The food was very nice, good flavours and very generous portions. But 2/3 dishes arrived cold. The staff were friendly, but not very attentive, took half an hour to have our order taken, 20min wait for two beers, and an hour for food that was cold. overall we spent 2hours there and there were only 2 of us.

We discovered Doner Summer at Spark tonight! What a great alternative to your normal fast food places! We had the Korean BBQ teller which had plenty of fresh vegetables and warm chicken pieces and sat on a bed of garlic fries. The portions are great and plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Will return again and try some of the salads on offer!!

Poor service. They take they're time (to put it nicely) and when the food does arrive it's all Vegan! It's not like Spark is a great place either. Music is often too loud and atmosphere is unpleasant and cold (cause guess what; shipping containers aren't very habitable).

I love to buy some food here to takeaway when I visit the North. I wish there was a shop somewhere in the South too. The kebab is really good and the wings too. Food is always hot and tasty. I always use delivery services to order and it’s always quite fast. Never disappointed!

We went to York for 24 hours and ate here twice 😂 it was amazing both times. I loved the garlic and chilli sauce. The loaded chips (Teller Trays) were lussssssh! The burger was good and we had the wraps too which were also well tasty. So many gorgeous flavours that I was thrilled to still be able to taste for hours after. It’s happy dance worty grub. I feel sad there are none of these down south. Please come to Southampton or Salisbury or somewhere near there! It was BANGIN.

The company advertised a Greek style gyro. What I got was doner kebab with goats cheese. I am Greek Cypriot this is not Greek food. A Percy order some 30 minutes before online I was given arrival time of 10. After 30-minutes I requested my food. I shaking incidents they said they were bringing it out . My doubts were confirmed when I was brought a cold gyro . The spark is amazing avoid this......

My boyfriend and I loved the food and couldn't believe it was all vegan! The lady was very friendly and chatty, even though she expressed that she was new and it seemed busy! Will definitely be back next time we're in york, great service!

Had a fantastic lunch, the kebabs are huge, packed with tasty "meat", salads and flavoursome sauces. The staff are super friendly, and I can't wait to try more things here!

The best vegan place in York! This was our first stop on our York Self Guided Vegan Food Tour, wish we'd come here last! My parents recently went plant based and nervous to eat out anywhere for fear of not finding a decent menu, however this place has loads to choose from - great tasting food and drinks and lovely garden to sit in! We came here just on a whim after walking past it and absolutely loved it! The decor was so cute and such a nice set up with large tables and really gorgeous scenery. We came when it was sunny but the heaters above the table would mean you could come even if the weather wasn’t amazing. We were over the moon with how much choice there was and we were both super happy with the food- it was delicious and would definitely be coming back!

This might be the best burger I've ever had! We had a selection of dishes which were all fantastic! Definitely going to come back.

I was born in Germany and love German food. I’m not vegan, enjoy meat and have never thought of giving it up. I’ve eaten here twice in the last seven days and could now contemplate going meat free if it was always so tasty.

It was amazing! Love it. Super tasty. The drinks were good too. The jam doughnut drink was fantastic. The food blew my taste buds away! I was sad when I'd finished.

For vegan food this was a very nice place. Staff were super friendly and I really like the layout of the place. Something different. Only reason I did not gave 5 stars was because it wasn't very clean. The table was sticky and the glass was a little dirty

Really great food. Was lovely to get a different meal with my partner and share because both were delicious. Unfortunately they were very busy and therefore slow on the drinks, but they compensated for that. Would definitely go again

Was welcomed with a smile straight away and promptly seated, service was amazing the whole way through and I even stayed for extra drinks just to avoid the rain😂, the food was the true masterpiece though, I had the “Chick’n Parm Teller” which was more than enough, slightly on the pricey side but all nice food is. Definitely worth a visit and will 100% be back when I return to york.

We were only in York for three nights but ate here for two of them. I was hanging for a yiros (tried the burger the second time) and found this place near where we were staying. We came in at 4.30pm so it was pretty quiet. I ordered the yiros and my wife ordered the chicken bites. We were given a couple of extra dips to try and the portions were huge. They actually forgot my extra chips which was perfectly fine as we took leftovers with us anyway and didn't need them. We had a couple of beers and glasses of wine. We even got to chatting with the owner and we were given a bag of some vegan gummy lollies to try. This place was awesome. My biggest regret is there isn't a doner summer in Adelaide. Yet. If you find your self in York and need a decent meal come and check this place out.

Everything was perfect about this place. Paul suggested us dishes they tasted really nice best vegan burgers and kebabs I ever had. Chips they served as side was all crisps. Just loved it . Thanks for serving us Paul.

We went back twice in our short stay in bath. They slipped the kids lollipops and the portions were huge and I don’t think I’ve had better Buffalo chick’n wings!! Outdoor seating had a little heater and a pet squirrel and the staff were super kind and friendly both times. Fast service.

I rated 4 stars for food because no gluten free options other than fries. I usually eat strictly gluten free but was with 3 friends who had their heart set on the place. I decided to eat gluten and had the salt and pepper fried chicken lunch which was tasty and very reasonably priced. The server was super nice and we met their resident blackbird, Roger, who kept us all company as we lunched. Outdoor seating had amazing heater lights overhead. Great spot overall, just asking for at least one NGCI menu option please.

The best vegan food I have ever had, the restaurant looked really interesting but didn't clock it was vegan. Maddie who was serving us explained and recommended some dishes that were out of this world! We haven't stopped talking about how much we enjoyed the food at Döner Summer! Would definitely visit again!

Our first visit. Taylor welcomed us, was a wonderful server and we felt so welcomed and happy to be here. I had a banana concoction that was so sweet and creamy. We both had chicken kebab with chips, I think. See pics. Everything was gorgeous, delish! Highly recommend. Modern, arty decor and menu! Craft beers and alcohol too. ALL VEGAN 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Went for lunch here after the York 10k on Sunday. Cannot rate this place high enough. Food was delicious, huge portions, and service was spot on. The one guy serving was friendly, helpful, and speedy. It was just such a good place. Can't wait to go again!

We found this vegan restaurant on Happy cow, we didn't know the area as we were in York for a couple of days. OMG the food was absolutely amazing & really wished the owners would open a restaurant in Hertfordshire/cambridge as I would be a regular. The staff are super friend especially Paul. My favourite was the festive special which I think the restaurant should keep all year round it was that amazing. Thank you to the staff for a nice experience.

Wow what a perfect spot! The food from here is amazing! Even though I'm not a vegan, and this really does beat 90% of other traditional burger and chicken spots. The food is so fresh and delicious and am told is full of protein! The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for date nights. Can't recommend this place enough!

Just tried the Berliner kebab and was really impressed; flavours were great, and unlike most vegan places, there was plenty of food. Also nice that everything came in cardboard and foil rather than plastic/polystyrene. Fries were a bit grim, but that might be to do with the 45 minutes they spent in the Deliveroo rider's bag

My son wanted to try some vegan food while we were at Spark this afternoon, so I ordered the "chicken" kiev wrap for him. Now, we did have a bit of a grumble about how long it took to arrive, but it's hard to begrudge them for being popular and they did make it right by bringing us a big bag of sweets! The food was delicious, it was too much for my son to finish so I helped him. It was great and I think I'll be ordering from Doner Summer for myself the next time we go to Spark.

As a non-vegan, I can't help but rave about the food from Döner Summer! It is probably my favourite street food place I've been to. Honestly, the fact that they nail the taste and texture of the faux meat is the least part of the story. All their dishes are delicious, generously portioned, and look absolutely scrumptious! Where other places might've stopped at a few pickles and a generic salad, here you get a veritable bouquet of fresh greens, spring onions, seeds, beans, cabbage, etc depending on the dish. The presentation is fantastic, making you eager to chow down. One note of caution: good food takes time and depending how busy they are, there might be a bit of a wait for everything to be ready. So enjoy your drink (they offer a selection of good craft beers) and wait to get called up. If you're in a rush for the bus, maybe pick a different time to visit. Another note: their menu changes up. I'm sad to have missed out on their frankfurters (hope they come back!) but made it in time to try the honey butter chick'n (in the pic). So visit often!

An absolute favourite of mine. Always delicious and always swift with delivery in these weird times! Once deliveroo went down while I ordered and they even called us up to tell us and offer us to come and collect and gave us extra goodies:) The vegan wings are my favourite takeaway food and the different sauces and flavours always brings something new. Everything on the menu is fabulous. The special edition boxes that pop up are always my fave - I love the variety of things they bring! Thanks for being awesome :)

One of the best vegan fast food stalls that I have ever been to! So flavoursome, hardly any grease, an abundance of fresh vegetables and delicious flavours! Can recommend to both meat eaters and vegetarian/vegan!

The food is delicious! The prices are fair and the staff are lovely. We've tried vegan food in many different countries and this is up there with the best. We had the Shwarma Teller and Bad Girl Kebab Wrap and it was delicious. The grapefruit beer is well worth a try. 👍🏼

First off I should say that this place has only been open a couple of weeks so they might fix some of my issues after being open a bit. I ordered the falafel doner ( or whatever it is called) but even though I was inside they refused to take my order directly and made me order on the internet, which took 10 minutes and cost me an extra 50p ( processing fee) why I don't know. Also I tried to ask what the different types of bread that I had to choose between were, but I was ignored, and it didn't explain on their website. So I chose at random and received what was essentially an open salad sandwich with no sauce, the veg had not even been washed properly as I kept biting on pieces of grit. I have to admit however that the only thing they actually cooked was nice, the falafel, just not enough. So I paid £8 for an open, dry, salad sandwich, which was in a very nice box. I don't think I will be going back.

Previously my favourite place to eat in York. Great food but sadly the service has declined so much I will not be returning. Tried to eat there today. Queued for 20mins despite there only being 2 people in front of me in the line. When I finally placed my order the card reader was unable to recognise my card (not a problem with my card as I had no problem using it elsewhere today). When I offered to pay cash I was told they could not accept a cash payment even though I had exact money. I asked the girl at the counter if she would mind waiting 30 seconds whilst I grabbed an alternative bank card from.my family who had ordered from another of Spark's stalls a few yards away. Instead I was made to join the back of what now an even longer queue to place my order again. Having waited another 20 mins I was still queueing when my family had finished their meals from the stall next door. Not wanting to keep them waiting for me any longer I gave up hope of ever getting served and left hungry and very disappointed. As I was leaving I noticed that the gentleman in front when I was first queueing had only just been called to collect his food over 40 mins after ordering it. Sadly it would appear this poor service is not a result of social distancing as I had a very similar experience there before lockdown started which I had just assumed was a one-off bad day. But now it appears this incredibly poor service has become the norm. I will not be returning because as good as the food is, it is not worth standing around for the best part of an hour waiting for it.

Me and my partner got kebabs from here and went to eat them in the university grounds next to the geese. It was lovely. Excellent food and the beers are interesting. The helpful lady who served me said she would serve from the side enterance so I would have to que to get into the food court. Made me feel special. Definitely my favourite take away

Amazing! Only a few days ago did I go to the Döner Summer in Leeds but I tried the Fava Balle Wrap instead of the Fried Chick'n Combo Platter this time. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, couldn't ask for any more really.

Absolutely amazing guilt free kebabs and extras, absolutely love this place. Great to grab a quick bite, I even managed to stagger halfway across York on a night out just to get one. Taken none vegans and they've loved it too.
