Truly beautiful huge park placed on the northern side of the city, around Lake Herastrau. This is a largest park in Bucharest, a very special place in the heart of this city. There are several very nice restaurants, playgrounds, benches to sit and relax in and its nice to just take a stroll around and enjoy it. You can enjoy taking boat ride or other various activities such as the Hard Rock Cafe and the National Village Museum in its proximity. Especially charming in sunny days. Love it!

Very nice historic parc with unique architecture and some shops for coffee and food overlooking the lake. Very beautiful place suitable for outdoor fitness like walking, cycling, and dog walks.

One of the amazing parks located at Bucharest. It contains lake, where you can hire a boat and enjoy. Multiple small restaurants. Nice sitting area. No tickets are needed. Just go and enjoy 😉

A great place for walks and family holidays. There is a Village Museum - 30 lei per adult. Parking near the Hard Rock Cafe is one euro per hour.

This park was massive. We went around it twice on e-scooters before we found the lake. There is also lots to do. They had row boats and ferries available on the lake. The village museum and a BBQ outside the Beraria H restaurants which was delicious!

We only visited the museum, visiting the littleshop first, but we really enjoyed seeing all the buildings from various parts of the country. Our 2-year old loved looking in the colourful cottages, and running around!

Worth taking a stroll on a sunny and warm day. A boat ride is even better! It’s a shame that it’s not too well cared for. Used to be much nicer like most parks in Bucharest.

Huge park with many places in which you can enjoy a coffee or a beer or eat something. Well maintained and clean still needs some improvements on the marginal alleys which are deteriorated. On the lake side you have the possibility to rent small boats or to have a ride on existing passenger small vessels which are crossing the lake.

In Herăstrău's embrace, at break of day, Where morning light in softest hues does play, A tranquil island haven, nature's art, Where joy and serenity gently impart. Beneath the golden sky, a peaceful stroll, As life's rich tapestry begins to unroll, With runners' rhythms and lovers' tender grace, Each step, a heartbeat in this sacred place. Fishing lines cast, a father and son, Sharing a moment beneath the rising sun, Sailing boats glide, like dreams unfurled, In Herăstrău's embrace, a cherished world. Nature and city, a harmonious blend, Where city's pulse and lake's calm transcend, Dogs in playful dance, their spirits soar, In this island haven, we all adore. The canvas painted with morning's embrace, Herăstrău's beauty, a timeless grace, A symphony of moments, precious and bright, In this haven of dawn's pure light.

The waitress was pretty quick to take the order, but had to wait for the people preparing the order for more than 20 minutes to serve a SINGLE beer.....TWICE. Some other customers left after about 15 minutes after they ordered because they too had to wait a lot.

Probably the largest park from Bucharest. Nice place to go during the week and early in the morning during weekends. Normally it is very crowded during the weekend days. Be careful in the evening, the lights are not working on some areas. There are special areas for dogs, playing grounds for kids, terraces. Do't miss the Japanese garden in the spring when the cherries are blossoming.

Massive green lung in the heart of Bucharest. I loved it here. There’s so many things to do, see and eat. The park is very family oriented and feels safe, there’s cafes and restaurants, monuments and places to play padel or tennis.

This park is incredible. We rented bikes and rode for 3 hours and could not cover the entire place. It has great spaces, many playgrounds, an amusing park for kids, a skate park (mostly for scooters) and sport courts. Of course a lot of space for bikes and to walk. Everything looks well-maintained, except for the ping pong tables, they are in pretty bad conditions. Would love they recovered them and covered them from the sun and rain.

Huge place to walk around. I enjoyed it immensely partly because of the cool November weather! I loved the wooden windmills and the half sunken romanian traditional homes - awesome. The Romanian city guide (although not a staff of the park) spoke in faltering English; quite a challenge to understand what was said. Worth a visit for sure. But would not come in summertime. Love the fat and cute cats there😍

Biggest Park Bucharest (aka Herăstrău), You can walk for literally kilometres and still be in an area of the park. Filled with different attractions, pubs, restaurants, even it's own lake. Perfect place for any group/couple of any age if you want to jog or take a walk and have it be more relaxed and have some space.

A very beautiful park but one who seems to be neglected and I really do not understand the reason. Parts of the park are amazing, some nice alleys, a lot of vegetation well arranged, great trees, a big number of artwork as busts, sculptures, basreliefs... But, as I told you, many of this elements are dirty, full of spiderwebs, some of the basements lose their busts, the fountains or the artisanal wells don't work, the sculptures are full of cracks and so on. Look at the alley with caryatids, look at the Modura fountain for example... Until I will see a new attitude, a new attempt of the administrators, just three stars!

(Translated by Google) This is my favorite park ... I've been getting hotter since I walked in at the entrance to Charles de Gaulle. Cool hard park that makes you remember the story. This park is known as Herăstrău Park by most people in Bucharest. The park is quite large, and winds around Lake Herastrau. PROS Walking through the park is quite peaceful ( Other than on a busy weekend), with lots of beautiful green trees and 🐦Birds galore and many lovely views of the lake. There are many places to buy a snack in the park. There is a bike path for anyone on a scooter or bicycle. A large variety of children's playgrounds, and even a skate park. CONS There are no bathrooms in the park, other than portable toilets. Many of the gorgeous 🌹Rose Gardens are overrun with weeds. There is a large boat that you can take for a tour on the lake, but it is now temporarily closed, according to a sign posted today Overall, I enjoyed my time in this park. With some proper maintenance, the grounds would be stunning.

Beautiful, relaxing , very tidy park. There is a skatepark with a chill spot with a bar and comfortable sofas. You can ride a train 🚂 for 15 min , UT cists 10 Lei/person, there is a few groups of slides and swings, Marygorounds seesaws and gym machines placed here and there throughout the park. Loads if benches to sit and little shops to buy ice cream & a cold drink from. It's easy accessible, the Subway will get You straight to the entrance. There is a place for bike hiring or electric scooters and that's just the beginning of it. It's a must see park with many sights. The park has more than 1 entrance , each of them offering something to enjoy. I recommend this beautiful huge park.

A Canadian Tourist Review: It's an absolutely massive park in Northern Bucharest. So many people here exercise around the lake. Lots of families. Lots of stalls too. Perfect for those early mornings and sunset. I like walking through here every day!

A really nice place to experience the old ways of living and to see how the building was in the old days. You can also have dinner or lunch there or a beer. The place is very big and you should expect to use about 2 hours if you want to see everything. Minimum 1hour if you're rushing through it without a guide. A guided tour is recomended but not necessary.

I had the opportunity to visit this amazing park this winter, and although it was a bit chilly, I enjoyed every minute. I particularly enjoy walking along the water, and so most of my photos were taken along the waterway. A walk around the water takes about 8 kilometers and is pure relaxation for the soul! Although winter was a special moment, I'm convinced that summer brings a different kind of magic that you absolutely must experience...💚!

Herastrau Park in Bucharest is an absolute gem that exceeded my expectations in every way possible. This sprawling urban park is a tranquil oasis nestled right in the heart of the city, offering a much-needed escape from the bustling streets. One of the first things that struck me about Herastau Park was its sheer size. With its vast green spaces, serene lakes, and picturesque walking paths, the park feels like a world of its own. It's the perfect place to unwind, go for a leisurely stroll, or simply sit back and enjoy the beauty of nature. The park offers a wide range of activities to suit all interests. From renting a paddleboat and exploring the tranquil lake to cycling along the scenic trails, there is something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed taking a relaxing boat ride on the lake, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and admiring the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. For those seeking a moment of serenity, there are numerous spots to sit and relax, including cozy benches under shady trees and charming picnic areas where you can enjoy a delightful outdoor meal. The park is well-maintained, and the cleanliness is commendable. Herastrau Park is not just about natural beauty; it also offers a variety of amenities to enhance visitors' experiences. There are several restaurants and cafes dotted throughout the park, providing a perfect opportunity to grab a refreshing beverage or indulge in a delicious meal. Additionally, the park hosts cultural events and festivals, adding a vibrant touch to the overall atmosphere. I would highly recommend Herastau Park to locals and tourists alike. It is a true haven for nature lovers, families, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of Bucharest. With its impeccable maintenance, scenic views, and diverse range of activities, Herastau Park deserves every bit of its reputation as one of the city's most beloved attractions.

Nordului, Str. Elena Vacarescu, Sos. Bucuresti-Ploiesti, Sos. Kiseleff.

Everyone should visit Romania at least once in their lifetime, and more than once if they’re lucky. Even seasoned travelers will be awestruck by the country’s outstanding natural beauty, the stunning architecture and the welcoming nature of its people. To fully appreciate everything Romania has to offer, we highly recommend Adrian Ene and Tours in Romania, especially if you are a first time visitor. We had less than a month to plan a two week trip around the country during high season, not an easy task. We could not do it on our own and found Tours in Romania through the recommendation of another traveler, and Adrian did not disappoint. He went above and beyond planning every detail of our itinerary, suggesting unique hotels, sending menus to select our meals, and his communication was excellent. The tour price was a great value compared to many other EU countries and included airport transport, hotels, entrance fees and many meals. History is found around every corner, and no one can rival Adrian’s encyclopedic knowledge of the culture, folklore or the origins of every sight we visited. Romania is home to eight World Heritage sights, dozens of medieval fortified churches, impressive castles, the Carpathian Mountains, the Danube Delta, and Bucharest, the Little Paris of the East. There’s so much to see. Accommodations were lovely, especially the homestay and the medieval hotels. Some of our fondest memories are of the farmers working in the fields and the locals in their tiny villages. Adrian always stopped when we wanted to take a photo and taught us basic phrases so we could share a few words with the locals. We cannot express our gratitude to Adrian for helping us fall in love with Romania. He is committed to providing the best, personalized tour and asks each day if you are happy or want to see more nature, less museums, eat with the locals, visit a special sight off the beaten path, etc. He has so many unique suggestions and wants each guest to be completely satisfied. Adrian is patient, flexible, very knowledgeable. He’s just the kind of person you want to meet and go exploring with in a foreign land.

Amazing tour. The best guide ever. Attentive to our prefferences and at the same time with great suggestions which met all our expectations; Wide and profound knowledge , Extreme generousity (everything we asked and dreamt of) and all of the above with a true reasonable price. Thank you Adrian. You are a great guide but most of all an amazing person

(Translated by Google) At the beginning of February 2020 I made a 2-day trip to Bulgaria. The first day I visited Devetashka cave. An absolutely spectacular place - a true wonder of nature. The next stop was the Krushuna waterfalls. An easily accessible place, very easy route and the scenery is one detached from the fantastic stories. The whole complex is special. The last stop on this day was the visit of Lovech. The city center is loaded with history and the covered bridge in Lovech is the main attraction of the city. We stayed at a cozy hotel (pension) - Hotel Varosha 2003. Excellent service, friendly and warm staff. I recommend the hotel restaurant - many traditional Bulgarian dishes. The next day I spent it in Veliko Tarnovo. A historical city, in my opinion the pearl of Bulgaria. Words are useless. Some google searches are uplifting. Special thanks to the guide. Very friendly, polite, available all the time and very documented. Ultimul popas in aceasta zi a fost vizitarea orasului Lovech. A doua zi am petrecut-o in Veliko Tarnovo. Un oras istoric, dupa parerea mea perla Bulgariei. Sunt de prisos cuvintele. Cateva cautari pe google sunt edificatoare. Multumiri speciale ghidului. Foarte amabil, politicos, disponibil tot timpul si foarte documentat.

We had the most fabulous trip to the Carpathian mountains s lot thanks to Adrian our guide. We met him in Bucharest were we started our drive up north for a week, 3 families in 3 cars with 7 children aged 12-16. Adrian is a highly knowledgable and warm hearted guide , which also had a great rapore with the kids who were of all ages with his stories and anecdotes. He is not only very knowledgable but also very kind and went out of his way at all times to satisfy all our needs and requests, which wasn't easy with such a large group, He is truly a special person . I would highly reccomend touring the mediviel cities and capturing the stunning nature and wilderness of Romania with Adrian. Couldn't ask for more. It was a perfectly organized and fun trip

We had a wonderful two weeks in Romania with Adrian. He not only knows a great deal about his country but is also a very special person. Knowledgeable, kind, generous, humane and compassionate are among the words to describe him, not only to his guests but also to people he meets in the street and to animals too. Thank you Adrian and we hope to see you again.

I am a tour leader and I have done several tours with Mr. Adrian Ene. All the tours were great success. Adrian is super professional, highly experienced and loved by all - travelers and staff, in every place we were. From my experience, Adrian is by far the best guide that I worked with in Romania, and I highly recommend him! Adrian is the full package - deep and reach knowledge, familiarity with all the small things which makes the tour successful, and charming personality which makes every moment a great fun. again, highly highly recommended!!

Adrian was very experienced guide during our tour in Romania. We have visited many sites, Cities and villages, in all of them he showed his deep knowledge, presented it in very good English. Adrian was also very cooperative, helped us in all administrative issues. We can recommend him as an excellent tour guide.

  • 5/5 Muki P. 4 years ago on Google
The most reliable and responsible guide I ever met. And I did a number of guided tours. My wife and I really fell in love with him, his attitude toward the team and everyone individually. He also showed great proficiency in most of the topics we asked him. And thanks to him we very much enjoyed the trip to Romania.

  • 5/5 Dana E. 4 years ago on Google
We took Adrian as our guide for a week long family trip. Adrian picked us up from the airport, and immediately his kindness and polite manners came to action. Every day he picked us up on time, waiting with a clean car, water and some snacks. We felt very safe with him driving (even at night) , as he is probably the best driver on Romanian roads. His knowledge of Romania’s history, the architecture and museums was unbelievable. He always had the answer to all our question and some more insights to share. To everyone who has some hesitations of taking a driver\guider, you would make yourself a favor by taking his services and letting him plan and take care of your trip. Frankly, he made our trip so much better and we can’t thank him enough. Elly Family

(Translated by Google) This afternoon I have been with a group of foreign tourists drinking some cocktails. At the time of paying the bill the waitress demanded more money because we had only given her the money for the account and we had not tipped her enough. They demanded 10% of the total bill for the tip. He also asked us for explanations of why we did not pay that amount for the tip. Then another compañera came asking for more explanations. In a country where the tip is not legalized and is optional, I find it embarrassing to demand more money than the client gives you because yes. I have not filed a complaint with the customer protection department and the anaf because my colleagues asked me to leave. But shame I should give you.

Tennis, football squash, etc. Ducks and other animals free to see. A little museum of popular buildings. Huge to walk in. Lake in the middle. Are you a more of a night person? Say no more, you have clubs at the lake side for as long as your wallet holds you. Have a kid? Great! You even a have mini island special tailored for the young ones. At first I thought it was suitable to call this a garden, however given the size ... It's huge, can easily spend hours here strolling, sitting and relaxing. With a huge pond in the middle and ample seating around it, gives you many opportunities to just sit relax and take in the ambience, especially when you consider it's in the busy city of Bucharest. There is a lot to take in, and even a kids play park. With a bike rental at the the entrance it's perfect to cycle and just enjoy. It looks like there used to be options to hire boats on the pond, and quite a few empty buildings that have fallen in to disrepair. Coupled with some overgrown and required landscape maintenance, had to knock a star off. Perhaps due to covid these places had to close and unable to resume, not sure. Only that they should be fixed up to finish the appeal. There are plenty of small pop up shops so can easily grab something to drink, eat or even items to play with kids. All in all very nice area to relax and close to the arch de triumph and other restaurants.

Nice for families. Most of the park you've got only chemical bathrooms. The boat ride is quite cheap, an half hour ride. Playgrounds are ok, the best thing is walking in the relaxing park, cool shade even in August. The museum is nice but for groun up kids only

It’s a really beautiful nice park. Less beautiful when the trees shed their leaves. We were there during late autumn so we still saw some cool parts of it and in the night. You’ll also see a torso of William Shakespeare

It's very important to take care of yourself. Everyone's lives are so busy. Take at least an hour a day to recharge and do whatever makes you better. For grown-ups, whether it's a spa, sitting in a park with a book, or coffee, take time for yourself

Biggest park in Bucharest, clean, green, not very quiet though. However, if you look good enough, for sure you can find some nice spots for reading or for quietly admiring the nature. :)

The most beautiful park of Bucharest, by far. Unfortunately the walking alleys are too crouded lately.. The cafes are too fancy and you can't find a cousy place to have a coffee anywhere except the presei libere entrance Slso it definitely needs more playgrounds

A huge and fabulous park great for a bike ride or stroll. Lots of benches and concessions. Very green and pretty, with a huge lake in the middle. It's only too bad you can't go swimming in it!!

Einfach toll.

Great great great option to go "away" while being in the city centre. Huge array of activities to choose from. Even a short walk is enough, but you still have ferries to go around the lake, a huge open air beer fest, and restaurants. Nice walk around the small lake. We went twice to the park, once on each side and we had a blast.

Such a lovely and huge park. You can easily spend days here. There are lots of things to do. There are restaurants, an open air village museum, a concert hall, a Japanese garden, several statues and many other things inside the park. I absolutely love it.
