Very beautiful place, very quiet, very clean! It's like from another world when you come from a crowded city. It's an untouched place as it should be. I entered for free, the 10lei "fee" is a donation if you want to make.

Wunderschöne Klosteranlage. Die Ganze Anlage ist wie eine Festung aufgebaut. Die, im Museum, ausgestellten Stücke sind einmalig. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Incredible ancient painted monastery that is still active. New and Old Testament stories in paint on every square inch of the large inside as well as parts of the outside. The ancient culture is still alive and well here with much to admire. Worth traveling far to visit.

Awesome experience in Northern Romania / Bucovina. One of the best preserved monasteries after more than 400 years (although the exterior painting is suffering). Visit the monastery and the museum (thesaurus room) while listening the nun guide. Enjoy 💖

One of most beautiful Monasteries from this part of country. Architecture and painting shows importance of this place. It's part of local history and there is a museum to learn about it. Nouns keep this place in very good condition and they know how to tell story of Monastery. You will find silence and right atmosphere for praying. Pilgrim or just simple tourist, you should silence your mind and feel the beauty of the place.

My favorite place of Romania so far ! An amazing place with painted walls. The shield walls are great because they offer a pure mood to this place.

Spectacular monastery, with unique painting. The painted calendar of saints is outstanding. The hill nearby, a must climb, offers an excellent view of the site and surrounding mountains.

Such a beautiful place. Definitely worth visiting! It is also FREE if you don't have any cash for the "ticket", because you can‘t pay with card.

Still ok. No signs of preservation or conservation works. Nice garden and nice and helpful nuns. Some kitch outside the monastry walls. Nice museum, free of charge.

The monastery lies in the arms of the Bucovina's forested hills. It's defending wall is Impressive, with a astounding entrance. Like all monasteries around, the courtyard is filled with flowers and it's greatly taken care of.

It's an impressive monastery. Great and exquisite paintings inside and outside. When we visited there was an entrance fee. The clothing must be chosen correct or they will not let women enter. They will provide skirts for the women who are not dressed accordingly.

For what I saw, Romanian monastery’s like a European castle with the difference they strong believed in Religion. On Romania all monastery are closed in defence walls and this thanks to Stefan The Greatest (a gladiator(?)) who was they hero and who build a church for every win battle.
