I'm just gonna write something useful for anyone who wants to take a trip: - road is easy but very crowded during weekends at any hour so get used to staying in traffic, recommend a motorcycle. DN1 is usually full in different parts of the road. - if you decide on weekend trip make sure you're there at the first hour of opening, there are a LOT of people who go there so you'll be spending from 30 - 60 minutes just to wait for a person who is afraid of heights to climb the stairs. A long line will form. - DO NOT drink the water that's flowing before the climb, people stomp on the river from above, throw cigarettes and other garbage in it, recommend drinking the one after you climb, refreshing and safe to drink. - watch your step and do not rush, there are no safety features and if you slip and fall because of the wet ladder, well, it's your fault not theirs. Road back is HELL so my recommendation is go with a motorcycle OR go during the week, NOT the weekend. - get BOOTS not snickers because you WILL have to cross the river a few times and there are only a few rocks or logs on which you will have to practice your balancing skills. - It's an easy climb filled with fresh air, takes you about 45 - 50 minutes to get to the stairs, then about 30 - 40 minutes to go around the mountain and climb down, then another 20 - 30 minutes to get back to your car, if you want the shortest trip. - Do NOT try to park as close as you can to beginning of the climb after 10 AM. You won't have any place to do so. Hope this will help you, keep safe and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Amazing track, green and flowing water. Climbing the ladders inside the canion. The walk takes several hours. Should take water and food. You can return part of the way in omegas.

A beautiful place to visit, impressive. You are literally walking through the canyon. There are rails and stairs, you are passing almost through waterfalls. I have only rated it 4 stars due to limited safety features. Some stairs are quite a climb, so for kids or older persons might be risky. A must-visit place only about 2 hours from Bucharest and only 15 minutes from Brasov. PS: if you want to increase the adrenalin and have fun, you can descend from the canyon with the zip line, for about 4 km (~35 zip lines).

Amazing hike in the forest that goes through a gorge in the limestone mountains. The water is cold and keeps you cool during the walk. The trees give shade and make the walk pleasant. My wife and I went with our 11 and 8 year old children. They all enjoyed the hike

Amazing views throughout the canyon! You have to pay 20 lei to get to there, but it pays off. Good shoes and some coordination would be great to take into this trip.

Review for mid August 2022: - cash payment only! - no selling of any beverages / sweeth or anything to eat. Bring your own food supplies and plenty of water! ! - no online tickets, no prior reservations. Access is first com first served! - beware: some waiting time before entrance is possible mainly during weekends and public holidays (Saturday 13:00 - waiting time was 90+ minutes). Good part is that waiting occurs in a shaded trail (no benches & few spots to rest on the ground) - you can rent gear to go on several zip lines descent (mainly 14+ years). Children zip lines are also available: close to the barrier on your left (follow signage) and another location with 4 zip lines at the middle of the hiking trail towards the canyon. The latter cannot be missed as you pass through it. If you struggled arriving at the tickets booth, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT climb the canyon. Afterwards the 7 Ladders Canyon climb, return towards "civilization" and tickets booth will require you to take an alternate marked path & involve some hill climbing and this will be the most intense part of your journey. A 4 year & 6 year old old have done it several times, just beware on your fit level. Afterwards the 7 Ladders Canyon climb you require approx 2h of walking before reaching the barrier/car parking! Staff is friendly, English speaking. Entrance for hiking trail inside the canyon is rather cheap :10 lei / adult (~2€), 5 lei / child. For children 4+ & under 8 years you can rent helmet & climbing harness so you can secure the child to the accompanying adult.! (an additional 5 lei), but you have to request it while purchasing tickets. Opposed to selling tickets booth there are some benches / tables where you can have a quick meal. There are trash cans. Be proactive & bring 1/2 garbage bags to gather your waste (including cigarette buds) and not "spoil" the environment as "savages" do! There is a large waste collection container just before the barrier dividing the parking are where you can drop off your wastes collected. As a bonus: if you read until here, do hit 👍

Great walk. Admission 20 lei adults and 10 lei student. Can only be paid in cash. Think twice about taking small children, it's a bit dangerous in some parts. Choose proper shoes.

The place was great, we had a lot of fun here, we enjoyed the ladders, scenery also the waterfalls. We did some tracking also. The last we enjoyed how to got down from there with flying fox! Was a great experience for me! The instructor explained well but have some part he didn't told us how to control, how to landing, so I did well until 3 stops. In time, I learned by myself how to controlled the speed and landing. One more, it would be better if they can put toilet in the entrance. For the whole experience, I could say, it was super good! Love the nature air!

The nature is beautiful, the paths are good to walk and actually it would be a dream place. But... 1. There is garbage everywhere, although there is a container for garbage at the beginning of the path. You can watch people throwing garbage everywhere, even if you were standing next to them. Partly you have to watch out that you don't get hit. (I have only taken a few sample pictures… The tree trunks are not trash cans, they just have a little cut out to make it look nice... usually.) 2. You have to pay money to see a piece of nature. I have only experienced this in Montenegro. Unfortunately, something that belongs to no one and should be accessible to everyone is commercialized.

The trail to the canyon is very easy. But when you arrive to the ladders, you have to wait a bit because it's crowded.

It's not something you see or experience every day, that's for sure. The tour begins with a walk through the forest, it's an easy walk, fitted for everyone, from young kids to elderly grandparents. The next part is not, you have to climb the seven ladders through the rocky canyon and they are narrow, made of steel and wet from the waterfalls, making this being the most exciting part of the trip. Even through it is not an experience for everyone, it is one worth having.

If you love mountains but you're still in doubt about this place... just go and enjoy nature, it's worth it. After a walk through the woods you get to the starting point and then up through the canion, a spectacular and unique place. To go back down you can use the zipline, an adventure in itself, or take the path through the woods. It's not so easy to get there if you don't have a car, though.

The best hike we’ve ever done. It was longish, tiring, but totally worth it! Take sandwiches with you, water and hiking shoes. Totally recommend.

Nice, easy hike, cost free up to ladders, to climb on ladders - 20 lei per adult and 10 per child. 9 y.o. fit child was ok to climb. After you climbed, you have 2 options: to come back(i)or to go to Piatra Mare(ii) (1.5 hours more). After you come back (i) you have 2 options: to get down by feet (i.a)or use zip line(i.b): 120 lei per adult (for adults only from that spot). Zip line for kids located at the begining of the hike route.

Wonderful gorge. Very crowded in weekends, please arrive as soon as they open (10 am) in order to not wait. At 11 am, when we were climbing down, the waiting time was 1 hour.

A very beautiful park. Pleasant to walk among the trees. And descend in omegas all the way down. Too bad the signage in the place is not clear.

A beautiful site at Bucegi National Park, there's a lot of people sometimes, but it is still worth it. Beautiful rivers flow through the site, with metal ladders pulling you up above the waterfalls.

Beautiful canyon with ladders. Better to come early (around 1-1.5h walk till the tickets office) before all the crowds create a long waiting line. After the canyon, I strongly recommend to continue for a bit longer loop for some nice forest views without people at all.

Gorgeous place, took barely 30 minutes by bus from Brasov's Livada Postei (bus no. 17, then switch to 17b at the Metro stop and disembark at Dambul Morii). I went on a sunny day in the beginning of October, the temperature was pleasant enough to spend most of the day in short sleeves. The canyon itself is a few degrees chillier, but a hoodie or light jacket should do the trick. The hike to the canyon is very scenic and not too demanding (recommend taking the paths through the trees rather then by the stream, more fun). The ladders were fun, not terribly tall or even slippery, but do wear proper shoes. There were plenty of visitors as it was the weekend, but the place was by no means crowded - everyone had heaps of time to enjoy the canyon and take pictures. Definitely don't miss on riding the zipline down, it's extremely long and well worth the 100 lei. 10/10, would definitely visit again and again.

Great easy hike up to the canyon, can be done in trainers, but much better with basic hiking shoes. Weekends and public holidays are very busy, see pictures. After you enter the canyon it takes around 50minutes to return to the starting point.

Awesome hiking routes and stunning views! Easy access to top of the mountain and multiple ways to get to the top it's also suitable for elders but it would be complicated to make this journey with any kind of pets through the canyon but it is accessible with pets on other routs.

Nice place to get out of the city, unfortunately there were a few spots on the pathway where it was very slippery (it rained recently) but still not ok considering the ticket price went up compared to previous years. Love the zip line on the way back.

Lovely walk up to the 7 ladder gorge but when I got to the entrance it was closed due to danger, so very disappointing. Walked another 39 mins past the gorge to a nice view point higher up.

Hello! I would like to start this review by saying that me and my mother really liked this hiking trail. We started it around 2.00 pm(14.00) and ended it around 5.30 pm(17.30). It is true that we stood in line for 20- 30 minutes, but the place was croaded. I do recommend to have appropriate equipment (comfortable clothes, a good pair of hiking shoes). You should bring your own food and water, we have not seen any places where you could buy these necessities. Overall, we did like everything and would recommend to anyone to do this trip at least once it their lifetime.

Wonderful canyon. Almost like a scene from Avatar. It's a nice walk through the forrest to get there (45 min.) But it is well worth it. Stay away, if you're scared of heights 😃

We had awesome time here. You can easily spend here 5 hours. One would think that going down will be faster with zip lines, but it might be the same time if not longer, 1 something hour zipping is a good experience. Recommend to all!

A nice hike with a beautiful canyon. Would recommend going for the longer trails and not just the 7 ladders in the canyon

It's a really nice and cheap place to hike. You have to walk one hour to access the place, the path is sometimes tricky. One there, you Can Enjoy the beautiful canyons and the incredible landscapes. It's gonna take you 15 minute to cross the place and then you Can Come back by the forest ( be careful it Can be slippery) or continue with a bigger hike.

The path to the canyon is easy and accessible for everyone, when you get at the cabin there is the starting point, and you have to buy tickets to enter. Ticket price is 10 lei. only when you get to canyon entry form there you have to climb multiple iron stairs and you come back at the main path on the other side of the mountain. Total time to do the short version of the canyon is around 3hours from the parking.

After walking 3 km=1 h and 30 min approximately, we would’ve have to wait another 30 minutes to buy the tickets, another 90 minutes to go on the trip and the trip would’ve last 60 minutes. 2 stars only for the view, getting up there was really nice.
