This is the best public beach I have ever been to! Convenient public parking across the street, easy access bathroom and showers which include foot wash shower heads. The sand is immaculate, one would think it is sifted daily. The texture of the sand feels like brown sugar. There is a children's play area with a sun shade.

Great place to stop by and walk around the boardwalk! It was really organized and the beach is well maintained! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Gulf Shores area!

We visited for spring break and delighted to see that it was not crowded like we anticipated. The weather was 75-80⁰ during the day and 60⁰at night. It was warm enough for shorts and t- shirt daily then a light jacket at night. The Gulf was cool but enjoyable after warming up in the sun. The water had small waves that my 8 and 9 yr old girls had a blast with! Plenty of eateries close by to walk straight from the beach to a bite to eat! It is fun for all ages!

Wife spent a few hours on the beach this morning. I didn’t stay long. It is near 100 degrees today. Nice white beach and parking nearby for $5 for four hours. Reasonable to visit.

Beautiful clean white sandy beach. Not as many sea shells as Cotton Bayou but how am I supposed to know what a reasonable amount of shells one should expect at any beach. What I'm trying to say is this was a nice beach and we had lots of fun spending the day building sand castles and running into the waves. I'm certain you will too!

Very nice and clean! Umbrella and chair rental right there. Nice walkway down to beach. Place to rinse off and a restroom was also close by. Lifeguards we’re on duty. The water was clear and warm! Docked one star because they need a lot more parking.

Beautiful area. Gets busy obviously but if your an early riser you can get the beach to yourself. Great waves. Fantastic sand. Only downfall is no dogs allowed.

The beach is one of the cleanest beaches with soft sand. Easy parking access to the public beaches. Spending the day here is a must with not so crowded and plenty of space to enjoy even during peak season. We stayed at a RV park 6 miles down the road and have planned our next visit.

White sand, clean beach!!! Chair and umbrella rentals are available for $40/day if you need them. We just set our towels down and sat on them, and that worked fine. Some parts of the beach are better for small children than others. The water gets too deep for toddlers quickly in some areas. Great sand for building sandcastles! The water is clear most of the time, so you can see small schools of fish swimming past you, which is really cool. There are places available to rinse the sand off when you're ready to leave.

Sexy women everywhere. Beach very clean. Thong bikinis allowed. Volleyball nets. Seashells. Big ocean miles long with life guards on duty. Friendly environment. Alcohol not allowed on the beach. Lots of police. Will go back someday. I really enjoyed myself here.

This has been the best trip ! Perfect weather, less traffic and the wait times were not to bad at local restaurants. Will definitely be planning next stay for late September. Water temperature was perfect and seafood was delicious

Gulf Shores beach is an absolute paradise! The sunsets are breathtaking and the fact that we had the entire beach basically to ourselves made it an even more special experience. The sand was soft and white, which was the perfect contrast to the blue waters. It's the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of nature. I highly recommend this beach to anyone looking for a serene and picturesque getaway. Five stars!

Yes, of course it was windy and cold. Beautiful weather, the beach is gorgeous white. The water is mesmerizing. No people, traffic, or trash. I enjoyed myself tremendously.

Beautiful beach with white sands. Surprised my son for the first time to the beach for his 6th birthday and happy that we chose Gulf Shores! Lots of trash cans but inconsiderate people young and old will still litter but seen random thoughtful people walking pick up the trash to keep the beach clean. It gets busy but plenty of space to spread out and not feel elbow to elbow. After 4pm it settles down and the sunset is worth the sunburns! The boardwalk is amazing with lots of places to eat and shop and folks who live in town are kind with southern hospitality. Those out of town, especially young folks are rude and entitled tourists but I'm sure that's pretty common during spring break. Foley is quiet a town and gonna do some historical downtown shopping on a rainy day! Have a wonderful trip!

Absolutely beautiful here the beaches are so clean and the water see through. Go out about 5am to 6am and the dolphins alone are enough to enjoy your trip.

This is one of the cleanest, well taken care of beaches I've seen. The sand is like powder. Sidewalks and grassy areas. Plenty of restrooms, benches to sit on and shaded areas. Showers to get the sand off. Lots of room for everyone. A hidden treasure.

Gulf Shores public beach is beautiful. It has a few paying parking lots close to the beach, with a pretty little park, plenty of bathrooms, and a long promenade with benches scattered around. It also has restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance. Love to walk it during all seasons, except during the summer as is very crowded. It's not a pet friendly beach, but the park and promenade are.

Great beach to go to with your family. Sand is very clean and fine like powdered sugar. There's bathrooms, showers and volleyball ball courts along with a small playground.

Normally I'm not a public beach guy just because of how crowded I've seen them. However, the public access beach off West Beach Blvd was an exception. I was there on July 4th and it wasn't anymore crowded than the beachs at the luxury condos I've stayed at in the same area. We had a house on the Bay Side and it was super beautiful and convenient. Changed my perspective for sure.

OMG!!!! After multiple times of driving thru Gulf Shores to get to Florida, I now realize that's fine, but if you truly want the relaxation of the Beach with the occasional dining out experience, souvenirs, and beach activities? Gulf Shores is the place for me!! Everyone was so nice and the beach was clean. There was constant consistent patrolling but done as much under the radar as possible. We stayed at the Crystal Shores Condominiums with our own beach access, pools inside and out, hot tub, gym, and game room. Yet because the weather was made to order while there? We didn't use any of the amenities as the Gulf was what we came for. We enjoyed our first stay so much that we're already talking about next year and only been home one day!! Thank you Gulf Shores Public Beach for the sand, water, fun in the sun, and many new memories!β›±πŸŒŠπŸ’•

Best place to park if you're looking for a public bathroom nearby. Hard to find access to any other restroom unless you're staying at a hotel. Plenty of things to go see and do within walking distance from here as well.

My husband and I loved this beach. We have seen prettier beaches in Florida, but Gulf Shores definitely did not disappoint. It was better than expected for it to be in Alabama. VERY CLEAN! Trash cans are everywhere, so please continue to keep the beaches clean by cleaning up after yourself. The water was a bit murky on the first day we went, but on the second and last day, it was so clear and beautiful. We saw birds fishing and even a dolphin a few times. This beach is within walking distance of several shops and eateries. Parking is limited, and you must pay to park or risk being ticketed. Very relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. This is a VERY family-friendly beach.

Wonderful place to watch people fishing and family hanging out on the pier. The view of the beach are fabulous. Most exciting thing was when the fisherman caught big Great Jacks and saw sharks.

We were there for a week and couldn't get on the beach, because they were dredging all along the west shores.. Heavy equipment and loud noises even at night. Not a great time to celebrate our 58th anniversary.

Even on a Sunday, the beach wasn't crowded. Not so great prices for parking. The machines are placed throughout the parking area And there's immediate access to restrooms and rinse stations. Plenty of local restaurants and shops for refuel if needed

The Gulf Shores public beach at the intersection of Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy 59) and West Beach Blvd is one of the nicest white sand beaches I've ever visited. The beach is very deep, making tons of room for everyone, and the boardwalk is really nice with its cool shade awnings, grassy areas, picnic tables, shower stations, and recently updated restrooms. Plus, there are several good beachside restaurants that you can walk to for some food, beverages, and fun things to do for the kids. The whole town of Gulf Shores is a cool little beach town with a laid back vibe and friendly locals who want to make your stay enjoyable.

I went for sunrise & was not disappointed. Bring a card to pay for parking. I’d say between 5-8am there were no more than 15 people that walked passed.

Beautiful beach. November can be pretty cool (chilly at night), but the water temp was still super comfortable and hard to stay out of.

Our family loves the public beach at Gulf Shores. The city does a great job at keeping the beach clean. Usually a chill, family vibe. Life guards are present and there are clean public restrooms.

Beautiful Beach, easy access public parking with restrooms. There were a lot of jelly fish but no one got stung. The water was clear enough to see them very well.

The beach here is lovely! Our children found so many seashells just washed up! The water was cool and clear and we had a blast swimming and just lounging on the beach! It was also super clean!
