If you are visiting Brasov, you definitely have to go to Tampa! The view from the top is beautiful and you can walk up until the huge letters on top of the hill. We went while there was snow everywhere, which was beautiful but I'm sure in summer, instead of taking the cable car, you could even hike :)

An interesting ascent can be made both by lift and on foot. Here you can enjoy the beautiful views and stay closer to nature right in the city center. There are always a lot of tourists here)

Beautiful place, we had a bit of snow, the kids were happy. Use the cable to get there, the price is low, totally worth it.

I can say confidently : Brasov is a pearl of Romania. Visiting Brasov, come here for 4-6days. No less. And, Tampa is one of the greatest place to enjoy the city from one of the highest tops. You 'l enjoy veiws while going up in a wagon first. The forest paths, forest air, and breathtaking views from the top. The great city the hills, and an " ocean" of sun and air You can enjoy small lunch in one of the cafes here. Coffee and dessert are avaliable. A great place. To enjoy not for one day.

A bit long wait to go up, but it was worth it. We took the yellow path down and completed it in an hour with the kids. Great nature experience

Beautiful views and an amazing sunset we took the cable car up and walked down, the cable car was a great idea and saved allot of walking but the descent was fun and beautiful although slightly hazardous, was so tranquil, have been recommended by a local friend to watch the fireworks on new years eve from there which I fully intend to come back and do.

Awesome view, perfect for a little break. The "hike" is pretty easy but if it rained or snowd before, you need special boots for getting there because it might be slippery.

It's great for all ages. You can take the cable car all the way to the top (about 3 euros one way or 5 both ways) and then it's a 10min walk to "Belvedere" where the view is amazing. You can see Brasov from above and then, either take a walk back to the bottom (also with a choice between stairs or road) or take the cable car back.

Reinterpreted Romanian cuisine. Tasty and appealing. Good vine. Fast and nice service. Beautiful views. We recommend the beef tongue and tail also the mushrooms cream soup. Close to Tampa telecabine (closed for revision on Mondays). Will come again for sure.

I liked the view from up there. However, the competent authorities should be more involved in arranging a nice sundeck sitting area and having a large view over the city. Also, the belvedere platform should be improved (enlarged, and good quality materials). The prices for telecabin are a little bit higher for the offer (not to mention that on the site are written prices from last summer, and when you get to the ticket office to pay you discover they're higher). We were going down by foot through a curve trail , Which I recommend, being a light effort , and avoid staying in line again 45 min to take the cabin down .

The best place to see the old town. But please don't confuse the nature reserve with the lousy restaurant/bar at the top or with the poorly managed cable car. The mountain in itself is beautiful with a lot a hiking or walking trails and stunning views. Even though it can be busy in the most touristy places you will find peace and quiet if you can be bothered to walk a few extra steps.

Perfect view, nice to hear the concerts from old town without sitting nearby. Good for a walk

Beautiful and easy hike in the middle of the city! ...to bad that the tourists don't take back with them their garbage, even if there are sign that asks them that nicely.

It was a beautiful place and a nice view with snow. Liked it very much

Well, the hill is nice, but has several cons: - you have to climb half way up to take a cabin >_< - the cabin way is short and too fast to enjoy the view - the cabin is pretty old - the cabin costs too much for a couple of minutes of the way - there are only two cabins, and they stop together to let people exit over of them. It's very likely you'll be suddenly stopped in the cabin right in the air, and it will swing strongly o_O - you should mind the weather as in the fog you won't see anything, and it will be sloppy up the hill - the hill slope doesn't have handrails, be careful

If you like running, run it! Hell of a challenge. Great views at the top. Lovely walks abound for the family. Plenty at the bottom to keep us all entertained and fed.

We hiked up Tampa with our 3 kids and took us exactly 122 minutes. We took a few breaks going up. Took lots of pictures of the city from above and took the tram back down. Great place to hike and sight see.

We climbed the mountain with the a cable car. There were a lot of people, so had to wait in line at the box office and on the rise. From the mountain is amaizing view of the city, so I recommend climbing up and enjoying the view

Tampa Hill is located above the town of Brasov and offers a magnificent view of the entire town and its surroundings. You can climb it on foot or take the cable car up or down. The cable car ride is very fast, it takes about two minutes. But be prepared, there might be a long queue of people waiting for the cable car ride.

Great experience ! Recommend to see the old city view from behind Brașov sign. It's a 45-50 min walk up the hill, or 5 minutes by cable cart. Check the cable cart times before . Enjoy the view !

Awesome view, best to go in summer. We went at the beginning of December, it was cold and windy. But worth it ☺️

The view is fantastic. What I do not understand is why they do not maintain better the area and take care of it. I do not think that making a pavement and some urban implements would do harm if is done wisely..It is very risky to walk until the sign of Brasov if you are not careful enough..the rocks are very slippery..

Stunning view! Worth walking down to the city instead if taking the cabled car. The path with flowers and butterflies is not a very hard route, even for those with little to no physical training at all. There are also benches and resting places along the way, as well as information panels. The walk down usually takes between 1.5-3 hours.

Visited at the beginning of March. The snow was fresh and it looked pretty, but it was incredibly slippery. I saw many people falling and one lady hurt her arm or wrist. Safety measures should be taken during winter time.

Easy hike to a wonderful view of Brasov! Three different paths, leading in the same place. Makes waiting for the cable car totally useless. The hike is nice and safe even when it s raining.

The view is great, mind you, but they’re really not doing a great job of making things feel safe up there. The snow and ice on the pathways hadn’t been removed at all. It was very slippery. You may think that that isn’t all too bad, but consider the following: there are no rails or anything. If you trip and fall…you will fall for some time. Pretty much everyone stayed around the cable car area, not daring to venture too far, lest they got down the mountain faster than intended.

nice walk up from Brasov to the top of the mountain, great view of the city and you can continue on further if you wish. Cable car was not open when we got there but the walk only took around 1hour.

A bit more crowded than usual and a lot of mud and slippery surfaces. Do not recommend for older folks or without hiking boots that you don't mind getting them dirty. Neither the trail or even the top when you reach by cable cab is lacking stairs, gravel or pavement in order to not slip or get heavily dirty with mud.

Extremely picturesque. Unique setting for an old German burg. Brașov, the actual city is beautiful. In addition, a fancy restaurant ' Sub Tâmpa' is highly recommended.

Given the fact there was quite a large queue for the cable car, we opted to hike up and back. The hike starts a few minutes walk away from the cable car, either side. Well worth doing the hike, steep in places but not too difficult. I would allow an hour going the direct route. We took a longer route around the back and took approximately 90mins. Amazing views of the city and would highly recommend making it up no matter what way you decide.

We were there on Sunday, probably that's why line was more then 30 minutes. I was wondered that on the top they don't have place for observation and photo, you should go to other place near the sign BRASOV. I like to walk, but still it's strange )) Anyway if you are in Brasov, you need to visit this place, because on the top you can see a gorgeous view of the city

The experience was really nice and the view is stunning. I do not recommend visiting it when it's raining.

Beautiful nature area right next to Brașov old city center. You can climb the small mountain on foot or by cable car. The walk is very nice and refreshing but be careful you have proper shoes. You can see beautiful views of Brașov and the surroundings from the trail and from the summit. Some remains of the old citadel of Brassovia can be seen at the top as well.
