It is a very nice hotel with a special flair of a country house. The decoration has a unique and personal style which made the stay cosy. The room was very comfortable. I was the first time there twenty years ago and twice in between. It was upkept nicely and modernized without loosing its character. I very much enjoyed the awesome dinner in the dinning room overlooking the sea in the past. Unfortunately they don't do it anymore... that's a pity. All in all a pleasant stay in a nice hotel at a special place.

Can hardly get a better location. The food was outstanding and the stories Phillip was telling us made this a very special stay. Thank you all, owners and staff to make this one of our highlights.

The restaurant is closed for dinner and alternatives were closed on a Sunday, with limited vegetarian options. The town feels quite lifeless with very few activities. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. Rooms need to be deepcleaned thoroughly as it smells musty and the bathroom smells like sewerage. Jacuzzi bath was great but the smell left a lasting impression. Not good value for money.

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Country Lodge. I will recommend it to anyone who asks! The place is also perfect for bigger groups that may want to be together and have private rooms. We went there during the #capestorm and had to extend our stay by two extra nights as a result. Peter was fantastic and was always concerned for our safety. We were the only guests there so had the whole place to ourselves. Interesting historical decor and books. Breakfast service was good and friendly. Lots of little lounges to relax in. The only problem for me was the stairs so request a room closer to reception if you dont like stairs.

We loved it the place is awesome, people is amazing. I would really want everyone to experience this amazing place. Thanks for having us there and making our weekend so special. We will be back

What an amazing place to stay. Room was super comfortable and luxurious.... no road noise.... only the sound of waves announcing there arrival. Staff are super professional and friendly.We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay over on the 12th October. Peter was our host and was amazing. Friendly and professional. Lovely sea facing room with terrace. Breakfast was amazing and very delicious. Will definitely go back.

Excellent welcome and personal service from Peter. Made us comfortable and ensured that our vegetarian dietary needs were catered for at breakfast. Well located close to the lighthouse and nature reserve.

A fantastic gem to be experienced for yourself. From the wonderfully appointed rooms to the delicious breakfast, it's the most amazing place to enjoy the great sea view from. Friendly service and a cozy bar. What more can one want!? We loved every moment.

2021/10/8 Lovely place to stay, tucked in a corner of a hill with a lovely view over the ocean. Plenty of restaurants and a few shops nearby for necessities. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The room had plenty of space and the bed was clean and comfy. Only downside is a couple of stairs so pack light and you are fine. Staff is friendly, breakfast included was great and there is a mini Bar if you fancy something stronger. We recommend Agulhas Country Lodge and will stay there again if the need arise.
