This is the second time that we stayed at Amanzi and once again it was an unforgettable experience. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and all of them really goes the extra mile to make it a home from home. The facilities are really first class and very impressive. No expenses were spared to create a really first class African Bush lodge adventure. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

A game park about an hour from Bloemfontein, well worth a stay, beautiful setting, various accommodation all positioned for privacy and insync with the landscape. Low veld with roaming antelopes, zebra, giraffe etc. Game drive was super informative with herds of animals. Staff so very pleasant and the whole park extremely well run. Highly recommended.

The service from the reception staff was great the whole time. The room was clean upon arrival and serviced to the same standard each time. The food at the restaurant was top notch from the breakfast to dinner, and value for money. The Game drive is well worth the money and drinks and snacks included in the price. Guide was knowledgeable.

Nice, but probably wouldn't go again. Pro's - Staff very friendly. Grounds are kept very clean. Camp terrain is very nicely setup, with each site having a braai, basin and shade, also the bathroom are very nice, clean and modern. Con's - You cannot drive to see the game with your own vehicle, you have to do a game drive at a pretty expensive price. All activities you have to pay for. The road to the reserve is NOT caravan friendly. All in all, a nice place, but seeing that its a game reserve and I went to enjoy the animals and drive around in the field(as majority of of game reserves allow you to do - that's the whole point of visiting a reserve) and not being able to do so, I will not be visiting them again. If its because of fear of poaching, rather sell the leopard(locked in a cage) and appoint a ranger to protect the animals and make it free for all to enjoy.

We had a wonderful experience here with my colleagues. Rooms are spacious and good for sharing, but our bathroom didn't have a window for air circulation. The place is clean, with friendly staff members. The food was delicious. Our Tour guide was the best as we had a game drive.

A place to stay and see the wild adventure

It was such a beautiful experience. I went with my girlfriend. It was both our first time on a game drive. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favourite was the archery and pellet gun target practise, our assistant Dominic made it so enjoyable, even though I missed a few rounds.😅 We wanted to go back as soon as we got home, we regretted not spending a few days there.

This is a really beautiful game lodge. It has a big variety of accomodation options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are numerous activities, including hiking trails, game drives and archery. There is also a wedding venue with a picturesque view. The sunsets are also amazing!

Beautiful place with amazing accomodation. We spent a weekend at Amanzi for a school reunion. Service and meals were very good and the Mountain Lodge venue is beautiful with excuisite views! Best coffee ever!

Had a lovely stay whilst camping at Amanzi. Lots of wildlife. Great walks. Only complaint would be the large generator and water pump that's right next to the campsite.

I camped with 2 grandchildren . What a lovely camping experience it was. Everything was very clean. The swimming pool was a great treat!

Was expecting to get sufficient rooms space as couples outing we had. Bigger room and shower.

It was my second time visiting Amanzi. We were a group of 5 ladies, we stayed in cottage 1 and room 5. The only challenge we had with room 5 was not having a window in the bathroom and there was no hot water but overall we enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent, our rooms were cleaned daily. We enjoyed the game drive and the massage was exquisite, I felt like taking a nap after the spa treatment. The food at the restaurant was delicious and Nyasha was our waiter for the whole weekend. He served us very well and took efforts to ensure that we are happy. He is really a hard worker and knows how to keep patrons happy. I think I will be returning to Amanzi again just for the spa treatments...

We went to Amanzi for our year end function, staff was friendly, clean rooms and the place is well sought after. The weather was a bit gloomy so we did not fully enjoy the experience as we would have liked. We took a walk to the cross in the morning, very serene. Will definitely go back with my family to fully enjoy other activities.

Perhaps the best game resort within one hour drive from Bloemfontein. It offers different types of accomodations, a restaurant and different activities: game drives, walking trails, archery, paintball, cycling.

Beautiful spot! Grounds are kept in A+ shape. Everything is neat and tidy. Restaurant was great. Friendly staff and good food. We also loved the animal sanctuary. Stayed in room # 10 right by the pool. Its small, and a bit stuffy; no wifi either. Id pony up a bit more cash get a different room next time.

Stayed here as part of kuchee safari and loved the daily breakfast at the restaurant and daily laundry service. We tried out archery and beebee guns which was a first some member of our group. The animals safari was delightful with different animal fact from our professional hunter and the thoughtfulness of the guide for snacks mid was thru is hard to top. Staff is super nice and helpful! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful all round experience. Complaints. I am a part of a group of campers that have been camping together at many different places over the past 7 years. This is the only campsite where the braai is not cleaned daily and the dirt bin emptied. Animal sanctuary has a leopard, chicken and monkeys that you would see anywhere while traveling through SA. Leopard looks very lonely. There was a function at the boma next to the campsite and the music went on till midnight. Very disruptive for campers looking for piece and quiet. People camp to enjoy nature, not to listen to the lastest top 20.

My wedding was held at Amanzi. Best venue/ delicious food and the most breathtaking views. The accommodations were fabulous and so lovely. The best venue for a wedding , the friendliest staff. They made all my wished come true and no task was to big. They did everything and more of what I asked. They were helpful in everyway possible. They went out of their way to make my day special and stress free. Leonora is the best and her staff is very friendly and helpful. They made my bid day perfect.

We were there with 3 of my friends. It is such a beautiful place, the reception staff are friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. The atmosphere is just wow. I’ d definitely go back again.

The hospitality in the place is of very low standards(hostile reception area), the activities listed on the website are not fully complemented by the facilities: 1. Mountain biking: only substandard bycicles were made available with no safety gear 2. Paintball activity: Some guns were not working properly 3. Game drives: the game in the place is running fairly low, and the snacks, shooo! horrible. Accommodation: 1. No replenishment of bathroom items 2. The towels had a funny smell (not sure if they were washed prior to occupancy?) 3. No regards for safety again, there were no emergency numbers posted anywhere or provision for contacting the reception area in case of an emergency. Access: 1. Couldn’t exit the facility at night as the gates were completely locked with no security at the gate, again disregard for safety, what should one do if they want to get to the hospital at night? Food: 1. The worst! There must be some food shedding going on… Overall, the place seems like it was running well in the past but it is not satisfactory anymore. Definitely not as advertised!

Have been to the Resort numerous times. But unfortunatley will not return. Last visit we decided to camp with friends over a period of 4 days. Only to find that the swimming pool at the camping area is now a party spot with loud music and lots of alcohol. Our children could not use the swimming pool at the camping area due to some drunk people and unsafe space. People who stay at the charlets uses the camping area showers and leave everything untidy. All other campers during our stay were also unhappy. The only good were: The food at restaurant were excellent. Staff at reception were very friendly. Camping site area are very big and nice but if management can apply the rules we will visit again.

Lovely weekend break away! Had a wonderful time with the family. Kiddies loved the swimming pools as well as the game drive. We had an excellent guide on the game drive and saw a wide variety of animals. The restaurant is also worth a visit.

Was so good. The food was great and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxed. After dinner we still had time to take a strole around, watch the beautiful sunset and just take in the beauty of it all. The most wonderful experience was when the lions started roaring and it sounded as if they were just around the corner. Can not wait to go again and make is an outing for the day. Just love what you did to enhance the experience since we were last there 11 years ago. Well done Leonora and staff.

I cannot recommend staying at this game reserve enough. I was there only for one night, but the service impressed me greatly. The guesthouse room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, the Free State scenery breathtaking, and the food truly delicious (I highly recommend trying the venison potjie and peanut butter milkshake).
