    I been getting oil changes here for my truck for years. The prices are cheap. I am always happy with there services. The staff is friendly, nice and professional. I love the lady manager there. She is a plant mom like me. It always a joy to see her beauitful plants!!! 😁

    If you're planning to wait while your vehicle is serviced, AVOID THIS LOCATION. They disregard scheduled appointments and do not respect your time. I had a 9:00am (first of the day) oil change appointment I booked online a week ahead of time. Got there a few minutes early. After a 25-minute (!!!) check-in process, collecting the same info I entered online, they let me know it would take 3 hours for the oil change to be done. Apparently the online system isn't connected to their schedule and "completely overbooks" them so it's "impossible" to do anything at the appointment time. They told me I shouldn't expect to wait less than two hours regardless of any appointment/time. I left without the oil change and will not be trying NTB again.

    I had a fantastic experience with the folks here at NTB! I came in today in a bit of an emergency situation. My van filled with my wife and young kids and a dead battery so we could not turn the car off. Ironically we were on our way to pick up our other car from a different shop before they closed. The service reps stopped what they were doing to check our battery and alternator, confirm we needed a new battery, and installed it and got us on our way in record time. The gentlemen who did the replacement was on his way out the door to head home when he stopped and said he would take care of it before he left. Thank you all for helping me and my family out!!!

    Dropped off my vehicle for an appointment at 10:00am for oil change, and tire rotation. Returned to it pick up at the scheduled time of 5:00pm. Just to learn they haven’t even start to do the work. One word to the level of carelessness.”, “Wow”.

    This place is terrible. I brought my car here for an alignment, tire rotation and oil. They told me they could have it done by the end of the day. I go to pick up my car after it being here for over 4 hours and I’m told that they could not complete the service I brought my car in for. Christina at the front desk is completely incompetent. I called at 3pm an hour before they closed to check on the status of my car repair because I had not heard anything… I was told that the technician has not even started on my car… it was at that time that I should have been told that they did not have enough staff to complete my repair… I’m stead Christina chose to be shady and only half way complete the service I requested after wasting my entire day. Please don’t waste your time here, they do not do alignments or appointments and will lie to you to swindle you into spending SOME type of money there!… and then the trifling lazy technicians who don’t even know how to rotate tires did not eve reset my oil life warning on my dashboard. This place is absolute trash. I feel completely scammed.

    Great experience here. Came in for a tire patch with out an appointment and Ms. D took good care of me. She was very kind and respectful which was welcomed on a Monday morning. I'll definitely come back!!!

    Saw the reviews and thought I would go here for a wheel alignment. Called and setup an appointment. Got there on time. Hate to leave a bad review but… - Wasn’t greeted upon entering (in fact, no one was at the desk) - Lack of staff (is there a manager or at least, someone with experience?) - Waited 2 hours (and would have waited more if professionalism was shown) - Being busy is understandable, especially a Saturday and with current world conditions, but being attentive to customers is important - Overall, I’m sure the people are great and it could have been a better experience, but it just wasn’t on this particular day (other customers expressed this at the time - some were rescheduled and/or canceled their appointments).

    National, Tire, and Battery, Hyattsville, Maryland. I had a great experience with the staff and was very satisfied with the service. I took my car in on November 24, 2023 and my service was completed on November 25, 2023 in the morning. I would recommend National Tire and Battery without reservation. Received a great deal on my tires.

    I made an appointment to get four new tires. It still took them six hours to replace my tires and in the process, they broke one of my tire pressure sensors. I've been to other NTB's and they've been fine. This one is horrible. Steer clear.

    We needed a tire replaced and scheduled an appointment for first thing Sunday morning. The issue is the NTB website allowed us to book an appointment for 8 am and we found out the store didn’t open until 9. The staff took care of us at 9, replaced the tire and refilled my flat spare in under an hour. Appreciate the ladies and the gentleman at the front desk for handling everything so efficiently.

    Always a 2-3 hour wait even for the simplest things like an oil change. Can’t call without being put on hold indefinitely. I get it’s an area with lots of demand but surely could do better than this.

    DO NOT make an appointment online- the scheduling system has almost no communication with the actual location. I made an appointment at 2 on a Sunday and not only did they not have my tires, it would have been a 2 hour wait for them to even get started. I had to come back the next day and I still didn’t get a clear time on when to come in (I was told around noon the day before) and had to keep calling all day until Alex finally told me to come in about 1.5 hours before close. Always call first and see if they have your tires in stock, then talk to someone at the location about when to come in or schedule your appointment with them. If you make an appointment online you WILL be disappointed and lose a day! Big thanks to Gary for getting my tire in the next day and being as helpful as he possibly could given the circumstances with short staffing and scheduling deficiencies.

    I got my tires changed, rotated, and an oil change at this NTB. The host was very friendly and attentive walking me through the check-in process. The service took longer than estimated, but it was done well and they helped me navigate choosing the wrong tire size.

    Unless you want to tear your hair out in frustration, I recommend you do not go to the NTB at 909 Chillum RD Hyattsville, MD. They were not able to keep an appointment I made, online for 6PM because they “close at 7.” I lost an entire day with my mother, who is dying, waiting for this appointment. Also the woman at the counter works at an unacceptably slow pace. (That’s putting it politely.) Also I don’t believe the five star ratings are real. The 1 star ratings are definitely real and very consistent, citing delays, slow work and missed appointments.

    Very friendly staff and service was relatively fast. Ben and Ms. D were helpful and assisted in getting the right information. Charles also was professional and provided an accurate time-line to complete the work. Overall, a good experience with NTB.

    Today was the third time I have had my appointments canceled. The first two times they at least called me the morning of to reschedule (still annoying), but today when I showed up, they asked me to reschedule. The last time I brought my car in for tire replacement, I was supposed to pick it up after hours because I got off of work after they closed, but when I arrived my car was locked inside their garage! I kept going back because of the tire protection plans, but not anymore. Just wanted to share my experience if anyone is looking for a reliable tire place, the only thing reliable about this place is that they will cancel your appointments!

    Why is it? I have to pay for a free alignment check first off there any men do the alignment just to check it that I needed parts they charge me for it which I never says anything in the description I will never in my life come to this location I regret not reading the reviews.

    I was ready to give a higher rating until I had a concern about the results. According to math that I learned, -1.5 is smaller than -1.3. From what I understand about alignment specifications, you are provided a minimum and maximum range where the final result is expected to be in between at best or on the edge of the range at worst. Is -1.5 not outside the range of -1.3 and -0.3? Are we not to expect that all of the values should be in green after an alignment is performed? At a minimum, I would expect the technician to make the adjustment to get it in specs or if the adjustment can not be made at that time of service, explain what needs to be done to get in spec for the next time of service. Nothing was communicated to me upon picking up my vehicle. Once I reviewed the results and had these concerns and attempted to inform and inquire with the sales associate, I was shut down as if my math is wrong and my concerns were not legitimate. I'll find another NTB for future service.

    We had our tires changed here a month ago - with immense difficulty over multiple appointments - and since then, our car has driven bumpily and unevenly, and one of the tire pressure sensors is broken. Before taking our car into NTB, none of this was a problem; we just wanted new tires. After being promised by NTB's customer service that our next experience would be better, we have tried on two separate occasions to have the sensor fixed and the tires checked. Despite having our appointment confirmed by the shop and listing out the reason why we were coming in, the store didn't even have equipment to check tire pressure during the first appointment, and during the second the equipment they did have was broken. We would expect a tire installation shop to be able to check something as simple as tire pressure, or to at least receive a phone call if they're unable to accommodate that request. Instead, we're disappointed and we'll be taking our car to a separate tire specialist, paying more money, to have our tires - improperly installed by NTB - checked out.

    I really liked the brand of bridgestone tires i got for my car. The shop itself its kind of a mess (hyattsville MD location). One i had to keep calling them to see if the tires arrive. They don’t call you unless you call honestly. Secondly after my tires were installed there was a scratched on my wrapped gloss black rims. It happened there at the shop. Yes I think NTB can be a little pricey and the way they provide service is really irresponsible. Anyway im not happy I honestly think they have a lot of potential but wouldn’t recommend to anyone i wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my car there.

    My preferred shop for any work on my tires. Haven't found a more convenient & accommodating place. If you're in first thing in the morning, you may expect to walk out with new tires in a couple of hours or less.

    I scheduled an appointment for an oil change, show up to my appointment 15min early, just to be told I would not be able to get it done at all that day due to an abundance of vehicles all ready there. Why are we even allowed to schedule appointments if the scheduled time cannot be honored? Furthermore, it would be at least appropriate to call your scheduled appointments and reschedule those that you will not be able to service, so that people may not waste their time, or at least provide a heads up so I as the client may choose my course of action appropriately. Complete waste of time. Poor customer service overall. It may be lighthearted for them that we are inconvenienced, but a true pain for me.

    We had an appointment for 9 am, rescheduled from when they could not honor our appointment 4 days ago. We had to wait over 2 hours for our truck to be serviced and then we were charged 3 times what we normally pay for an oil change. My husband spent over 3 hours here in total. The only reason we are giving 2 stars is for the thoroughness with which they checked our tire, which has a slow leak (though they couldn’t find one and the leak still exists). Update: within 12 hours oil was leaking everywhere. Took our truck back and the tech insisted it was because we had a leak, which he told my husband about AFTER he did the oil change. By Saturday we had to add a lot of oil. Took the truck to a Ford dealer, who discovered that the tech had installed the oil filter incorrectly and that we should get our money back from NTB. My husband is currently at NTB, where they refuse to believe the paperwork from Ford. Currently we are out the original $97 for the NTB oil change and $145 for Ford to clean up NTBs mess. Own your mistake, NTB. we had no leak until after your oil change. I guess it is back to Walmart oil changes for us.

    Would not recommend. Two failed appointments to get my car aligned. The first time I was informed the alignment machine broke. The second time they didn’t have capacity to do my car even though I scheduled an appointment at 10am. Why allow someone to make an appointment if you cannot provide the service?

    When you can get in, great service and thorough job on your vehicle. Never any issue there. It's usually my go-to since it's so close to home. Tried to make an appointment recently, though, and when I called, both times I was asked to hold, and both times, the call was disconnected. Ended up making an appointment at one 15 minutes further away from home. 🤦🏿‍♀️

    Gary is always so helpful. I came in with a flat and he put on my spare despite how busy he was. Then when I came in at the last minute before a road trip he get me a new tire for a great price within a few hours. I will definitely be coming back to this NTB location and will always ask for him directly. I truly appreciate the help, thanks again!!
