5-29-2022: late morning brunch and only 15-minutes wait (You can reserve). My wife got the Berry French Toast and I got the Lobster Benedict with rosemary fries! 5-5-2022: stressful day for both my wife and I only answer try somewhere you have not been. I’ve drove by a hundred times and always looks busy. I miss judged… few parking places out front so it looks crowded however the is plenty of room in and outside. Lots of parking out back. Great atmosphere and very comfortable seating (I a 4XL guy). Very clean and upscale casual. Food is top level with portions, presentation, and favor. Service is excellent (thank you Ms. Any T.)!

Came on a double date and was absolutely blown away! The menu was smaller than I expected but everything was phenomenal and our server… Savannah?? (I hope that’s her name). Was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in speaking. Top tier customer service and experience here!

Overall, a pleasant experience but after reading so many glorious reviews I expected more. The service was nice. We were seated promptly ( though they were busy). The waitress was friendly but it took her a while to bring straws. My husband asked her for butter, she never brought it. My son had shrimp and grits and said they were exceptionally good. I had smoked salmon tartine and it was decent. The food presentation was nice. It didn’t take very long before the food was served ( though they were really busy).

What an amazing experience!!! Make sure you make reservations!!! This place was super busy must mean it’s super good?! Had reservations at 8pm on a Saturday. Arrived a little earlier so our table was quite ready. Went to the bar and lucky enough was a few seats available to sit and have a drink. My wife had a extra dirty martini that was out of this word along with my spicy margarita. Once our our table was ready we were seated. No appetizers for us we went straight to ordering our entrees. We had the lobster roll, fillet and the GL burger. The lobster roll was mine and it was delicious. The only negative I can say it was dry. Needs more sauce/mayo or a side of basil mayo to put on it! After that it was perfect. The GL burger was cooked to perfection and the fillet was so great you could cut with a spoon. Perfect all round experience for my birthday. Definitely would return.

Had lunch with a new friend, this was the perfect location. The menu has a unique touch that I have not seen anywhere. Their choices from appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and amazing dinners is worth the visit. Our hostess, waitress, and staff were friendly and helpful. Their meals can come in half sizes too!

Amazing service and food. Make reservations because it was packed. We arrived 45 minutes earlier than our reservation time, and the only inside table available was a high top next to the bar. They have a beautiful outdoor section, but it was just too hot for us. When the server asked if it was our first time and we said yes, she insisted on finding us a nicer table inside and moved us to a more spacious area. The George Fries were to die for…perfectly crispy and full of flavor with all the toppings and sauces. The sausage on the fries was quite spicy, but delicious! My husband said the salmon cake appetizer was wonderful. He also had the angus burger and loved it. You could tell they are careful not to mix the meat up too much because it was crumbly soft and very juicy. I had the quiche, which was freshly baked with the best croissant-like flaky crust. We would’ve loved to try all the other menu selections like the shrimp and grits and bread pudding dish. This is a MUST if you’re staying anywhere near Pensacola. I’ll be craving those fries next time I order Aussie fries at Outback 🥴.

I just keep coming back, it's consistently amazing! My most recent visit was for a date night with my wife and we simply had a fabulous time. The food was fresh and delicious, the drinks were smooth and the atmosphere as always was pleasant and sophisticated. I have yet to be disappointed at George Bistros and promise if you go you will love your experience. A couple food highlights, the octopus starter is amazing! Super tender and flavorful. The seasonal grouper is also fantastic, highly recommend both of these!

Excellent cuisine as usual. Our server was fabulous. She was attentive and helpful with knowledge of our choices. I was unsure of my drink choice but it was unique but so tasty. I’ll definitely order that again! The grouper over spaghetti squash tasted delicious. My son in law enjoyed his whole fish snapper (pretty evident) the octopus was delicious and cooked perfectly, and the short rib mushroom ravioli (always a go to) was yummy as usual!

Fine dining at it’s finest. If you’re looking to impress a fine palette, look no further. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is made with professionalism, and your taste buds will thank you, not just your date. The important things are in the fine details, so being able to come here with no reservation, having warm bread with the Beef Carpaccio, and the amazing cocktails with unique combinations will make you want to come back again. Come here with an expectation of a good time. I know I’ll be coming back.

George Bistro is one of the best restaurants in Pensacola. The food is fantastic. The drinks are delicious. The staff are all excellent and friendly and they seem to work very well together. I recommend George for Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner, or even just for cocktails and a treat at the bar. We have been several times and will continue to come for the wonderful food, drinks, and service!

Let me start out by saying the food here is excellent. My mom purchased the lobster roll and said it’s the best she’s ever had. I ordered the artichoke appetizer which was phenomenal, but I’m not sure if it’s quite worth the price for the amount of artichokes you receive. The crab cakes were also delicious, and the price was more easily justified for those! Now, I understand it’s one of those more upscale restaurants where the portions are smaller and the price is higher. Now the atmosphere is great if you don’t mind crowded seating and loud venues. However, the tables are very close together, and you can hear everyone’s conversations around you. We went around peak lunch time, so I imagine when you go at a different time it might not be so loud and claustrophobic. I’ve been to many fancy restaurants, however, this one just seemed stuffy and too preppy. The waitress seemed stuck in her ways and did not care that we asked for my appetizer to come out with my mom’s meal, nor did she care that we asked for my mom’s meal to be brought as soon as possible since we were on a time crunch to get to the airport. The appetizers were brought first and THEN she put in my mom’s main course order. She then didn’t provide us with correct change and when the manager approached, she was adamant that it’s important customers are not short changed. However, she didn’t bother correcting the mistake, so does she really feel as though correct change is important? More than likely, not. Overall, if you’re into hip restaurants and great food, this is the place for you!

This is such a lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, every dish we have tried is delicious. Especially their bone marrow appetizer. Cocktails are beautifully presented and hit the spot every time. The wait staff is also extremely professional and friendly. Shout out to Kylie for her grace and kindness on Mother’s Day and George today for lunch! Yes I went two days in a row 😬 it’s that good. Can’t wait to keep visiting and trying new items on the menu.

A great find while visiting Pensacola. We had Sunday brunch at this hidden gem and it was fantastic. We were a big party and the service was great too! Our favorites were the banana foster latte( sounds weird but trust me, delicious), the appetizer of whipped ricotta with pear and roasted pumpkin seeds, the fresh garden omelette with goat cheese, the avocado bowl, lobster eggs Benedict and the French toast. A short drive from Pensacola Beach and all six of us loved it! Highly recommend.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! My husband and I went here for lunch after flying in from Arkansas. Let me just tell ya, we could easily eat here for every meal of our entire five days here and not get tired of it. He got the short ribs and mushroom ravioli and I feel like I'll be dreaming about it for months to come. I got the Alfredo pappardelle with grilled shrimp and scallops and it was also delicious. We loved both, but the short rib mushroom ravioli was out of this world!!!!! We also had the mini crab cake appetizer, and while they were also good, I would skip them and savor the meal if I had it to do again. The main dishes were so good that it's currently 10pm and I'm eating leftovers which are still heavenly. Zackery was our waiter and he was great! I HIGHLY recommend giving George Bistro + Bar a try if you're in the area and looking for a fantastic meal.

Lunch with a friend at this local favorite is always a treat. The food and service is always consistent and great. The atmosphere is fun and the tables are a respectable distance apart. Today we had salads - one of us misread the menu on an ingredient and the server quickly replaced the meal with a smile. The food can be a little pricey for lunch- however- you know you will get a great meal and service- so you get what you pay for. It can also get a little loud inside the restaurant at times.

Absolutely the best Brunch I have ever had. From the drinks to the service and food, everything was perfect! The food was so savory & delicious, I can't wait to go back for more. Make sure to make a reservation or you will not get a table for brunch. 10/10 AAA+++

The food was great and the waitress was awesome! I’m not a strong coffee drinker but the coffee was very weak. Surprisingly, this restaurant is geared towards upstarts, so I would think the coffee would have been a little stronger. My friend loves this kind of restaurants but I’m more on the practical side. Our bill was $59 plus 20% tip (minimum). Is it priced right? I think so because you’re also paying for its name.

Having celebrated my birthday dinner here last year, I was so happy with the exceptional dining experience that I decided to make it a birthday tradition. This time, I opted for brunch, and once again, this venue surpassed my expectations. Despite being very busy on both occasions, the service remained impeccable. The staff, particularly my waitress and waiter, demonstrated a great level of professionalism and attentiveness that made this a wonderful experience. The food here is unparalleled to most restaurants in the area. For brunch, I had the Heirloom Tomato + Burrata, Brunch Burger, and Very Berry French Toast. Each dish was a masterpiece, crafted with precision and a commitment to flavor perfection. All contributed to a brunch that was nothing short of extraordinary. Also, you must try the Bone Marrow on the dinner menu. It is Heaven! This place has undoubtedly secured it’s spot as one of my favorite dining spots in the area. The consistently exceptional food quality, paired with the top-notch service, makes it a standout choice for any occasion. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to experience the culinary excellence George’s Bistro has to offer. It's more than just a meal; it's a celebration of flavors that will leave you eager to return for more!

I cannot say enough about this place! I can never decide what to eat when coming because everything on the menu is incredible and cooked to perfection! The service is fantastic and it’s fine dining at its finest. I’ve been there on a date and the last time I went I went with a group of friends who ranted and raved about how it was a great suggestion and how much they loved it as well. I will certainly be back. I’ve never had a bad experience. Thank you George’s for making every experience I have had there a great one!😊

My boyfriend and I went here for a late birthday lunch and it was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, but the food and drinks were immaculate. Everything was hot, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items

This was my husband and I first time here. We’ve past this place so many times and said we was going to try it out and when I tell you we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, great vibes, love the music 🎶, the ambiance was great, the service was great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and customer service was awesome. The food 👍🏽👏🏽, the seasoning was to perfection not too little and not too much. The pricing is not bad either, it was well worth the money spent. Definitely, definitely will be back and one of my husband and I top picks for Best Restaurants here in Pensacola.

Had dinner at George last night and it was INCREDIBLE!!! This was the first time we’ve been there and it definitely will not be the last. We started out our meal with the fig and pear ricotta. Oh Wow, what an amazingly decadent little surprise that was! We also had an order of the crab cakes which were absolutely delicious. But the star of our meal was our main course. My husband and I decided to split an entree and we decided on the braised short ribs and mushroom ravioli. Holy full of flavor batman! The ribs were rich and moist, the ravioli was cooked to perfection and the glaze brought it all together. It was by far one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten! Our waitress Amy was super friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was laid back but upscale. Perfect for a date night. Cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu, hopefully next time leave room for dessert!😃👍

Drove two hours to meet friends and decided on this restaurant because of reviews. It did not disappoint. Appetizers of bone marrow and octopus were delicious. They have a main vegetable dish, with kale, that is so filling and tasteful. I enjoyed the scallops with all the garnish. The pecan pie was amazing! Enjoyed trying new foods!

Second time visiting and the key here is to get here early if you don’t want to wait for a table or call ahead. The staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly. We came for the Sunday brunch and left very full and satisfied. I ordered the savory bread pudding Benedict and it was great. Bread pudding was slightly sweet with two perfectly poached eggs, hollandaise sauce was tangy. Massive amount of rosemary fries that I barely dipped in the ketchup and I’m a ketchup guy. The wife ordered the crab cake Benedict with cheese grits. She said the crab cakes were awesome, not too greasy and they had a nice crab taste. Her only complaint was they could have put some more sauce over the eggs. She said the grits were and nice and cheeses but could have used some seasoning. Overall very good meal. Waitress checked on us several times during our meal and kept our drinks refilled. Very good experience.

Everything tasted so amazing! I wish I could remember our servers name... he was so nice and very attentive. My favorite drink was the seasonal "infiggitable" margarita! It had fig and ginger root... it was a great fall flavored drink! The steak and lamb chops were cooked to perfection!

Exceptional experience, we were promptly seated, although they were busy! We were served quickly, I tried there coffee. It had great flavor. I selected Shrimp and Grits for my meal. It was full of flavor and had plenty of shrimp! I enjoyed every bite, the cheese was really generous and brought the dish together well!

Their menu is amazing! I had so much difficulty choosing. I loved the fried artichoke! The savory bread pudding is genius. I liked the fig and pear ricotta, but wish it came with grilled fig and pear slices on the side. Sorry, I ate the appetizers before I took pictures 🤷🏾‍♀️

Food is really good! Lots of inventive and tasty craft cocktails. Indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a bit noisy due to being rather small and always busy. Service is good. If they have the halibut special, don’t miss it!

Loved it. The heirloom tomatoes & burrata was amazing. I ate every bite & didn't share with my husband. The braised short rib with mushroom ravioli in a demi glacé was nothing short of perfect. Our server was sweet, professional & fast. We booked a table online right before heading out for the 15 minute drive across town.

Great place to eat if you’re looking for something modern and seasonal! I always get the blueberry lemon mule as my starter cocktail. My fiancé had the lamb chops and he loved them! One of our favorite places in town for a nice dinner.

George is our go to place for a quick bite, or special meal. Service is always great! Food is consistent and great. I love having a nice dining option in Uptown. Pictures is the short rib ravioli. It was the most recent pic I had from last night. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The service and food is always amazing. I love sitting outside when I go here. This was my second time going to George's Bistro. My dad and I were running some errands, and when deciding on where to eat I suggested George's Bistro. It was my dad's first time going, and it did not disappoint. We went during their brunch menu. He ordered the shrimp and grits, and let me try some. It was amazing! I got the eggs benedict, which was also yummy, though part of me still thinks back to that order of French toast I almost ordered. I forgot the name of our appetizer (I'm sorry). The inside is nice, but I've always just preferred sitting outside. They tend to be busy, but have different parking options next door and around the building.

  • 5/5 Stratton A. 1 year ago on Google
It's a classy but noisy cafe, so loud conversations aren't a problem. The ribeye was well cooked to medium-rare, average tenderness, with good flavor but a little heavy on the salt. Rosemary fries were good, especially mixed with the juices from the steak. Berry salad was delicious. Strawberries, blackberries, nuts, a little vinagerrete, and some delicious cheese with spring mix made a great combination. Wait staff were friendly and just the right amount of attentive without being annoying.

  • 5/5 Jennie A. 11 months ago on Google
Traditional southern atmosphere with a modern flair. It was loud inside but you could still hear those nearby and your server. Scratch style kitchen both food and beverage ordered was excellent.

This place has the most amazing atmosphere and service. My husband and I sat at the bar and our bartender was absolutely amazing. She described the dishes (which were multiple) with great detail and convinced me to get the potato and cucumber soup. I also had crab cakes, they were the standard breaded with a drizzled sauce over the top, still good. My husband had shrimp, which I tried, I will say it is the best I had in town, and I am not a huge fan of shrimp. The best part was the amazing specialty cocktails. One of our cocktails was a pistachio dessert cocktail that our waitress had just made up and would be going on the menu. It tastes very similar to baklava in drink form with a delicious creamy texture. I would absolutely recommend this drink and restaurant!

Hands down the classiest and best dining experience ever. Best on the Coast.! The service ( ask for Gabby) was beyond excellent. Smiles everywhere and a genuine effort to take care of customers. The food is so freaking tasty and delicious . You will savor every bite!!! There’s no doubt on why this place wins all the awards. Chef George is an Artist
