Amazing place that holds parts of history about Brașov's city civilization. Like any other museum you get a glimpse from the town's history but what makes this place different are the people within it. They are passionate about history, and they love to share their knowledge and give you a new view over history. Besides that, they organise different themed events, that connects history with local cuisine and drinks. Definitely worth a visit!

This is one of the newer museums in the city and the concept and curation are exemplary, on a par with similar museums from places such as Krakow or Prague. However, this being Romania there are things where they fall short. First of all, there is a ridiculous photo surcharge that is not worth paying for what you get to experience overall. Second, the descriptions of the items and the rooms are mixed and at points lacking. Third, the audio guide tedious and at times inaccurate. It's a pity that they seem to be more interested in milking money than offering a pleasant and informative museum experience. That being said and while the museum is small it still remains probably the best in Brasov.

Worth experiencing especially the doll exhibition at the top floor, beautiful unique handmade dolls with extraordinary expressions, unlike the ones today with mass production, but also the the daily life in the previous centuries, the clothing, fashion, household, sewing items.

Some nice objects from various periods but lacking information. A small card for each object providing the date and the purpose would already make it much better. Some additional context would be ideal.

A wonderful museum that introduces the culture of Romania and tells about the city of Brasov. I really liked this place. We also managed to buy very nice souvenirs. A great memory of the trip.

We didn’t plan to visit this museum. We pass by and enter. The museum proved to be a treasure ❤️. Staff very friendly and polite. A lot of interesting things to see. My son didn’t get bored. We could to a lot of pictures. Tickets price are cheep. Recommend!

A large collection of trading goods from the 18th and 19th century, plus representations of various small industries of the time. The info is too little to get the whole story of local urban civilization, so the museum offers only a glimpse of it. It doesn't offer enough to get an idea of a lifestyle in that time. But the pices are extremely well preserved and the then/now video is impressive.

The exhibits are very well preserved, the chambers are professionally restored and they really give an insight into the past. To make everything better, the design and the way the objects are placed and presented is really modern.

The city of Brașov offers us a rich history and culture with museums full of mystery. I prefer to visit again.
