Beautifur virgin forest. We came in the end of october and farest was changing leaves. I never saw more beautiful colors than here - mesmerizing. We drove from Sibiu to Bran castle and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of hill after hill. Fall is a great time to visit.

For sure this is the most beautiful mountain in Romania! The steepest and with highest difficulty to climb, but rewarding every effort! We did the La Zaplaz route to La Om refuge, then the Northern ridge and go down through amazingly beautiful steep path. Be sure to bring water, becouse there is only sources in the refion - at rhe beginning of the route in the beech forest.

For me, as tourguide is the most beatiful and most spectacular Mountain rainge, near Brasov, 🇷🇴 Romania. The place - Plaiul Foii - close to the city Zarnesti is very popular for tourists all ages. I recomand this place to visit at least once in a lifetime.

A must do when visiting Brasov. Even if you don’t have a car, you can take a train from Brasov to Zarnesti (less than €1.5 each way). From there you can either walk for 1h or take taxi to Fantana Lui Botorog which is the start point to many hikes. The hike I did was from Fantana Lui Botorog to Cabana Curmatura, then to VF Turnu, walk along the ridge to VF Padina Inchisa, then back to Curmatura and then from there hike the track to Fantana via prapastiile zarnestiului. The whole hike was 17km, elevation gain 1,285 and took around 8 hours including photo stops, rests and and lunch break. The loop to the ridge and back was definitely challenging, requires proper hiking boots and recommended for experienced hikers only and there are some rock scrambles and climbing involved. But the views from the top definitely worth the challenge!!

Amazing! Poor words to describe this place! It's wonderful! On the way to La Om peak we found wild strawberries and raspberries, delicious! Unfortunately the rain stopped us from getting to the top, but definitely we will come back!

Peaceful place, close to Zarnesti and Brasov. Perfect getaway from the everyday rush and stress. Beautiful meadows, forests, hiking trails. Definitely take your camera with you, besides good walking boots and walking sticks, a sandwich, a fruit and a bottle of water.

Piatra Craiului National Park is one of the most interesting tourist destinations in Romania. Its many trails traverse small mountain villages from spacious valleys to a spectacular 25 km limestone ridge lined with spruce forests and glacial lakes. Wolves, bears, deer, eagle owls and 17 species of bats live in these cloud-covered forests and rocks.

Wonderful place near 7 Crai. We stayed in a tent for 2 nights near the Plaiul Foii chalet. The place is full of hikers, bikers and tourists just enjoying the views of Piatra Craiului. I strongly recommend this place for bikers and mostly for hikers that are looking to explore the northern side of Piatra Craiului mountains. Surroundings: Zarnesti, Curmatura chalet, villages Magura, Pestera, Sirnea.

Amazing place, great for hiking. We were here with kids, and even though they whined the whole way, they liked the trails and beautiful vistas.

See nature in it's best. Beautiful creek, walls of rock crowned by trees, whispering water stream. The stream comes from mountains, so the water is really clear and cold. We paid 10 Lei for the entrance with a car, parked close to route start. The guy - responsible for charging looks like a random traveler in old Toyota Auris, no gate or anything, but You receive tickets from him. Enjoy!

Probably the most spectacular region to go hiking in Romania. The routes are also quite tough.
