The experience was lovely! The waiter, KG was very friendly and our food was great. I don't have kids, but the play area for kids is quite big and spacious. That was impressive. I'd recommend people to visit this spur at Langenhoven Park.

Great service. Someone at my table made a very inappropriate comment towards the waiter, yet she handled it perfectly. I apologized to her. But she did deliver good service. Food was as expected, and the coffee was at a perfect temperature. Bathrooms were clean and neat. The place was very busy on Saturday morning, which means it's a good family spot. (huge children playground) i enjoyed my visit here. Keep up the good work.

I took my wife to Silver Chief Spur tonight for an early birthday celebration . We love this Spur as the food is great and the service even better. and I understand that it was a busy night and you where filled to capacity, and we where willing to to wait as the service makes the wait worthwhile. but tonight I was very disappointed. We had been waiting in line and was second to be seated, but when a bigger party showed up they where taking in directly to be seated (they did not have a reservation). I know that more people means more money for you, but once you place monitory value over regular customers, I would rather not support you again. It was very disrespectful to those waiting there. We left on the spot to to take our business elsewhere.

I don't know why I always get served by waiters who don't seem to want to give service at this spur. Everything is great but the service I personally received here has always been so bad. I know this place is mostly white folks which is great but I can't begin to understand why some waiters treat us young black folks like trash here. I fail to understand. Management please speak to your people 🙏🏽. Maybe we black folks don't give a satisfactory tip ey! Or maybe we do but that just depends on your service don't we all think?! Lastly may the black staff here please not judge us from the last black person who gave them attitude or whatsoever because we not the same. Some are blessed with money and some are not so we can't always expect a tip ey come on.

We went to this Spur branch on the 11th of April 2023. We were served by Lisa. Lisa was very professional in her conduct and we thank Spur for an awesome experience. The food and coffee was great and will definitely visit again when we are in Bloemfontein again.

Phoned ahead for an order. Got home did not receive any sauce with the steak we ordered and no chips or onion rings with the one steak. Phoned again, the gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful and apologized. Still had to drive back all the way from Bainsvlei to collect the rest of the order.

Coming to this Spur for the first time (22.12.22) I must truly say that their First impression will most definitely last!!!! My friend and I took out the kids for the day. We did not wait 5min and already we had a waiter ready to assist us (Theo). Throughout our time being there, we felt like VIP's as it felt like we were the only ones there. He came around counyless times to make sure that we are a 100% fine. As we were still enjoying ourselves, one of the managers (Keneth) came to introduce himself to us and to also ask us if we are okay. Again another manager (Thabo) came around to offer us a bag for our doggy-bags, but at that time our Amazing waiter also made sure that we were covered as we already had received the bags. Big-up's to Silver Chief Spur Steak Ranch!!!!!!👍👍👌👌

Had a New year's Eve dinner with the family and friends. Let the kids play at the large play area. Unfortunately the play ground smelled of urine. Otherwise a good experience and friendly and accommodating staff.

It's an amazing spur where all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere is grait veels, safe and comfortable. Only critiek I have is the time they take to prepare the food was a bit long eventhou it wasn't that bussy.

I took my mother and daughter for a late lunch just after church on Saturday. We were saved by a waiter, black guy. The food was good, we didn't even wait that long to receive our food after placing the order. At first, I thought maybe he's not having a good day. No introduction, just brought the menu and had no minimal conversation, mind you he brought an incorrect order as well but we made no fuss about it as besilambile wethu. I would have left it at, maybe akanabo ububele indalo. As we're eating, the table opposite gets occupied by abantu abamhlope. Ndimbukele ke lo mfana and eavesdrop ndive iservice yakhe, he greets them with a cheerful face, introduces himself, makes incoko, tells them what's on special, what's nice on the menu etc. Haibo! Kanti ngumntu othethayo. Thina we ordered double burgers, he came with single and I was confused because he seemed very irritated / agitated when he was taking our order. KwaSpur mos, there's always those round checks from who's serving you at the time or imanager ize ijikele, our guy didn't at all. We were done and had to call out for the bill, and I signaled him and asked for a doggy bag. Eventually the manager came to greet and we requested the bag from him, he brought it same time. Andiyazi mahn, it seemed he has levels of respect or service that he activates when he serves a certain group of people. With whites ebemhle, encumile and conversing. Kuthi oko equmbile, ebudikwa.

The food was really good🥰💃💃💃,I enjoyed my meal untill the last piece of it 😂😂😂and the service I got from the manager was amazing. definitely getting my food from here again

I like this spur I have been to the other spurs around Bloemfontein and I prefer this one for me and my family ,safe and friendly The reason for my rating is, your food is not all round fresh your chips never look fresh I have eaten at various places and we can taste and see the difference

This Spur reminds me of the first ones many many years ago. I can see us getting exited to go there again, if we only lived in Bloem... well done Silver Chiefs.

I have eaten here before, and the service was great, so maybe this time was an exception. We sat down and had to wait 10 minutes before the waiter took our drinks order. Then, after about 30 minutes, we had to go call him to place our food order, and then we waited another hour before the food came. One of the plates had a half grilled steak, so that was also disappointing.

Best experience i had at a spur. Donald our waiter, hats off you to you, mate. Excellent service 10/10. Keep up the good work.

Took my daughter and her grandmother for an early birthday as I will not be with her my child for her birthday. They set up a pretty table for her, etc. Our waiter was excellent. The food was perfect as was dessert. The ice cream machine stopped working, and they made a plan for ice cream instead of saying their machine was out of order. I didn't take photos of gran and my food nor the dessert but took photos of us and a video of staff singing happy birthday to her.

Very good service although it was a very busy afternoon. Food was delicious. Play area is very clean and big enough for many children, supervision is great, love the system with the tags used on the clothes of the children.

Being supporting spur for a few years now and used to the great food and quality. Traveling alot and have been to quite a few spurs,Silver chiefs definitely stands out for me personally above the rest. Food is always good at any spur.... But what makes it even better is the friendly staff, quick service atmosphere and the food prepared exactly to my taste..... Keep it up silver chiefs!!

Very high standards of food. It is one of the best Spur that I visited in South Africa. The manager is very entertaining. The food served is very generous and tasty.

Had an exceptional chicken schnitzel. All around a great place to meet friends and family. Wonderful for taking your kids to.

We arrived with a large party without prior arrangement. They found us seating place very quickly, and our waiter really looked after us very well. We had a great time and the atmosphere was superb

My husband and I got a very bad service yesterday at this place. As we walked in for breakfast,it was 11am but we were told by the entrance that we may order breakfast quick still,as we wished. Got placed at a table and waited 5-10 minutes for a waiter. When the waiter (Andile) arrived he said to me that we cannot order breakfast,I told him that I was already told from the entrance that we can order it still quick... "He said ok but I saw you walked in at 11:01". So I asked is that why you took 10 minutes to come and attend us??!?! He then took the breakfast order,our food came 43 minutes later. No warning or update while we were waiting as to why our food was delayed so much. When him and some trainee he was working with brought our food,the trainee banged our onion rings side plate on the table,some of them fell on the table and the waiter Andile just said "askies" and they left. As angry as I was for the bad service,we ate and paid without a tip off course... Now my voucher is still not loaded on my membership card,of which I gave them my membership number. It is not the first time this happens at the same Spur. I am really hurt and disappointed in this bad service because I am a very loyal and frequent customer there.

They need more waiters and waitresses. Place is great, service is good, service is slow. Or maybe your people need to work together split the tips, do something.

Terrible service ordered full portion of salady the lettuces was a messy, not fresh and the chef knew about it and he put it on the bottom of the plate and the few fresh ones on top.When I complained to the manager he replaced it again with the same lettuces washed 🤮🤮🤮

Food was great. Staff were great. Giving this rating because the people running this Spur need a reminder that rotating tables is the way they make money. Arrived around 18:00 and left around 19:15. In this time watch the team turn away about 8 customers while the restaurant was empty. Mr owner, change your policy else customers won’t bother.

I wish I could give them a -1 star. I am not a person who complains a lot but unfortunately I can not keep quiet this time. My husband turned 25 on Sunday. As usual, we go to Spur on a birthday or any other special day. Sunday, we had a horrible experience. Where should I begin. The waitress never introduced herself. She was MIA most of the time. We ordered Bar One milkshakes. There was NO Bar One in the milkshakes. It was more like a vanilla milkshahe. My husband got a hair in his milkshake. Then we ordered our main meals. After 40 minutes, when our meals eventually arrived, the waiter forgot to bring as cutlery and one side meal. We asked her, and waited for 10 minutes just to bring us cutlery. Our food were cold at the time we were actually geared to enjoy our meal. During our meal, we ordered cold drinks from another waiter because our waiter was MIA again. We asked for the bill and waited for about 15 minutes. Spur was not even busy. I am extremely disappointed. That was not the way we wanted to celebrate a birthday at Spur.

Had a lovely time there. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly. One thing that just bugged me were the bathrooms, they are way small and there is only two, but other than that I'd go their again.

Food was ok but due to it being super busy the time of the food took longer to come and we only had one waiter for our big party of 20 people. They should have given the guy an assistant.

Delightful Spur. Beautifully clean, good lighting, and delicious food. The service was exceptional. Shout out to our waiter, Richard, who was expert at his job, and made dining out here an absolutely wonderful experience.

Lovely spur and probably the best service I've received from a spur waiter. Lovely play area for the kids and lekker afrikaans treffers while you devour your ribs.

The "normal" Spur experience, great to have access to indoor play area for the kids and a really nice touch to have the cameras broadcasting a livestream of the play area to monitors in dining area, tags on the kids for extra safety etc. Good service and quality portions. Spur, however, is not an "average family" restaurant from a pricing perspective anymore, they became really pricey when compared to some fine dining establishments in our city (or town if you consider Bloem as rural) that are similarly priced or even less expensive in some cases.
