Small nice clean restaurant, modern music setting and the waitress was pleasant. Their Bò Lúc Lắc is delicious (and I don’t say that often when I travel), the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned to eat with the rice. Their Pho(the broth was clear and HOT) and calamari(just a heads up: it’s a small portion for the price you pay) dish was pretty good. The downside, we ordered our food without onions (repeatedly stating) and our food came out with onions twice, but the waitress was very apologetic and enthusiastic in correcting the order. Main reason for the 4 stars, the bean sprouts had way too many hulls(the outer coat of bean sprout head, see pic). Been to many other pho restaurants, never seen so many hulls in the bean sprouts being served. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Yikes. I’ll start with the food. I asked if the dumplings were handmade and told that everything is made there. However, for 12.00 I was served 5 dumplings that are indistinguishable from the ones you buy in the freezer isle. Second- the entrees are served with TOO MUCH FISH SAUCE, which is a common mistake- but when I pay 20$ for a chicken dish IT SHOULDN’T taste like fish. I cook with it all the time- it’s not supposed to make your entire plate taste like fish. Next- service. The server didn’t bus ONE DISH, didn’t refill ONE GLASS, and didn’t drop check or check on us or pick up menus. So- when you consider paying a high price for the area, but are more traveled and not stuck in St. Louis, I warn you now, this place only has high ratings because this AREA rates “expensive” food better. I’m serious, it’s a phenomenon- but I’ve lived here 5 years now- there are PLENTY of places with slightly lower ratings, (only because the prices are better) and better food VERY CLOSE BY.

I enjoyed the place and the food is good but something is missing. I know, I'm a demanding person, but something was missing. The food is good. The menu has several options. Prices are according to what you receive. Must admit that the pho is comforting for the cold weather. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very well located and the place is nice. Maybe I just need to give it another chance.

This is my favorite Vietnamese spot in the city. The soft rolls are fire 🔥 the bun is top notch and the service is excellent. The Pho is also very good. The cook knows what's up. October 2023 - still one of my all time favs. Fantastic Lady Friday is always made better following my facial with some bun. They updated the menu - some favorites are gone but there are also some new items I look forward to trying. Food and service are still amazing and consistent.

I tried this place for the first time the other day and was super impressed! The vermicelli salad was so delicious and flavorful. But the spring rolls that came with it were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were so flaky and tasted homemade. My fiancé and I couldn’t stop talking about them the next day.

Had dinner with some friends. Food was great but the server made some mistakes with an order, and forgot the free ice cream scoop of the birthday celebrator. A little too tight, almost hitting the next person's chair, and a little noisy too. Very busy at dinner time. Street paid parking or take any of the parking buildings ½ block away.

The E4 was one of the most Beautiful things I've eaten all year. All the herbs were extremely extremely flavorful. Then flan was heavily disappointing and we did not want to finish it. Did not enjoy how the flavor was coconut based and was just a below average flan.

This is my absolute favorite Vietnamese place in the city and one of my favorites overall. *Small disclaimer, I don't live in the city so I haven't compared this to everything.* Food is always fresh, exceptionally well tasting, and the staff are pretty friendly. My only complaint is that the imported beers seem to be even more expensive than usual, but I got a dad bod so it's good that I don't have those anyway.

I came here last night for dinner. The restaurant was bustling when I arrived, and a few parties were ahead of me, waiting for their table. The wait was between 10-15 minutes, and I waited. Less than 10 minutes later, I got my table and sat by the front window overlooking the busy streets of Euclid Ave. Christmas decorations are everywhere in the restaurant, which has this holiday vibe. I ordered Cha Gio, which was so delicious, and the sauce that came with it was a perfect pair, and then Bo Luc Lac (this was a tasty main dish, and the only thing missing was the sauce that was supposed to come with my order). Since it was almost Christmas, I had to order one of the restaurant's holiday cocktails- Clark Griswold Eggnog- which was tasty and strong! It is a must-order drink for the holidays.

Just moved from Seattle and have been looking for good Pho spots in St. Louis. Saigon Cafe delivered great pho and then some! Really had a pleasant time here. I got the standard beef pho and the broth was extremely flavorful. The vermicelli bowls, and cocktails were also really great! Service and atmosphere also top notch. Will definitely be back for more.

If you haven't yet discovered Saigon Cafe 🍲, nestled in the heart of St. Louis' Central West End, then you're truly missing out on an incredible dining experience! This charming Vietnamese restaurant instantly transports you to the vibrant streets of Saigon, thanks to its simple yet elegant decor and ambience 🌇. Are you ever looking for delicious, high quality food and you don't feel like you need to get rolled out? Saigon is the spot for you. I can eat my little heart away enjoying their fresh spring rolls and a huge bowl of pho and slurp down a Vietnamese coffee with no regrets. MY FAVS: Fresh Shrimp Rolls, Pho Ga, Bun Bo Xao Cha Gio

I really liked this restaurant. It struck me as an upscale Vietnamese restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome. It was on the pricey side, but it was worth it, really. The menu was extensive, so I don't think it would be hard to find something all of one's guests would enjoy. I look forward to coming again to enjoy the atmosphere again. What a great St Louis charm!

Food and Service at High Level but Atmosphere Relaxed. Food was very fresh and tasty, beautifully presented , and portion was generous ( we all took some home ). Cocktails were excellent. The Margarita had an ice cube in the shape of a rose to add something special.

For starters, the papaya salad and the fried calamari were great. But the Pho, hmmm honestly it didn’t meet my expectation and I’m Vietnamese, the best pho in St Louis was at Kim Ngan and Pho Grand but they both permanently closed. The server was attentive and friendly to us.

Saigon Cafe in St. Louis turned out to be a great find for a quick dinner stop before hitting the road. As an out-of-towner with a craving for pho, I was thrilled to see it on my google maps. I opted for the pho with ribs, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious. The broth had a slightly sweet undertone, which added a unique twist to the traditional flavors. It worked surprisingly well, especially in complementing the tender and flavorful ribs and meatballs. The portion size was generous, leaving me satisfied and ready for my journey. Aside from the pho, I also tried their egg roll, and it was simply amazing. The crispy exterior encased a flavorful filling that was both savory and satisfying. However, the fried rice was decent but not exceptional. It lacked a bit of flavor and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes. One minor hiccup during the dining experience was my sprite being flat. The staff was quick to respond and replaced it twice, but unfortunately, the issue persisted. On the third attempt, they managed to provide a properly carbonated, sugary sprite. I appreciated their effort in resolving the matter, as it was out of their control. Another positive aspect of Saigon Cafe was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It wasn't crowded, allowing me to enjoy my pho in a serene environment. Overall, Saigon Cafe in St. Louis is a worthwhile stop for pho lovers, offering tasty dishes and attentive service, despite a minor issue with the sprite.

Delicious food and drinks. Loved the Bò Lúc Lắc I ordered. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. We were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday night, though it easy busy. Cozy atmosphere inside.

Great Pho here be sure to try the different sauces with your dish. There is also a wide variety of different dishes to be had. Had fun with some of the drink names, the drink shown here is the hot cocoa with toasted marshmallows, cinnamon and mint. Plus, the chocolate on the side, sweet and warm.

Just moved back to the Central West End from University City after the major flood took out my house and my cars but what a blessing from the Lord. I am at Saigon Café and it’s been here for 22 years and I hate here but before I moved back 20 years ago the food is absolutely magnificent flavor and presentation. Mike and the crew took really good care of me and I’m looking forward to coming back at least a couple of times a week I’m gonna have to keep my Vietnamese addiction under check.

Absolutely delicious! We looked through a lot of pho places in St Louis and chose this one, and it was the right choice! Big portions, lots of noodles, friendly staff, and quick service! Great vegetarian pho on top of the typical meat options. The veggie broth was AMAZING, I kept thinking I was done, and then would go back in for a few more spoonfuls of broths. Well balanced flavors and lots of toppings. If you want great pho, don’t pass this place up!

Clean restaurant, allergy friendly menu for: peanuts, gluten free & vegan. The waiter was a younger man, slightly awkward interactions, wasn’t rude though. Ordered the vegan curry and was thrilled with it. Good playful flavor that wasn’t spicy but peppery. Loved the tofu, best tofu I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Would go again for that curry, reasonable wait time & relaxed atmosphere

I came to Saigon Cafe on the day after my birthday because yesterday, there was a snow storm. So, to continue my new year's resolution to try different cuisines, I wanted some Vietnamese for my birthday. Mom also came because she stays nearby. And the restaurant didn't disappoint. First up: the spring rolls. My mom and I both got the pork spring rolls. Man!! One of the best foods I've tasted in my life! The cilantro and carrots are what made them delicious! Second, the pho. This is something I wanted to try for years, but I was a little unsure about, but once I continue to eat the soup, while adding a little Sriracha, it became tasty. Had to eat with a fork because I have trouble using chop stick. Then comes the Vietnamese-style fried rice. I got the chicken fried rice. Knocked it right out of the park! Finally, the Vietnamese iced coffee. I normally don't drink iced coffee as I prefer hot coffee, but that drink puts iced coffee on a completely different level! Initially had trouble using it, since I spilled some of it, but after asking the NICEST server I've seen in a while, she helpfully explained the proper way to use it. After that spill, comes the YUMM FACTOR. I loved it! The ambience of the restaurant is pretty nice, I liked it. My first review, after the experience, I will be coming back!
