The hotel was perfectly located 10’ walk from the old town, providing free parking. The rooms were big, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was good, at the attic of the building providing view of the city. However there was an issue that is keeping us from giving better review. We booked the room from the hotel website, and we received an offer and confirmation in EUR. However when we paid at check out we were charged at RON. But the EUR/RON ratio used by the hotel for the conversion resulted in a final amount more than 6eur/night (6%) additional charge than what we had agreed. I understand that in Romania all payments must be made at RON, but in this case all pricelists, offers and agreements should be made only in RON. It is MISLEADING to provide prices in EUR and the final charged amount to be so much higher.

We stayed at Belfort Hotel for one night and snatched a parking spot right in front of the hotel, which was pretty convenient. The front desk agent was pretty clinical and seemed kind of annoyed by customers. He told us that we got an upgrade to the 5th floor with a nice balcony...and that the elevator wasn't functioning since the day before and won't be repaired until two days later. Wow. But okay, we are young and fit so we can cope with that. We had to fill out lots of documents (that wasn't necessary at the other hotels we stayed at) and got our room key. He didn't offer to help us (!) with our luggage to the 5th floor due to the broken elevator. The room was very small with a very small bathroom and a nice balcony. With a view to the building next to ours. I guess this room had the worst view of all rooms on that floor level. We couldn't use the balcony anyway due to the heavy rain. I tried to reduce the temperature in the room by adjusting the A/C. The room didn't cool down so I went down to ask about it. He told me that I have to adjust the A/C. Oh really? After some discussion, he admitted that the A/C can just heat up but can't cool down and that I should open the window instead. Yeah, I like sleeping with street noise. When we headed towards the old town, he offered umbrellas. I tried all three of the umbrellas and all were totally defective. He watched me fighting with the umbrellas but didn't offer help or a functioning one. Later we tried to get a shower but one door of the shower didn't work properly. The breakfast was good and there was a really nice view above the city from the breakfast room. At checkout, I wasn't asked about our stay and he didn't even come down to the reception for checkout. We wouldn't come back because of the very poor service and so many things didn't work properly at this hotel. The price is pretty high for Romania but the hotel didn't deliver accordingly.

The good thing is that the hotel is nice and clean. Good breakfast at the top floor with great view of the city. And also close to the old city where the restaurants and bars are located. However the service was a bit lacking since we asked for separate beds and got connected beds, which the staff expected us to separate ourselves. I mean they actually gave us bed sheets to replace ourselves on the beds. Also I must note this hotel is not suitable for handicapped guests at all so take note.

Nice hotel, the staffing were great to chat with. Currently there is no working elevator. We had to carry luggage up 5 flights of stairs to reach our room. The hotel offers views of either the city skyline or of the heavily wooded forest. There are a few hills to take into account if you plan on walking into town for anything.

Everything was excellent until I had to change rooms due to availability. Keeping it simple, I was told I would have to move 3 nights in a row, which I didn't have an issue with. However, having packed to move for the first time, I was then told I could keep my room for the next 2 nights. On the day of the 3rd move, I packed again and even though my reservation was for a suite, I was moved to a standard double room (3 classes below) without any mention or apology. When I enquired about this, the receptionist became very defensive and blamed her colleagues. It was explained to me that the suite wasn't available and that this happens in every hotel. When I said I would leave, I was then told I could have the suite (which was actually available). However, I was told in no uncertain terms that I should know that the hotel was doing me a favour. I accepted the suite, but then decided I did not want to pay to spend 4 more nights in a hotel where I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Therefore, out of courtesy rathe than just turning up at reception with my bags packed and walking out, I informed the reception of my intention to leave, but this was met with the angry receptionist who decided to go and seek the manager's permission for me to leave! Aside from the room downgrade, it is not acceptable to be blamed and spoken to in a disrespectful way, especially when I maintained a polite attitude throughout. This episode spoilt the entire stay, but I am rating the review taking into account the otherwise good experience, where the rest of the staff were excellent and my initial room immaculate.

Rooms on the floor 0 are extremely noisy, in fact almost half of the rooms (city view) are facing very busy road and hotel itself just on the road literally. If you are looking for quiet and silent place to sleep just skip this hotel to avoid sleepless night

Great hotel, with a clean nice room, a great view (5th floor), a very good breakfast, free parking in front of the hotel and 10 minutes walk to the old city. After 50 years we traveled again to Romania, the country where we were born and lived more than half of our life

Great place to stay in Brasov. Nice view from your room, but also from the restaurant. Very close to the old city center. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lot of options, and what I appreciated is that there were a lot of healthy options.

Really nice hotel. Suitable also for a family with kids, it’s really close to a popular track “Sub Tâmpa” In winter it could be unpleasant to warm up with the ventilation system, but there is a heater in the bathroom

They say a 3 stars hotel, but I am sure the wind blowed down by mistake the 4th one. I looked outside hotel, I saw Brasov, Romania. I looked inside hotel, I saw any major capital of Europe.

Very friendly staff, rooms are spotless and breakfast is generous and delicious. We were a bit put off by reviews mentioning the steep walk up to the hotel and the stairs to the lift - the walk is actually very easy as are the few stairs. Great hotel for a reasonable price

This is the second time we stayed here. It's a very good hotel, located close to the city center (no more than a 15 minute walk), having also parking available. The room was clean, spacious, also having a balcony overlooking both the city and the forest. Super comfortable bed and pillows, we slept really well. Breakfast was varied, there are many options available. Staff is also friendly. Will definitely choose this hotel again when traveling to Brașov.

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of January 2024. We chose the hotel based on price, reviews and proximity to the old town. We can immediately say that most of our expectations were met in a positive way. Indeed, within walking distance from the center, good interiors and excellent reception staff, they helped and advised us on all the questions that we had. Our room was small, with a view of the Brasov fortress from the balcony. It’s convenient that the electricity in the room doesn’t turn off when you leave with the key card and you can leave your phone charging and go to breakfast, which often doesn’t happen in modern hotels. Also, in addition to completely banal things, the room had a kettle, iron, ironing board and a good hairdryer. Room cleaning is at a high level. Breakfast was on the top floor of the hotel, the views were excellent. There are also disadvantages. Problem with parking spaces; There are places, and there even seem to be a lot of them, somewhere around 15 pieces. But there are not enough of them for all the guests, and it should be noted that the reception staff help you park, which was very nice of them, they tell you how to stand as compactly as possible, and in extreme cases they will tell you where the nearest paid parking is. I would also like to note that the breakfast was a little monotonous, with minimal variety in dishes every day. It tastes good. In general, we liked the hotel. Meets the price/quality criterion. The staff is attentive to hotel guests. We recommend.
