Today I took my 16yr old son for a prom suit. On entering we were asked by a gentleman if we needed help. My husband explained why we there. The assistant measured my son and said he had nothing in the shop to fit him. He's 6ft1 and very slim. He advised him to go on a pie and Guinness diet! On seeing my sons distress I asked if he could try on the smallest suit jacket. At which point the assistant grabbed the jacket and put it on my so.pulling the jacket around him. Saying if you want to where it as a dressing gown it would be fine. Come back when you have put some weight on.!!. Is this acceptable? If my son was overweight would it be OK to say come back when you have lost weight.? I think not The whole experience lasting just 10 minutes was horrible humiliating and upsetting for us all.

Went to Waddingtons to hire wedding suit. Girl in shop had very little knowledge of what available. No samples or anything to show. Just a voice from the back room shouting out the price. Very bad service . So we went to Slaters in Nottingham. Wonderful service there and £60 cheaper... .

I have always passed Waddington since I was a child and never been in until recently whilst shopping for a wedding suit. The service, advice and quality, as well as the value was unbeatable. Cannot recommend them enough! they made the experience completely stress free and made the big day (and the photos) perfect.

We hired our wedding party suits from here and couldn’t fault the service we received. The suits were beautiful and everyone looked great. First time experience with them this morning, really friendly staff, very informative and a great range of outfits. Looking forward to reviewing the brochure So after first visiting and several months later I have to say the service from start to finish was exceptional. After the initial fitting several members needed a bigger size. This wasn't an issue, the order was made and two days later we were able to collect the additional items at no extra cost. It was hard finding a similar suit size for my 9 Yr old to fit the theme with the adults but with Waddingtons this wasn't an issue. Thanks for everything and all the best for the future

We hired wedding suits for our wedding in September and both the suits and service from Waddingtons was fantastic. All the lads (and dad's!) looked amazing. Waddingtons went above and beyond to be helpful at every stage, and were incredibly organised with sorting the measurements for the party, making the whole process so easy for us. I would thoroughly recommend them for formal hire.

Fantastic service, including a replacement outfit for the best man on the morning of the wedding. All managed so calmly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

More of a destination than a mere shop. This is by far the most interesting place to buy something in the local area. It’s a hidden treasure. I only relieved them of a pair of bamboo socks on this occasion but will be back again quite soon.
