Reservation is needed in advance because the place is rather small and there aren't sufficient tables to accommodate many clients at once. Food is tasty, no matter what you order and the prices are similar to other restaurants. The serving is on point, quick and clean. The atmosphere is enjoyable, as well as the desserts. Bathroom is a bit odd but well mentained. Apparently there's a fuss about this restaurant but I think most of the people just enjoy a good meal. And Dei Frati can give you the hope of a good meal.

You may see the high score in Google maps and think it might be exaggerated but it's well deserved. The menu is solid and not extensive which is good for such a restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation before visiting as it is well sought after. Food was great and the service was fast and friendly. Cannot find anything to complain about. Highly recommend it for anyone in Brașov.

Nice Italian restaurant with home made pasta. The menu can satisfy ANY wish, so, if you like Italian cuisine or if you want to try it, do not hesitate. The staff will go the extra mile to make your experince even more pleasant.

Positive reviews and very nice aroma filling the area did it for us and... Wow! Duck leg with truffle potato mash and pork with mushroom sauce really went down well. Staff was very caring and attentive, despite them being really busy. Not the Romanian experience I'd crave for being in Romania, but it's a breath of a fresh Italian air I'd savour together with great experiences of the local cuisine.

Everything here was great. Starting with the service, food, athmosphere and prices. We had different type of food ( being 6 people) and all of us enjoyed what we've ordered. We would certainly come back.

The food is great at this restaurant. The starters for 4 people is good, mixing vegetables, meat and cheese. We tried everything, sea food, chicken, beef, the dessert and we loved it! Even it's not at all a cheap place to eat, overall it's a great culinare experience. Also the service was good and the waiters were friendly.

Definitely one of the top restaurants around. We had the burata and tuna tartar for starters, it didn't really resemble burata as we know it, the cheese had a creamy texture almost cream cheese like and not stretchy is we expected, as shown in the pictures it was very big and good as a shared starter for a large group, not really reasonable for a couple. The tuna was ok nothing special to say about it. We also had the risotto which was awesome, I really recommend it if you like your risotto well done since it's wasn't really al dente. The Frito misto also was pretty good in a very large portion , they serve sweet potato and zucchini shavings instead of wedges. To sum it up it's a decent Italian restaurant and will be a great alternative if you can't have any more Romanian food.

The food was delicious, we had the carbonara and the frito misto and for dessert, tiramisu and the hot brownie (amaazing). The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The thing I did not like at all was them not asking for the green pass and not requiring a mask for people coming in. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. It’s a shame.

This place worth to wait in the line for, but recommend to have a reservation! Taste of Italy from pro cooks in Romania.

Excelent italian food, good wine and cozy place! It's almost mandatory to make a reservation with 1-2 days before, because the seats are limited and the place is top rated! I recommend the tuna tartar.

Very good Italian place. We’ve had the Bruschetta Classica, Risotto and the Caserecce al Pesto Genovese. The risotto was very good, the highlight of our meal. It’s a bit hard to get a table, so make a reservation a few days in advance, especially for dinner.

Good food, chilled atmosphere, polite staff. The parmigiana is a revisited Romanian version, very good. It needs reservation in advance!

Superb place located in the old city center, with a nice Italian tradition selection of dishes and wines. Serving is ten out of ten, with much attention given to detail and making you feel welcome. Would definitely recommend to visit!

Delicious food every time we ate here. The place is really cozy and has a family business type of vibe. For the quality of the food, the prices are more than decent. We also got a shot of limoncello on the house 😇

We really enjoy Dei Frati. This was the second year coming here and we will for sure come back next years as well. The staff is always kind and respectful, and I don’t remember another place in Romania where the staff asks you how’s your day going. Was initially turned away when i reached at 9pm. Server advised to retry at 930pm which i did and managed to get a table. Read online that the truffle pasta was to die for and it really was the best taste i ever had although there is no meat or anything else but it is a must try!

Almost genuine Italian food with very good service in the middle of old town in Brasov! Eggplant salad is fantastic as well as the ravioli with Gorgonzola and pears! Definitely recommend for a lovely dinner!

Dei Frati, it's not located on a main street, so if you want some privacy you can come here, but call for a reservation before, they were full when we arrived, ✌️. We had a great time, nice waitress, everything it's very Italian ✨ I liked the pastas, i had the Tagliatelle with spinach and shrimps, my friends enjoyed their pastas so much, they order a second round. They have a good pălincă (romanian alcohol drink - like a shot but tastier). As a dessert i had canoli. First time i ate canoli so i can't compare, but i like it. ❤️✨

Would give more stars if possible, from the minute we arrived the service was incredible, we were about 10 minutes early for our booking and received a glass of prosecco while we waited outside. We ordered our mains and as waited we were given some bruschetta on the house as an appetiser. We had the Steak salad and the mushroom risotto and both were cooked fresh, full of flavour and tasted amazing. We finished off with the Profiteroles which again where all homemade and just topped of a wonderful evening of food. Would 100% recommend if visiting the city of Brasov, but just make sure you ring ahead on book a table as it is not a huge restaurant.

It was my first time at Dei Frati - very good and fast service, welcoming & friendly staff & great food. I have enjoyed my time here a lot & specifically the affogato - it was delicious! I will definitely return to this place when in Brașov.

My favourite place to eat in Brasov. Fresh pasta, qualitative ingredients, everything is always perfect. Also, even though it is not in the menu, they will make you pasta carbonara if you ask for it ❤️

This place is centrally located and a 2 min walk from the square. It’s tucked away with a little foot traffic to keep you entertained but not so busy that it’s overwhelming. The food is amazing. My kids are picky and they gobbled everything up. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Romania. The service was also fantastic. Our server was very kind and responsive. Be sure to make a reservation because this place was reservation only while we were there.

Authentic Italian restaurant with traditional food. They have a variety of delicious pasta and the indoor smell is divine - it really increases your appetite. When you ask for the bill, they will also offer you a shot of limoncello on the house. The place is usually very busy and it doesn't have a lot of tables, so I recommend making a reservation.
