The bedsheets and pillow sheets were dirty and smelly. I had to go down and ask for others, and even then I got a bedsheet that was ripped apart. They left the toilet paper from the previous guests, even if there was barely any left. Shower was not working properly. But really, the bedsheets are hotel 101 stuff. This is unacceptable. There are people who have various types of allergies or specific health situations, you cannot just ignore the expectation of cleanliness. Two stars instead of one for the staff which was OK. Later edit: the staff at the reception was nice and helpful. However, one of them argued with us over this review, instead of calmly apologizing.

We had a good time here at Ambient Residence. The room was big and clean. Not that far from the city center, a 15 minutes walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

The toilet was flooded for 2 days and nobody did anything. Not only I asked them to fix it several times, but they also fail to provide toilet paper. They don't have anyone at the checkin counter, so I had to call several times asking them to do something about it. They always apologised and said that they would do something about it, but nothing happened. The worse hotel we stayed in Romania quite far and very upset with the service. Extremely disappointed with this place, I don't recommend it.

To start with the good part, the place is clean, warm, and the location is great, 10 minutes walk from the city center. The breakfast is ok and the food is fresh. The hotel is ok, but not as advertised. These are not apartments, but cabin-like rooms. If you booked an apartment via Booking.com, get ready for a big disappointment: - the presentations pictures are missleading, the apartments are in fact very small and cramped. You barely have space to walk from the bed to the bathroom - we had 1 small, round table with 1 tiny chair (in a 4-people apartment!).. we'd have to take turns :)) and this was a "good" room.. there are rooms with no table/chair at all - you pay in advance when arriving, before even seeing the room - if you arrive after 8PM you have to check-in at another place (5min walk) - the breakfast is also at this other place - the parking is not included - there is public parking, and you need to pay "zone 1" tax (16 lei for 24 hours) Our original apartment (that we refused, and requested a room-change) was 1 room split in the middle by a termopane wall, thus making two cramped rooms for 2 people each. Across one room there was a small bathroom. The carpet was dirty and severely worn-out. There was no wardrobe, no table.. Besides, is was on the bottom floor. You could hear everyone passing by outside.. and to be honest it felt a bit unsafe. The apartment we got next, was better. Still incredibly small, with one double-bed downstairs and another up, accessible from an inside stair. But the bathroom was decent, we had a wardrobe, and the overall look&feel of the apartment was nice&cozy. It's a pity they advertise this place as something it's not (family apartments).

Amazing stay. Loved the venue and self catering. In great proximity to banks, restaurants and friendly staff.

Big rooms. Very well located (10 minutes walk from downtown and 7minutes from AFI's mall) Staff at the reception is so nice and offers a courteous service. The only problem was with the location of shower because is misplaced and water goes out bath.

They have rooms for 2 persons with separate beds - one of the few hotels with such accommodation options. Clean and quiet. Bathrooms are very small. Breakfast is served in a nearby location, but you have an equipped kitchen in this location, which you can use. Very friendly staff.

The rooms are quite large and the beds are comfy. The address is about 15 minutes walk away from Piața Sfatului, the city centre. Nice experience.

No toilet paper, clogged bathtub, weird smell in rooms, had to ask for shampoo, in some rooms we're 2 1 person bed made in one big bed. Otherwise it's pretty nice and close to the city centre.

Customer service is bad 1/5. - We were supposed to have the check-in at 2, but were delayed by 2 hours because the 'previous guests hadn't left yet'. - We asked for 3 rooms with kingsize beds, but the ones we received had 2 single beds. - On our last day, we left them room at 12:30, instead of them, and were passive aggresively told that they should've charged us for another day. On the other hand, rooms were clean, fairly cheap and close to the old town center. All in all, I won't be staying here anytime soon until the customer service level is improved significantly.

Staf is the best part of this hotel...guys that works in Residence are so nice ...rooms are clean and cousy...on second floor is small kitchen and there is free coffe and tea... It is steange that for breakfast we have to go in the other hotel,we have to walk 5 min,when is ranining it is not easy....also it shod be heating...outside is 5 decrase so...

I stayed at Ambient Residence for one entire weekend and I enjoyed my special room. The building is very nice, painted in a warm color, with adorable old-fashioned furniture, beautiful paintings, so many pretty details that made me feel like home. Everything is very cleaned and disinfected. The staff is so friendly. Also the breakfast was very good, served in a lovely breakfast lounge with this beautiful city view. Such a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it!
