Beautiful. Brasov is one of the best cities I have been in the beautiful Romania. This place is huge, lovely to walk, enjoy the day, take photos. The restaurants around here are double the price than in the rest of the town of course:)

Central landmark of the Brașov old city. A lot of shops, cafes and restaurants are present all around the square. A nice place to see and spend some time in. During Christmas there is a market organized here. Also the main city Christmas tree is found here.

(Translated by Google) It is an imposing, very beautiful, well-maintained location, located in the old center of "Brașov", and can be one of the attractions of the city from "Poalele Tâmpei". I visited this location last summer in July, during the holiday spent in "Brașov" and it made a very good impression on me, from the point of view of appearance, but I did not enter the premises, therefore, I can't talk about the interior as well as other administrative, organizational, political or other details. At the conclusion of these lines, I recommend to all tourists who will spend their vacation in this beautiful city, to visit the "Brașov City Hall"!

Such a wonderful place to spend some time, watching the architecture of the buildings and resting for a while to continue visiting the city. There are several bars and restaurants to have a lunch.

Brasov center, I have been over the weekend there and in the events period, so I found stage with performers of live jazz music and different stands with books, arts, or different handwork things to buy. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, sweets shops in the center and arround streets, you can find pharmacy and coffee shops or anything you need easily.

Tourist attraction, many coffeeshops and restaurants, nice historic views and a great place for a walk and icecream when the weather is right... food is on the expensive side however you pay for the location.. gets busy on public holidays and weekends... noise pollution from loud bikes and cars is crazy here.

The brasov city will remind you of florence arenas.. coffee shops and small kioks in the middle of street, happy people roaming around the big Christmas tree. The energy and the vibes there are another level!!even though it tooks us 8 hours from our place to reachh this beautiful city but it was really worth it..

A charming square in the center of the old town has temporarily become an exhibition ground for the "Made in Moldova" event. The center of the exhibition was the stand of the carpet factory from Ungheni, with a huge monument to Stefan the Great and soft inscriptions that embody the friendship between the two cities of Chisinau and Brasov.

  • 5/5 ornashuman1 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful and interesting. We recommend the walking tours leaving from the center of the square.

The entire town of Brasov is like walking in a drawing... The city hall is the main town center biggest building. The entire area is renovated and in some cases it is still in renovation... 0

Worth visiting this beautiful square. Behind the scene is a huge mountain. Autumn it looks beautiful and winter majestic.

  • 4/5 Viktor D. 6 months ago on Google
Nice place. It's pretty spacious and very clean. Many food options available and some historical landmarks are right there as well. Keep in mind tho that it can get hot since there is basically no shadow on the square, and Brasov is a small town, so don't expect too much entertainment there.

  • 5/5 Maria R. 9 months ago on Google
Brasov is one of the cuttiest cities I have been in Romania. This central square is quite big and nice, lovely to walk, enjoy the day, take photos. The restaurants around here are double the price than in the rest of the town, I wasn't very satisfied with the food, but it was ok. There is Starbucks coffee on the main square, as well as ice creams shops and etc.

Typical European Town Square. Very clean and colorful. Nice shops and restaurants. You could just chill and eat good food and go for coffee or dessert. Definitely recommend for an afternoon when in Brasov.

The main square in Brasov surrounded by shops, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and markets on certain days from what I have been told. we had an hr here as part of a tour to transylvania and it was a nice time to have a quick look around.

It is the main touristic square at the lovely Barsov city. There are many varieties of restaurants for local and universal food. The Iconic black church plus other small churches. You can visit the church's then enjoy you lunch and ice cream Not far , there is the cable care station which drive you to mountain top. You will enjoy visiting this square.

Great Square, outstanding and spacious area. Beautiful area too. Just crowded most of the time but surely cant complain that this is one of the busiest areas in Brasov. Fine restaurants nearby, haven’t tried many. I would consider you go somewhere else if you would like to go to a café or restaurant but its your peoples’ choices. Its definitely crowded on the weekends.

Very pretty town Square in Brasov. Cobble stone streets and many cafes and restaurants to find a bite or a pint. Nearby is the black church and a gondola lift up the mountain

Beautiful square with lovely views of the Black church and cable car and mountains. Lots of places to eat while you're enjoying the view.

First viewing of the Council Square is one has never been in Bran opens yours eyes to how unique it is . Great views all round up to the Cable Car the Brasov sign on the hill. The Black Church is next door and worth a visit. Very Germanic or Hungarian but the architectural gems abound if one looks at the unique buildings that abound in every direction.

It is truly one of the most beautiful plazzas I have ever seen! Reminds me of other Saxon-style squares in other cities like Krakow and I must say, I may have even enjoyed it some more (looked more tidied). I also recommend exploring all the little or main streets leading to and away (to the old town gates) and take in the entirety of the old city - it really is an extraordinary old town. Great view of the magnificent mountain (looks like it is ready to slide into or even swallow the square).

Definetely one of the most beautiful towns in Romania. Brasov used to be a town occupied by German colonies in the past and it preserves the architectural style with old beutiful buildings, big squares full of pigeons. I was absolutely delighted by the place, i arrived there on an early morning so it was really quiet, just a few people getting ready for work, when I came back it was crowded of tourist, i couldn't believe it was the same place as in the morning.

The Council Square is located in the historic centre of Brașov, Romania. It obtained its right to hold markets in 1520, but it has been the place for weekly and annual markets since 1364, being visited by merchants from the country and abroad.
