Beautiful spot. Great view over Bloemfontein. Loved the wild life up hear. Wildebeests, zebra, buck, even giraffes. However it lost a star due to lack of maintenance. Disappointing to see litter.

Absolutely stunning view! Entrance is free! The view over Boemfontein is breath taking! The signs to the statue is confusing and not to be followed as it will direct you away from the statue. Rather ask around wich turn offs to take to get to the statue. The signs will missdirect you. Otherwise worthwhile taking the uphill drive to Naval Hill. Percy Martin

It's a nice place to view the city of roses, Bloemfontein and the Mandela statue. Whenever I'm in Bloemfontein, I visit this site to chill. 02.02.2024 - my view remains the same.

Short walk from parking area you'll find the statue. Two spectacular viewing decks overlook Bloemfontein CBD. The entire area is well maintained. Public Toilets are not in this vicinity, instead closer to the parking area when driving in. Recommended.

Anything related to Madiba will always be special

Interesting and impressive larger than life statue that towers above the park visitors. Some nice structures or viewing platforms built out over the park. Go mid morning for best results. The afternoon there were 3 busloads of young school kids so it became too busy. And it's a pity that the restaurant and coffee shop is closed. But I hear the owners want to much rent. So instead, it remains empty for some years.

It is on a good place, the crowd loves the place

If you like running or jogging this is the mountain for you. Not only that but I also enjoy chilling up here with my wife, enjoy the nature feel this place gives, sometimes we are lucky enough to spot a few wild life up close and personal 😅. I also love visiting the planetarium up here...time to time they have events in the planetarium and its beautiful out there. I wonder how the management sustains this place since its free to enter!🤔 however heyy😁beautiful park up here.

Very clean park.. This place is good for jogging. It has a nicely paved way to jog on the side of the road. There's 24-hour security on the premises, so it's quite safe. I hear it has a variety of animals, I've only seen one giraffe. There's a planetarium, but I've never been inside it. This place offers a very nice view of Bloemfontein, especially at night. Entry is free.

It's a very beautiful place to be at, on you don't just see the statue of UTata Nelson Mandela, but there's also a very beautiful view of the city of Bloemfontein, you are able to view most of it and admire the beauty from the top, and also there are animals to view over there,

You can overlook the entire Bloemfontein, and there is a high probability of meeting giraffes. You can go for a walk.

There was a bus visiting and we were 4 people. They was 50 busy with there photoshoots and they decide to move to the left of the statue for us to quickly take photoshoots. We appreciate that because our family was from NZ and this are a perfect example for them to experience the respect we have for our people in SA

You get a chance to see a beautiful view of the City of Roses "Bloemfontein". It's peaceful and lovely and again it would be a preferred place if you want to rid personal issues

The views from up there are amazing, even spotted ostriches on our way down the hill. Overall, BEAUTIFUL!!!

Good place to visit! This is statue of Nelson Mandela on a mountain in Bloemfontein. There are beautiful weather,natural beauty and wild animals like Ostrich, zarafa, elephant, deer etc.

Great view, was not very busy. There is a professional photographer around that can help you with pics.

This is a very lovely place to chill with loved ones, it's very beautiful and the breeze from the hill is calming. You get to view the city of Mangaung from the hill top to admire the beautym .

This park was amazing! There are giraffes, ostriches and much more wildlife running free there. It has a 5k trail and so many other trails to explore.

Awesome for Park runs, great view of Bloemfontein nice place to come with your family. And if you are lucky you be able to spot a giraffe or other wildlife

Lovely views of Bloemfontein but that's about it. Loved all the animals but it was so sad to see another casualty of Covid with a stunning restaurant "The Edge" also closed.

Free visit, and it was rather pleasent to witness the views on offer.

Beautiful big statue on Naval Hill. Nelson Mandela is looking over Bloemfontein. I think that the statue's face doesn't look like Nelson MAndela

Nice to drive through but place and road needs serious maintenance.
