A granite triumph arc just outside the city centre, but easily accessible by the bus service. You can climb up (it is free of charge!) to admire a beautiful panorama!

The view was amazing. We took a lot of amazing photos, so I highly recommend. I think they only open during summer and entrance is free of charge. They also have telescopes that are also for free.

Great experience, great view and great exercise to boot! Lots of stairs to climb to reach the summit however totally worth the effort. Beautiful views of the city from this vantage point, I would recommend a visit for sure, just keep in mind you are only able to climb to the roof on Saturday and Sunday only.

Pretty cool monument in the middle of a roundabout. Saw it a couple of times whilst staying in the city. Stands out a lot. If you want to see it up close there is a bus stop right next to it which you can get off at to view it.

An old dusty relic of a time long past. Another sad totem glorifying the death of many for the sake of a chosen few. In itself the building is useless. A small copy of another copy. From my point of view, it looks better in pictures so if you are nearby the park can be a far more pleasurable way of spending the time.

They let you inside and to the top. Really liked that from other Arch's. Easier climb up than the leaning tower of pisa.

A really cool landmark, actually better than the one in Paris because you can just walk in, there's a museum inside and there's an insanely great view at the top. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful historical monument of Bucharest, it was built starting 1921 and has 27m height. A must see in Bucharest. Nice view from the top. It is opened in the summer weekends (from May until October), and there is no fee to get in.

Definitely a must visit. You can get on top of the Arch on weekends, free of charge. There is also a small museum related to war inside, on the way to top. Best time to visit is autumn, when you have an extraordinary view over the King Michael Park (Herăstrău) and Kisseleff blv.

Amazing view, almost the same as in Paris but 2 times smaller. It is monument of Romanian-French friendship. Monument made by sandstone, but without nothing special of architect details. Big roundabout, be careful when crossing through.

With a hight of 27 meters, it is one of the must see when in Bucharest. Recently renovated it is a great place to take photos and to walk by since it is located next to the park. During the night it is well lit. If you want to get in you can do it from June til October during the weekend between 14:00 and 21:00.

In Bucharest's embrace so wide, Arcul de Triumf stands with pride. Neoclassical beauty, strong and tall, A monument that enthralls us all. Soldiers' valor it does proclaim, Inscribed in history, etched in fame. Through conflicts and time, it endures, A symbol of courage that assures. Doric and Corinthian grace, In this timeless, sacred space. From its arch, the city gleams, In its shadow, dreams take streams. Bucharest's heart, a sight to behold, Arcul de Triumf, a story untold. In its grandeur, we find our way, A beacon of hope that forever will stay.

We found our Portugese family on this spectacular monument. It is a bit iconic for tourist and worth the visit. Go up top so you can get some great views of the city, something a bit harder when you stick to the streets for sightseeing.

Good landmark to see Bucharest from the top. You can go on the top for free, however, it seems to be possible only during the weekend. To reach the place, you have to go from the side walk and cross with red lights, it’s way safer.

It's one of the most beautiful monuments of Bucharest and a great meaning for Romanians. You can visit it for free. While you take the stairs to the top you can also see some expositions inside of it in small rooms and along the stairs. From the top you have an amazing view above the city.

Arc de Triomphe in Bucharest is a true gem that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. As I stood before this magnificent arch, I couldn't help but feel awe-inspired by its grandeur and the historical significance it carries. This iconic landmark is a must-visit for anyone exploring the beautiful city of Bucharest. The architecture of Arc de Triomphe is simply breathtaking. Its imposing structure, adorned with intricate details and decorative sculptures, reflects the skilled craftsmanship of its time. The arch stands tall and proud, symbolizing Romania's triumphs and honoring the bravery and sacrifices of its heroes. It is a true testament to the country's rich heritage. Visiting Arc de Triomphe allows you to immerse yourself in history. The nearby exhibition hall provides a wealth of information about the arch's origins, its various reconstructions, and the events it has witnessed over the years. It's fascinating to learn about its role in commemorating important moments in Romanian history. One of the highlights of my visit was climbing to the top of the arch. The panoramic view from up there is simply breathtaking! I could see the bustling city of Bucharest, with its mix of old and new buildings, parks, and tree-lined boulevards. It was a picture-perfect moment that I will cherish forever. The surrounding park is another delightful aspect of Arc de Triomphe. It offers a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle, providing ample space for leisurely strolls and picnics. I highly recommend taking a moment to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere while admiring this architectural masterpiece. The accessibility to Arc de Triomphe is excellent, with public transportation options available nearby. The area is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and informative. They are more than willing to answer any questions and provide assistance if needed. In conclusion, Arc de Triomphe is an absolute must-visit when exploring Bucharest. Its historical significance, stunning architecture, and breathtaking views make it a top attraction for locals and tourists alike. I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved 5-star rating and encourage everyone to experience the grandeur of this landmark firsthand. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and opinions at the time of my visit

A historic landmark originally built of wood so that the troops could march below it. The Arch has now become a roundabout and witnesses very heavy traffic all day. You can have a glimpse only from the side walks as it is dangerous to venture out in the mid of high speed traffic to reach below the Arch ( I saw people doing this). The park alongside offers you better options for recreation.

Sweetspot for Bucharest's mid-century panorama lovers, now a mild 4-stories hike in the middle of lush greenery. Could be way better prepared on the inside, with less nationalist pathos and more history facts, still a nice sightseeing spot.

It is a wonderful ar. May be smaller than Arc of Triumph in Paris. It is located at center of the city. Almost 7 roads are crossing there. A huge park is located near it. Unfortunately, no one is interested in it. You may suffer to have a picture there. Easy accessible by all means of transportation. No tickets are needed. No waiting time.

A beautifully crafted Monument that reminds us of Romanian's Honour, Glory and Unity. It is a Master Piece, constructed with the purpose to inspire all the Generations to come, starting from 1921-1922(Building years). It commemorates Our Country's Victory in the 1st World War and Crowning 👑 of King Ferdinand and Queen Marie

Rising above the bustling intersection of Kiseleff Road, the Arcul de Triumf stands as an iconic landmark in Romania's capital. Inspired by its namesake in Paris, Bucharest's triumphal arch was built in 1922 to honor Romanian soldiers who fought in World War I. The stunning archway crafted from granite features elaborate sculptural details depicting military victories and leaders from Romania's history. Visitors can climb the interior staircase to reach the top terrace of the 85-foot arch for panoramic views over Bucharest. The structure provides a powerful vantage point to observe historic buildings along with the arch itself framed against the cityscape. At night, the Arcul de Triumf radiates in artistic lighting. Set amidst grand boulevards, the monument grounds also contain the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the National History Museum. Exploring the arch and its symbolic significance provides insight into Romania's resilient past. Whether glimpsed from a passing car or viewed up close, Bucharest's Arcul de Triumf stands as an awe-inspiring tribute to the nation.

Impressive monument that we all know from Paris. A few lanes road circles it which makes you think about Paris even more. However, it is not pretending that it is the one in Paris. It proudly demonstrate the victory and the power of the city. There is no Champs-Eliseé there but a major road with nice huge houses and trees along it. Especially in Christmas time and after (entire January) the road is beautifully decorated with lights confirming that Bucharest is truly the Paris of East.

The monument, built according to the French model, is every year, on December 1, the main stage for the military parade organized in Bucharest. The story of the monument begins in 1922, four years after the Great Union, when the authorities of that time decided to organize a grand parade to celebrate the event. To do this, they built a temporary Triumph Arch, made of wood. Later in the same year, in preparation for the coronation of King Ferdinand I, the authorities decided to build a new, more durable one. Ten years later, in 1932, under the pressure of the media, the authorities decided to replace the basoreliefs from the exterior plaster with the new ones from stone or marble and the new inauguration took place on December 1, 1936, the event being one of the rare moments when Regina Maria appeared in public with her son, King Carol II. The monument can sometimes be visited. In addition to the state of joy offered by the resonance of a triumphal arch, laden with respect and admiration by many significant historical moments, the 27-meter-high terrace offers a magnificent view. Often, exhibitions are organized inside the monument, occasions with which the public has access inside.

Arch of Triumph built after Romania gained it s independence, you can get at the top we're you ll find nice views over the city.

  • 5/5 Romulus C. 2 years ago on Google
It's definately worth a visit. A lot of history related to the kingdom of Romania with a nice exhibit on the inside. There is one place with lots of pictures set up on a large table and some of them are squeezed to the point of deformation. It's a small detail that tells you the way this landmark was renovated recently. Also, the flag up top frequently gets tangled in the pole with nobody taking care of that Overall great experience though.

Beautiful Historical Monument in Romania, completed in September 1936 to celebrate Romania 🇷🇴Victory in World War 1. The Arch is 88.7 Feet Tall ( 27 Meters). Located near one of the entrances to Herăstrău Park, the Arch is located in a busy roundabout - and it would be difficult to walk up close, but this landmark is beautiful from the sidewalk next to the park.

  • 4/5 Christopher H. 2 years ago on Google
A lovely piece of architecture, but it is a dangerous place to physically get to...basically it is a roundabout and I saw cars crash when I visited. So take care when you take a selfie

  • 5/5 Bogdan N. 2 years ago on Google
You can go upstairs and have a great 360 view of the city. There are also paintings of the royal family and so on. Awesome!

It was a great walk around the monument and I got to climb up the stairs and see Bucharest from the top of the place which was really cool! Ps. The entry is free of charge.

Very impressive gate located next to the main park of the city. It is not easy to get near the gate itself but with some patience at the crossings and traffic lights you can do it.

I walked by here during sightseeing. Very reminiscent visuals of the Arc in France. It is probably a factor in why Bucharest is called the "Paris of the East."

Access to the structure is not easy as it is in the middle of a roundabout but worth the effort...The stairs to the top was closed for Christmas but that didn't bother me..Looks good lit up at night

  • 5/5 Emanuele U. 2 years ago on Google
The Arcul is the best way to enter in the capital city, this momumental "gate" that brings you into Bucarest's atmosphere and gives an amazing welcome even if it doesn't speak.

Nice for a quick visit. Don’t forget to go to the house of the free press if you are already there. Unfortunately, it was not possible to go up up/inside when we were there.

You can't give less than five stars. Most of the tourists that visit Romania don't read what is written on it. What is written on it is the fundamental stone of Romania's history and existence as a nation. It's powerful. It has a Parisian vibe as well. It's an awesome landmark.

  • 4/5 Herwig R. 1 year ago on Google
Nice place to visit. Be sure to do it on Saturday or Sunday, because there you can also go up with great views. It's a little bit tricky to go there, but you can manage it.

Very impressive piece of neoclassical design. . The original arch quuckly was constructed of wood to celebrate Romania's independence. This version is closely based on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

It's a beautiful place. Mesmerizing with its power and strength. It evokes feelings and one wants to look at it for a long time. It met us on our arrival in Bucharest and we decided to come to it on foot to admire it better.

Visiting Arcul de Triumf was a very nice experience. Going up and down the stairs is manageable and doesn't take long and there is also a museum on the way. There is no entrance fee. The views are totally worth the climb.

Nice monument in the middle of the town. Nice, majestic and imponent structure. Main road lead there so it's something almost impossible not to see.

A monument to celebrate the victories of Romanian army during ww1 and the success of establishing a big country. Unfortunately the monument is closed for now. You cannot enter even during weekends. It is quite beautiful and big, look similar to the one in Paris and worth a visit.
