I must admit when my husband first suggested we go out to the middle of the desert in December I thought he was crazy! Upon arriving I continued that same train of thought. It wasn't until we jumped into the razor and took off into the hills that I understood what the draw to this desert wonderland was. Climbing up the dunes and racing down them is an experience I can't really explain. But I would recommend it to anyone who has the chance. Unless of course, you have a weak heart, because riding the dunes is not for the faint of heart. My only complaint is that there is no curfew (or at least it isn't endorced). The camper a few spots down from us was up until 3 or 4 am the whole weekend, which make for a rough nights sleep. If you don't have the opportunity to go out and ride the dunes just being there (when its quiet) is very breath taking. The sun rise and sunsets over the dunes do not disappoint. Great for families and anyone who wants to get out and have some fun!

Tranquil, stunning and a good work out running up and down the biggest dunes! I didn’t want to leave. It’s the perfect environment to take stock and decompress after a long drive. Shame that there is some litter left in the sand, otherwise it’s unspoilt and the best of nature in all its glory.

The desert can be rough but if you enjoy a good adventure and don't mind a little sun, it's the perfect escape from the city. The dunes are plentiful and can throw a sandstorm or two so come prepared for that. Make sure you have the following: -Water -Goggles -Sunglasses -Sunscreen -Portable Battery Charger -Cool clothes for the heat of the day -Warm clothes for the nightly chill -And WATER - I know I said water already but don't forget it.

Love the sand dunes! Not a place for you if you are learning or first time to the desert. Be aware of the bear traps! People will for what ever reason will dig large pits just for you and me to crash into or kill due to the large pit dug . Be safe ride with care make it home. See y’all out there friends

Fun place to dune. Good place to bring your RV or rent one. If your from out of state, its a good place to come during the winter. Back home in Idaho, there is snow on the ground. Nice to take a break from the snow to play in the sand and the sun.
