This place is amazing! Great vibe, friendly staff, fantastic service and the most delicious food. We had the chicken livers with potato crosti, and we'll certainly come back again!! Well done guys!!

Never in my life was I so disappointed by a breakfast... Caramellos was one of my favourite to have breakfast or lunch until now. I had a Egg's Norwegian, now this is the salmon version of the famous Egg's Benedict. I was appalled when they brought the dish where the salmon was on the side, the bread was so stale I had to go to the dentist to make sure I didn't break my teeth, but the worst is that I had to build my own Norwegian, which is impossible, cause the eggs will break when you want to pick it up. Seriously do your research before you say it's a Norwegian and not a "build your own" breakfast. The only good thing was the Russian which I requested as an extra. Please see pictures for reference on how a real Egg's Norwegian looks like compared to what I got!?

First impressions count and I was not impressed ~ the waiters were standing outside on the steps. Upon my greeting some mumbled something back. Only when I got closer to the entrance door, one came to ask if we are visiting C's today. I replied that it depends on whether they are friendlier than outside. Inside it was overall good, professional service. Sanitized our hands and our table, as is the new norm. Our waiter was helpful, did not under - or over attend to us. Food was fresh, looked appetizing, tasted OK and was served quickly, which I liked. Portions is the perfect size. Their regular filter coffee is nice. So, if you're hungry and want good food fast, this is the place!

I Love going here to work but unfortunately on my visit Friday I was spoiled with milk ala cockroach and only saw the roach drifting in my warm milk when I picked up the lid...Grosssss please teach you staff to rinse out tea pots etc.

I've been a waiter for more than 11 years in my life, so I'm not a difficult customer. My mom and I went to have brunch at Carmellos Pretty Gardens. She ordered a Tramazini, which was very good, and I ordered the Greek salad. When it arrived, it was the smallest salad I've ever seen. Just to give you an idea, I bought a Greek side salad at Spur yesterday, and it was much bigger. I told the waiter that I was really unhappy with the size of the salad, and he called the manager. I explained that I'm a vegetarian and usually order Greek salads when I'm at restaurants. The manager asked me why I don't eat meat. I tried to clarify that my vegetarian choice is personal and not the issue here. I just wanted to point out that this was the smallest salad I've ever seen in a Bloemfontein restaurant. The manager then said she would forward my complaint to the manager. After some time, she returned, showing me where it says "seasonal availability." She explained that this is why there were only three pieces of lettuce in my salad, even though it cost almost R100. She completely missed the point of my complaint and made me feel foolish. I won't be going back there again, and I hope this post makes others think twice about going there too. Even Spur is a better option if you want vegetarian meals and managers who actually care.

We ordered pancakes for 2 people. It cost us R70 for 2 pancakes in total we paid R140 for 4 pancakes. Nothing 2 it. Was merely the traditional pancakes where a traditional pancake cost nothing more then R7 in normal circumstances. Unbelievable. Never again

Was good overall. I would just have preferred they butter the toast before putting soft eggs on them. Otherwise no problems.
