✨Amazing Indian Vegetarian / Vegan Cafe✨ We visited for the first time today as my partner is obsessed with Chai at the moment. For drinks I had the biscoff coffee shake which was sensational, the coffee wasn’t too overpowering and the roast / blend choice was delicious. My partner had the home brewed Masala Chai which he thoroughly enjoyed, and the pot of tea he received was massive! (We stayed a bit longer just so he could finish it as it was that good) For mains we had the Indian breakfast muffin (vegan sausage, Indian spiced hash browns, and a bbq tamarind chutney) and the Chai Buckwheat pancakes which came with syrup and berries. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, the chutney was amazing and really pulled everything together. Though I didn’t try the pancakes they were gone within minutes. Both me and my partner agreed portion sizes were bob on, we felt full without feeling overly lethargic. Though we didn’t have the opportunity to try them the cakes and Indian deli looked delicious. Our entire meal with drinks cost under £20 which I think is ridiculously reasonably priced considering the quality and portion sizes of the food and drink. (Not to mention the very quick service!) It is also worth noting they seemed to have an extensive ice cream range. All staff were super friendly, the woman serving us really seemed to care about our experience there and we were given customer service you can’t simply buy without there being a true passion for what she was serving. I would highly recommend dining here, and we look forward to visiting again.

Great addition to Romiley! Lovely decor, great food and some super yummy desserts too if you want! Seating was comfortable and the menu (mostly vegan so great news) was super too. We had the keema pitta and the masala fries - super tasty! Will try the rest of the menu next time. Also worth mentioning are the vegan options for hot chocolate/white chocolate - great to see these options on any menu!

Really enjoyed our first visit to the newly opened Chai Village for delicious Vegetarian Indian street food. For a light lunch, four of us shared Panel Tikka Salad, Samosa Chaat, Chana Masala and Rice, and Vada Pau. They were all delicious! We also tried some ice cream - the Pistachio Malai was very grown-up taste. We’ll definitely be back.

Been here on two separate occasions now. I live around the corner and this is a very convenient cafe for me. Firstly the turmeric latte is divine, do try that. Now with it being a vegan cafe expect only your staple vegan curries, chickpea, samosas, paneer and the like. Personally vegetarian curries are the best anyway. Love me some dhall, spinach and potato's etc but they aren't on the menu. There are nice flavours to sample though, very aromatic, portions are on the small side, but it's not a restaurant. It's a light bite with a coffee. As a connoisseur of rice and three in Manchester, this comes no where near in terms of value and taste, but I'm hugely proud we have establishments like this popping up in Romiley. They have a selection of kulfi ice cream which is really unique, I do recommend you try as it's really creamy and they have interesting flavours to sample. The things they could improve, a ceiling fan wouldn't go a miss as it can get quite warm, they'd also benefit from a wall mounted fly exterminator, also the seating is really odd, they have loads of space but like 3 tables, and you only need one person to grab one of those and and there is no where to sit. They'd do well to get a long wooden beam that acts as a table put across the two big windows with stools you can sit on to look outside to accommodate individuals just popping in for a bite. There's a small children's play area to keep the little ones entertained which is a nice touch. All in all though I wish them the best.

Love this place! The food is absolutely amazing. It looks good, smells good and tastes fabulous! We always try to pick something different off the menu because all the dishes are so delicious. Can’t recommend the masala fries enough. They are ridiculously tasty and I always order them every time. The cakes and puddings are really good too. Always something different to choose from. The owner is super friendly and always smiley when you walk through the door. This is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant which is amazing to have on the door step. The decor is really cozy and has a cute indie vibe.

First time visit to Chai Village, greeted warmly by the waitress, owner was also very friendly and welcoming. We had the veg burger and harabara wrap, both came with chips but we really wanted to try the Massala chips so they let us have a large portion instead of the sides that came with the meal. Absolutely blown away by the food. The sauce on the chips was quite possibly the nicest I have tasted. Ever. The burger was amazing and the bite I had of the wrap was also way above average. We had the trio of plates as well and they were fantastic. All in all a really great experience. Looking forward to another visit.

What a gem of a place. Brilliant service, very friendly lady who took our order. The food was delicious, the drinks as well. We especially liked the keema chips. I plan on bringing my husband next time with me. The kids play area is a bonus!

My husband and I came here yesterday with my family and we had the most lovely afternoon. The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious, the place was spotless and there was so much choice. I'm only glad I don't live nearer because I would be in there every day, eating way too much! 😂 Thank you so much! 💜

Chai village is one of if not THE best cafe in Romiley! The food is all homemade and delicious, I couldn't recommend a particular dish as they are all so lovely! Definitely would recommend trying a tumeric / beetroot latte though, they are delicious. There is also a more simple breakfast menu of pancakes/vegan sausage sandwiches, etc, if you want something more simple for a little one. I visit often with my son as there is a little play area in the corner which is perfect to keep him occupied whilst we wait for food. The owner is super super friendly and would go out of her way to help you, she is always helping me out with my buggy down the steps or getting a highchair, whatever it might be. Highly recommend, please pay a visit :)
