We had intended to go to Boatyard, like everyone else, but everyone else was there. So it was sold out. Our driver suggested Copacabana and we are glad he did. After some initial confusion, we got the cabana issue worked out. My complaint about that though, is that they came by and stated it was $20 for the cabana, very reasonable. But then found out that one of my kids was 13 and it was suddenly $30. Sorry, I dont consider a 13 year old an adult... I think you would do better to sell the cabana as a whole for a set price. $20 for one person or $20 for a family with kids... The bar was a bit understaffed and it took a good while to get a drink, but it did not ruin the day. The beach was nice and packed with umbrellas and chairs. The water was chilly and had a strong under current but everyone seemed to enjoy being out there. The cabana was a nice respite from the sun. I had not noticed the restaurant and other buildings until we left... I wish someone (maybe who took our $$ for the cabana) had told us about what amenities were available. Bathrooms were very clean.

Beautiful calm, crystal blue water at this beach! Beach chairs and umbrellas are plentiful, as are tourists from cruise ships. The bar will bring your drinks to you! I found the drinks a bit higher in price than other beaches, likely due to the large number of people from cruises.

Great place to sit by the beach and take in the world whilst relaxing. The beds are reasonably priced and the staff friendly enough. We got lunch here and it was great! The fish tacos were fantastic and the chicken wings were a surprising win. Loved them both

Barbados is the ultimate place for some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The west coast offers you calm turquoise waters that are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and a host of other watersport activities. The south coast has rougher waters that are great for boogie boarding and surfing while the north and east coasts offer a wild and rugged breathtaking kind of beauty that is not ideal for swimming but often time braved by eager surfers. While on the topic of beaches, one such beach that should be given special mention at this time is Brownes beach. Located on the outskirts of Barbados' capital city, Bridgetown, this stretch of beach has suddenly come alive with a hive of activity as a result of the recent opening of Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill. The sounds of a resident DJ will certainly help you unwind as music pervades the air with your choice of calypso, reggae, R&B or just about whatever you want to hear as it's simply a request away. A Lifeguard on Duty Watches Over Seabathers at Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill, Bay Street, St. Michael, Barbados Pocket GuideA few steps away from the open bar takes you towards one of Barbados' largest beaches, Brownes Beach. Its pure white sand and still blue waters that are ideal for swimming and bathing await you. This beach overlooks Carlisle Bay, with its colourful assortment of small boats and catamarans ready to take passengers to sea for a few hours or a day. Some rather impressive yachts can be seen at the Barbados Yacht Club which is adjacent to Pebbles Beach. Brownes Beach is also a prime spot from which one can watch the various cruise ships docking at the nearby Bridgetown Port. For your safety, there is a lifeguard on duty at this beach. A Barman Mixing a Fruit Punch at Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill, Barbados Pocket GuideOnce the sun goes down, Copacabana easily kicks into a prime nightspot with a holding capacity of two thousand (2000) people. With beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks for your leisure, convenient parking, changing facilities and lockers, it is more than understood why you would want to hang out at Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill. Copacabana offers barbeque chicken, fish, hotdogs, hamburgers, good ole Bajan food and a wide assortment of drinks. Whether it's the asbolute comfort of relaxing at the bar, the friendly service, the food or even the calming and inviting view that looks out to the sea, one thing is for sure, you really can't help but lay back once you pay Copa a visit.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Firstly, the bathrooms are really clean and well kept, that says a lot. Drinks are always strong 🤣 and the beach area is well kept. Grab a chair and relax.

Excellent way to pass the time between leaving a cruise ship and a late flight back to the UK. Doesn’t look much from the road but it’s great inside, secure lock up for the suitcases, comfy lounger and umbrellas on a clean, white sand beach, great food & drinks selection and amazing changing room facilities to shower and dress for the journey. The $50 day rate includes a $20 voucher towards lunch. Fantastic value.

This is in the lantern mall and is a take away chicken place. A very good selection of all thinks chicken, it has a slight herby flavour but its really good and is great value for money. Pay at the desk and you get a bleeper when its ready. No frills eating but clean and cheap for Barbados

You can purchase food and drinks from the bar on Carlisle beach. The prices on food and drinks are really great, and the food tastes good as well. Good value for money if you're a tourist without Bajan currency. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Some of the rental packages come with food and drink specials, which, if you're planning to stay all day on the beach, can be beneficial to you because you would be saving a lot of money. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and payment is accepted in both card and cash. If you're looking to spend a day at Carlisle beach, I would recommend you do it here at least once during your stay.

The Copacabana Beach is Defenetly a great location for renting a chair at the beach and drinking/eating. The staff here will cater to your every need while you enjoy the beach. A day pass goes for $25 and you are given a card with 20 dollars to spend within the facility (beverages or food). This also includes a chair. By far one of the best beaches I have been to. I totally recommend this spot to anyone visiting Barbados as it is a must. #barbados #beach #food #drinks #nature

Lovely beach and bar toilets were spotless. Security is high. Very annoying people disturbing you constantly asking if you want to go look for turtles or want cheap jewelry. Very annoying very loud music playing two different songs. Drinks were excellent and so was the food.

Spent the day at Copacabana Beach club. Paid an admission fee wch included the rental of a lounge chair & umbrella.. We were situated right in front of the beach. An attendant comes around w/ a menu if you're interested in drinks or snacks. Food & beveridges are reasonable..There is a life guard on duty in the event an incident occurs. Had a wonderful experience there would totally return .

This is a star place. Virgin have got the right idea!!! Booking in for your flight departure ON THE BEACH!! Amazing. You book your baggage in, and get changed for the beach. You relax, lounge in the sun on the beach, have drinks(alcohol x2 and unlimited soft drinks)and snacks, plus a voucher for lunch. A hearty buffet lunch. When it's time to go, got a shower and changed, got on the coach, brief duty free, and straight on the flight. No waiting. Perfect. This it's a have changer. Beautiful experience. Courtesy of VIRGIN. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! #Virginarethebest

RB's chicken used to be so tasty and moist! Recently I have tried them a few times and the chicken has really not be up to their usual standard. Each time I have had it, the chicken has been very dry and hard to eat. Hoping they can rectify this soon.

This is really a review of the beach which is soft, powdery white sand. The surf is not too rough and the water is almost crystal clear. The excursion we were with entitled us to one free rum punch which was really good.

Great place! Service on the beach as well. Swimming pool available. Great food. A bit pricey, but normal for the area.

  • 4/5 Paul A. 2 years ago on Google
We found chairs etc well priced and staff friendly & loos clean. It's more relaxed than the 'usual' bar (remaining nameless) just along the beach who got 'funny' when we intended to walk off the beach stating Private Property! Were going back in a couple of weeks to Copacabana. We always used that popular place until prices went up. I'm sure you can work out the yard in question. In fact it's a nicer walk back along the beach and up by the carpark so the nameless beach did us a favour.

Great location, lovely atmosphere with lots of nice places to sit. The food is decent, but is a little pricier than I feel it deserves to be. The same with the drinks. I think this is partially because of the location though so I can forgive it since the beach is beautiful.

Careful with getting the food/drink pkg. They don't let you combine and its not that easy to spend the money. SO if you don't spend it all you end up losing money

Didn't try the food, though it didn't look anything special. Visited late morning, so nothing going on. Felt a bit grubby and lots of flies. Sat out on the deck and had a beer with wife and family. Staff were friendly but overall not really impressed. Probably be better in the evening, though couldn't verify that

We went yesterday around 11 and it was closed although the front door said open. We tried calling but no one answered. Bad experience. We have been there before and I really liked the place but I think they should have posted something on social media haiku being closed or at least removed the open sign from the front door. I was disappointed.

Great sand and water. Make sure you look at menu prices before ordering. While I expected expensive, it was even more than what I thought. Thank goodness we only ordered one round of drinks! Worth going to though, for sure.

Copacabana was a decent place. They ran out of chairs but it was busy. Carnival charges $40-60 for this destination. We got in for free but $10 a chair. We originally we're going to boatyard beach but it was at capacity. So we ended up here. Great beach it's part of Carlisle beach and there are other similar places with in walking distance. Great place for beach activities, food, bar, and umbrella.

A nice place to relax with sun loungers and parasols. $50 BBD(£20GBP) buys you a day pass, unlimited ice water and $40 BBD of food/drinks. Slightly let down by dirty showers especially on high up surfaces.

Service was absolutely brutal. Waitress had no ideas on what to recommended and said it is what it is lollll. Just absolutely terrible overall. Vibe is good though so it's worth it just to have something on the beach. Vegetable rolls are Costco style (not bad but i didn't expect much anyway), coconut shrimp was really good and the flying fish sandwich was just sad. Prices aren't too bad for something on the beach.

  • 4/5 Erik P. 4 years ago on Google
The beach is impeccable. The cabanas and chairs are awesome. The food is REALLY expensive, and nothing special. The food doesn't suck, but it's not worth the price.
