The waiter was very aggressive, overwhelmed by crowded guests. I literally just said "Excuse me! Hello?" to get the menu and he started shouting at me. I ordered the food anyways and it came out with a bunch of black threads. After I showed it to the waiter, he just took my food and gave me a new one, without saying sorry or giving any explanation. He never came to our table to ask how we like our drinks and food, and charged everything. Including the food that came out first with bunch of threads inside. Never heard any words about the threads. Very unpleasant experience. I would never go there again or recommend this place, even to my worst enemy.

Although it is the nicest location to sit at the lake, and the staff is stressed but polite and nice as well, the quality of food and drinks is really horrible. Not even the classic „weißer Spritzer“ is drinkable. Let alone the soups or mains. Literally the only thing that is ok is fries and beer. So if you want to eat or drink, make sure to go somewhere else. If you just want to enjoy the view you’re good here. It’s really a pity that such a wonderful location is wasted on such a bad gastronomy.

I normally never give bad rewievs but I was there tonight with my family and I ordered a Lachs dish. There was a big worm in my salad, they were nice about it and offered to bring me a new one with no cost. I politely declined for them to bring me a new one. My cousin had the same dish as me and the salad was the same, she couldn't eat it because she was disgusted. Normally because of Kulanz they should've at least given a discount to my cousin. She had the same salad from the same bowl (probably) and she ate just a potato before all of this happened. They refused to either give a small discount or give it to her for free. It wasn't even about the money, it was about the principal. She took a dessert also so it really wasn't about money. Other than that the service was good and fast, they apologized more times. I would've just liked to see more understanding in this situation from the bigger "boss".

Fantastic location, close to the Bay Area of Bregenz and the city (small) center and the famous pfänderbahn (a 15-20 min walk). Not too pricy unless you’re looking for 10€ lunch which you won’t find here. Make a reservation to get a good place. Great local unfiltered beer called Martinus Bier. Enjoy !

Great food, great staff and beautiful location at the lake. Edit: A year later, everything is still the same. Which is a good and rare thing. The food was great and the service was quick and friendly. The location is certainly adding to the experience of course. A bit pricey but it isn't every night, right!?

Absolutely amazing restaurant with great views on lake Constance. We came here with a bachelor party and the service was absolutely amazing. Very funny staff, really nice food and delicious food. Good presentation of the food too. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant to everybody!

The Food and Location was perfect, also the prices are reasonable. The only thing I really have to say is the cleanliness of the menu cards etc.. The menu cards were filthy and disgusting and have to be cleaned urgently because they are dirty and full of fat so the sites of the menu are sticking to your hands. So please clean your menu cards or get new ones because that is not acceptable. The Tablecloth in the outside are was also not clean . And when you have cutlery for every table, please make sure they are clean so it's not embarrassing for us to ask for fresh ones. But even with hygienic aspect, it was worth it every euro we spent there.

Food was really good, service was excellent, very professional staff. Location was super.So it's highly recommended, a must-try when in Bregenz.

The food was delicious! Excellent pork schnitzel, great ofenkartoffel and heise liebe. Service was also perfect and the views were lovely. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.!

We had lunch in this restaurant on out way from Munich to Milan. Unfortunately the day was quite cold and windy so we had to sit inside. The choices are several and we opted for some typical Austrian food. I got the beef cheek and my wife got the wiener schnitzel and a carrot soup. All food was well done and delicious. Service ok.

Our experience on this restaurant was absolutely shocking. Family visited us from the Philippines and immediately thought of this restaurant because we know that the food is good and the atmosphere as well. Everything took a bad turn when the waiter started arguing with my Aunt about where to sit. There was 3 tables available outside so it was perfect, but for some reason he started yelling at my aunt and telling her to listen to him. My Aunt firmly said, no, we want to sit here. After that he started to clean our table. The disrespect, the rudeness of this waiter was just soo bad! He removed the glass and plates from our table like we weren’t there. The way he changed the table cloth. It literally hit us. After that he ignored us, after that we asked him if he could give us the menu, he told us to wait and proceeds to talking to his waiter friend. They both laughed at us. They were just a few feet away from us. The disrespect and racism from this guy was unacceptable. That’s when we decided to just leave. If you let your workers be this disrespectful towards people then this is on you!

The most interesting part of this restaurant is the view of the lake. And the views are indeed stunning. The service was also amazing. The food was also pretty good. All in all, a good place for a nice dinner with a view of Lake Konstanz.

Didn't go here to eat. Although it Looks amazing. My son and his Fiancee might hold their wedding reception here. Ideal location for all ocassions...

This beautiful location by the lake was such a letdown. We requested a high chair for our 8-month-old so that we could eat lunch together as a family of four, and this is what we received. The waiter sincerely intended to explain that it is that way just because it is white. We made the decision to leave after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to take our order.

I was with my friend there today, and the highlight was the waiter Valeri 🤩 such a warm, vibrant, and full of life person! We had such an interesting conversation about cold showers and ice baths, so so glad I ve met him! Greatest of luck to u!

Fantastic cream of asparagus soup and pork schnitzel. I don't believe they ever understood that I was asking for an alcoholic cider, I was served a giant glass of apple juice. 😁 Lots of cigarette smoke on the patio. Location was great, would have been beautiful if it wasn't pouring.

The location is marvelous, of course - we were delighted by the delicious salads, soups and the Apfelkuchle - each dish presented beautifully, and the creative twists on traditional local dishes like Leberknödelsuppe are fantastic. My wife and I made a stopover at Bregenz on our way to Innsbruck and further on - just one evening/night. Fortunately, we found this lovely restaurant, "Wirtshaus am See". We had dinner there, Austrian backhendl (baked chicken), mixed grill, and strudel and mousse for dessert, all of which we enjoyed immensely. The place may be a little pricy, but the lakeside location and the cosy interior are definitely worth a visit. The entire staff seemed very friendly, and our waitress, Sabrina, was particularly charming (she certainly deserves an extra five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). Highest marks!

Lovely restaurant well located where the Center of action in open air Theatre in Bregenz. Clean toilet, lovely interiors. The food was good but not the staffs! I think they’re overloaded with many guests, over worked and the staffs can’t smile at you anymore! Lovely to sit down outside and see the gorgeous view of Bodensee and Theatre! This place gets crowded most of the time in summer! I would come back for the food and ambience!
