I initially wondered what would be special about visiting the Southern tip of Africa, but I shouldn't have. On a very sunny and clear day, being at the point where the Indian and the Atlantic oceans meet was a very memorable experience. Big open skies, sweeping views of two oceans at the same time, beautiful rocks, thick shrubs, colorful wildflowers and visitors soaking the whole thing in are just a few of the things that will catch your fancy.

Simply a beautiful place to visit. Was surprised at how big the town is. Park and walk along the well maintained walk ways along the shore. The roads(incl. gravel roads) for sedans is not to bad. On sunny days remember a hat. The map of Africa was a surprise.

a very beautiful place. many tourists do not even realize that the point where 2 oceans meet is located here. it is in a national park and entry is completely free. We drove from Cape Town for 3 hours, it was hard but it was worth it. Now, I have a tick in my head ✅

An amazing experience all round! It takes around 3 hours to get here from Cape Town but the drive makes it all worthwhile. When you get there, you can’t help but feel in awe that you’re at the tip of the entire African continent. I’d recommend spending a day and even walking through the walking paths to experience the full might of the oceans when you’re there.

A nice landmark to say you’ve been but ultimately not a lot there. There could’ve been more information given about the monuments there and it would’ve been interesting to know more about the two oceans. Overall a bit of a missed opportunity. Pretty views though.

Such an awesome place!! So glad we made the side trip down here! The terrain map/sculpture of Africa is a new favourite piece of artwork! Also the official meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Not very many places in the world to stand at the southernmost tip of a continent and see two oceans meeting. (You don’t actually see anything different visually but it’s still pretty cool!) Ignore Google directions and just go to the first parking lot, it took us around to an old dirt road 500m beyond the place we needed to be so we doubled back to the parking lot.

Lovely to stand at the most southerly point in Africa, where the two oceans meet... Great boardwalks and views. Love the map of Africa. We visited close to sunset, it wasn't very busy and felt very safe.

It was a beautiful and interesting experience. The people are so friendly and it is a stunning laid back see dorpie. Very affordable too as South Africans have a cheaper rate and kids 11 and under are half price. The only thing that was a bit strange is that the lighthouse does not have any public ablution facilities.

On a warm autumn morning every step towards this iconic landmark was worth it.The scenery of the coastal line with the crystal blue waters of the sea was breathtaking. It was encouraging to note the majority of patrons were local visitors. The boardwalk allows for easy relaxing walking and protects the surrounding fynbos vegetation and little creatures from being trampled and destroyed.... we met a little tortoise along the way. I recommend this tourist site including a visit to the lighthouse on your bucket list of SA attractions.

This is a very special spot ... the most Southern Point of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans collide. You can view the wild sea from a wonderful boardwalk leading to large beacon marking the actual line where the oceans meet. There is a huge, beautiful 3D map of Africa flat on the ground, which puts the whole viewpoint into perspective. There is no entrance fee.

Beauty beyond description. Absolutely amazing. Overberg tourism really did a splendid design and layout with boardwalks and 3D map of Africa. The place is also kept neat and clean. We also visited Waenhuiskrans, also called Arniston to see the huge seawater enclave. The tide already started coming in, so we couldn't go into the cave.

I was super impressed by how disabled friendly this sight was. There are lovely wooden decked pathways to and from the viewing spot. A real pleasure to walk.

Came from Gansbaai for the day to see the tip. -Nice monument to the southern tip. Big africa map with geography. And a statue thing for the southern tip -Because of the rocks and water you cannot actually stand on the southern most land/rock, it would be difficult and dangerous to get to. But i got as close as i could. -You can touch indian and atlantic ocean here. -Nice wooden boardwalks to reach monument. There was a few lizards on the boardwalk too. -I was there Nov 20th, it was a cloudy day and there was not many people there. 3 people in one group when i arrived, and as i was leaving there was 4 people in a group coming to it.

Standing at the bottom of the African continent, precious moment. Visit a natural built up wall that humans made 22 000yrs ago just a few metres down the road. Finally the shipwreck and to top it all up the beautiful flowers and what the sea has brought up to the beach.

Pick a hot day to visit, make sure you pack a swimming costume to dip in the ocean, it is very warm and clean. The drive is a little rough but bareable, beautiful community along the way. Awesome views.

It's a must visit! We were debating whether or not to go but we are glad we disi it. It's a bit out of the tourist routes of Capetown but it was worth it all. It was beautiful to also learn a bit about the history. Ofcourse the drive there was breathtaking. However dress like an onion because the weather changes quickly

Must see very beautiful place. We were eager to see if 2 oceans do mix, and yes, they do. May be in a very calm day you can see the difference, but in a windy weather it's waves.

The most Southern tip of Africa. Cape Agulhas, is a beautiful mother nature with help from Agulhas Nature reserve keeping it clean and well looked after. I have been visiting Struisbaai almost a year apart, what I have experienced this year 2023 the tide was lower than other years of visit. I am able to see the rocks . It is one of the top on the list to see around Cape Agulhas

Wet dream of any geography-lover. Quite easily accessible, there are wooden walkways up to the tip. Cool map in front of the point. Very windy in the winter.

The walkway and monuments are kept clean and the national park in general is a great place to visit in the really “still” Stilbaai and L’Aghulas area. We walked around enjoying some nice views of the lighthouse and the nature around us.

Bucket list experience, amazing how beautifully it is looked after and maintained. Hard to believe this is in South Africa, where the parks board has let everything fall apart, this is one that they have gotten right.

If you want a cool picture - if you want to walk from Indian to Atlantic Ocean or the other way. Here is your right spot. Stay in line and wait for the Moment. It is worth the waiting.

FREE ENTRY, and an overall great experience. I’ve been here multiple times, but it’s always great to say that you’re as far south on the African continent as you can possible be. Ample parking and a short easy walk to get to the “Two Oceans Beacon”

Cape L'Agulhas is a beautiful safe town that is the tip of Africa. It takes around 4 hrs to 5hrs drive from Cape Town international Airport to there. I was amazed. I would go back in a heart beat. There is also national park.

Great scenery and fresh air at the most southern point in Africa. Easy parking and the light house and ship wreck are just minutes away.

Visiting this place makes it easy to realise how small one actually is, and how immensely massive our planet is. It is a fun thought knowing that one could be the southernmost person on the continent for a moment. This spot is extremely busy over December holidays, people literally queuing for photos at the signpost. If the wind plays along, one could have a picnic while enjoying the view of the two oceans’ rendezvous.

Really nice national park. The boardwalk around from the lighthouse make walking around to take in the view easy and the instillations are well done and thought through. There are some amazing spots to watch the sunset where one can park right up on the beach even without a 4x4.

Beautiful! Worth the long driving. The walking trail was very lovely and had great view.

Do not follow Google Maps route if you are frail. Follow the signage provided on site after passing the lighthouse. There is a bit more than just the “old monument plaque” to photograph, if you have a drone take it with. Trainers would be more comfortable than sandals for the cobblestone path that leads to a decked walkway.

😐 Interesting place full of history. Not so well maintained exhibition with plastic-wrapped posters and definitely NY-level entrance prices. Not easy to climb ladders within - it gets tougher the higher up you get. Absolutely amazing views of the area, and friendly staff.
