one will ask you anything. The premises is very well maintained and full of nature and architectural work.

The place is nice for a staycation. The look has a feel of vintage Rajbari , of old days. The courtyard is spread out, which provides a good view of the place. Very good in terms of taking a good pic. But, the food is restaurant is not up to the mark. Food items are overpriced and the quantity of food in dishes is low. Overall a good stay.

There was cockroach inside the room , showed it to the house keeping staff , have video proof for the same. Its a breach of hygiene protocol . My wife forgot her wallet inside the room but no one informed the same ,which is a basic formality. Breakfast was pretty much ordinary .It's not at all expected from IHCL, it's not worth of a 5 star stay .

All About Akash – Smriti wedding at Swabhumi Raajkutir Our wedding was held at Swabhumi Raajkutir on the 1st and 2nd of May. This property is located at one of the central and posh localities of Salt Lake city with good connectivity and makes it easier for the guests to commute. We read a lot of reviews about this place and decided to visit with my family to look around and see if this ‘THE PLACE' for our wedding. At the very first visit this boutique hotel touched my heart and I decided this is it and my search for the venue ends here. But there was a lot more to consider amidst Covid and availability. After a series of discussions with the Raajkutir employees I blocked the venue for our wedding. Now about the Guest experience. This boutique hotel captures the spirit of the Bengali renaissance and being a Bengali I felt an eternal connection to this place. It is a place that is bustling with laughter, antique boutiques, dazzling chandeliers, and architectural heritage. It was a full 2 days packed escapade with events and ceremonies planned. This boutique hotel has curated rooms which offers a truly nostalgic zamindar bari ambience. This wedding gave us the reason for merrymaking, family get-togethers and association. Conventions and event venues (Raangmanch, Raasmanch, Arcadia) are pure magnificence to host a lavish wedding. The venue is so beautiful it captured our hearts and made our wedding a memorable event. Overall, a historical experience. A wedding is incomplete without delicious food. Throughout the events exceptional culinary was selected and served to the guests which accolated very positive guest reviews. This wedding is made eventful and hassle-free by the courteous and cooperative staff. A big shout out to the event Manager Ms.Samarpita. She was the backbone to coordinate this event with me. She ensured all the events are timed well and guests are looked after. She has a very welcoming personality and that is why we connected well and together we called out an eventful wedding. I would also like to mention about banquet Manager Mr. Gautam. He was the man behind coordinating the buffet and ensured guests were served well. A special mention of this hotel's evening events. Evening Baul sangeet gaan, special performances by the performers accentuated guest experience. We felt divine and solitude. It was that time to switch off and relax. Overall, a very positive experience and I highly recommend this place for your special events.

We all loved it. The ambiance of the place, the welcome offered to us by the staff was amazing. They made us feel so welcome. You made our stay wonderful. I must mention the reception staff and Ankita in particular. Lovely place. Saying that I need to mention one point ....Your beds are too high, good if you are a high or pole vault jumper which I don't think most of your female guests are. Please atleast provide with a small stool.

This was my first experience at a luxury boutique hotel and Raajkutir delivered well. The entrance might be small but it has its own significance. When you enter the premises you will definitely have a change of mood. Rooms are pretty and has the old Raajkutir (Royal residence) theme with modern facilities. They have a dining room overlooking a huge open space where you can sit and enjoy your evening. Another beautiful thing about this place is the hospitality of the people working here, I just want to congratulate each one of them for their beautiful service. Overall, would recommend others to visit and enjoy their mood, food and hospitality. PS- There is a bar called " The Swig " which has an amazing story which when narrated by the bartender is a great experience.

A property worth spending time with your loved ones in the mid of the crowded city. The good - the whole decoration and feel. You will never feel like staying in Kolkata. It feels like away from city in a hill. Food was very good Bakery products were excellent. The behavior of all staffs were outstanding. Mr. Manoj was the guy we looked for every time we ordered a food. He was always there from start to the end to supply our need. The resort organize different cultural programs every morning and every evening. Enjoy the evening breeze in the beautiful "Dalan" area. The bar is well equipped and a great place to hang out with friends. I got a very satisfactory stay from a property in Kolkata after many years. I wish they shine like this in future as well. I didn't find any mentionable drawbacks. Must visit for all. Wish they carry on this legacy.

The service is excellent. The reception of newly arriving guest is so unique that reflects our own culture and heritage. At every step the team described the history of such heritage connecting respective incidents. A book describing the history of the place is available in every room. One would definitely enjoy such luxury staying at Raajkutir. One must taste their food in lunch or dinner as those are awesome for sure.

Excellent property and one can really not believe such splendor can exist within this city which is absolutely as if it is miles away from the centre. The quiet beauty of this place n the splendor is breathtaking. The property is very very well maintained with an excellent staff who are ever ready to help should you want anything (which I assure you that you won't), and with an ever present smile. The restaurant staff, though perpetually run off their feet are also ever smiling n ever helpful, polite and respectful. Again let me say each and every staff is ever smiling, ready to help and respectful. The food is seriously excellent, so well prepared and served by people who never show a line of tiredness on their faces even though they are extremely busy. I seriously cannot express enough in words what an awesome experience I enjoyed at this place. Please visit for yourselves and experience this awesomeness. The quiet beauty, splendor and staff who are ever smiling and helpful will certainly get you. Imagine an army of people with ever smiling faces and eagerness to help....you will get it here. THANK YOU RAJKUTIR, YOU ARE MINDBLOWING.

Amazing!! A world class service I have received at there. Every member of the staff-team with whom we interacted set new standards for us for hotel and hospitality experiences. This was my first stay at the Raajkutir and it surpassed my many previous experiences at fine hotels around the Country. Room was extremely comfortable, bedding excellent and additional call-out recognizing the hotel's well-appointed fitness center. Bravo !!

A fantastic getaway in the middle of the city, yet completely isolated from all the noise and traffic. The service and the food are exceptional, definitely a much better option than any run-of-the-mill 5-star hotel if relaxation is on one's mind. Chef Biswaroop and his team will go out of their way to feed you until you pop. Will definitely revisit in the winter.

We had a warm welcome with arti and welcome drink. The rooms are a blend of traditional and modern which is very unique. The restaurants are good and have a colonial vibe. The courtyard is pretty and there is an evening event too. We will definitely recommend this place and plan on staying again.

An amazing place, peaceful, calm and no pollution. The staff is very well behaved, humble and polite. The manager was very helpful. Rooms are decorated with antique furniture. Food tastes amazing. Peaceful. And Mr. Yogesh was one of the most humble staff. Treated us like his own family. Gave us a tour of the entire property.

Likely one of the best kept secrets in Kolkata, Raajkutir was a beautiful home away from home for a few days during this Puja season, for my family. We had a great time exploring the raajbadi and learning about the history. During the evenings, music and dance filled the courtyard celebrating the Pujo stories. The breakfasr was delicious, served at various royal banquet halls sprawled across the property. Opt for the breakfast here! The staff was fantastic right from Sunitha who helped us check in and share stories about the resort, to Abhijit the friendly and resourceful housekeeping staff, Yogesh on the ground escorting us around the resort and helping us check out and also the friendly staff at the entrance! It's super accessible from anywhere in Kolkata. And once inside, you'll be transported back in time. Check it out!

It's situated close to the salt lake stadium metro station. It's a huge property at swabhumi, that has been beautifully developed and decorated. It has beautiful open spaces, courtyards, carefully curated rooms that offer a luxurious stay. They have 3 separate wings for food and drinks. The loafer's cafe ( catering to small bites ), the east india restaurant ( the main food hub) and the swig ( choicest cocktails and more). The hospitality and service is top notch. The ever smiling staff are courteous and eager to help. Bonus - they have a dedicated show from 6pm to 7pm that holds up the rich local culture of bengal. Every part of the property is highly photogenic. It was an absolutely lovely staycation experience.

A lovely secluded event space tucked away within easy reach of the airport and other amenities. We were there for a wedding and the staff were all so friendly and helpful at meeting our needs. A bathroom leak was fixed almost instantly and our rooms, cleaned according to our schedule. Food is good and the spaces, including the courtyard and Rang Manch hall, are so picturesque. Might not be as convenient for touring the sights in the center, but we'd highly recommend a stay!
