Calm, beautiful beach and the best rum punch in the Caribbean. It's the fresh nutmeg 😉

We went there for our Wedding Anniversary and it really was a special evening. (Thanks for the thoughtful cake) We sat on the deck and felt the atmosphere, enjoying the live band overlooking the tables and chairs on the beach. We had a medium lobster each with a great bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Super.

Very nice atmosphere and food but prices were on the high side , the steel drums and singing was very entertaining, and we even had a portrait hand drawn for us that was an unexpected surprise, lobster bisque was awesome, with the bread , and that probably would have been enough , beware though, large bowl was almost $20 US each, we also tried the lobster crepe and I enjoyed the lobster inside but the outside seemed overcooked, service was outstanding, and we also enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella after, lunch was almost $140 US , too high prices , we will be back for soup or appetizers only , thank you!

The wait was so long. Food wasn’t worth the wait. Fries were too oily, pasta wasn’t as good as expected, rice felt like it was heated in the microwave, and fish was so small.

Pick your own lobster live from the tank. Delicious food. Nice ambiance and live jazz. Friendly staff. I recommend making reservations for dinner. It is easy to find on the main road. A must visit

We popped in here for an early lunch. We didn't have a reservation but the super efficient staff let us sit at a table with drinks until the kitchen opened at 12. Gorgeous cocktails, the lobster spring rolls and the conch samosas were incredibly tasty and the main event of the lobster main was perfection. Definitely visit here! Also staff dealt very deftly with a group of lads sitting at the bar tables right at the front as well as giving fab service to the diners. Thank you lobster alive for a lovely lunch. It was great!

This is a great hidden gem if you love lobster. Don't be stuck to resort restaurants, go out and try some great local spots like this one. I had a large lobster and it was so so good. Afterwards I took a stroll on the beach to burn some calories. If you are a seafood fan, don't pass this place up.

Lobster Alive is a stunning outdoor and indoor restaurant with amazing beach views. We arrived for a 5pm reservation for a table for 12. We were ate up on the beach. Watched the stunning sunset and had the best service. We will definitely return. Fresh food. Amazing cocktails.

they went all out for us and decorated our table as we’re on our honeymoon which was a lovely surprise. The wine here is probably the cheapest I’ve seen on the island and they have a good selection. We had conch samosas for starters and we chose a lobster from the tank which ended up weighing 4lbs. It was cooked to perfection. The vibe was great with a live jazz band playing. The staff were attentive - Donna served us and made our experience extra special.

Amazing experience! Nadia our waitress was on point with all of her recommendations and the lobster was the best I have had in a long time! This restaurant is a must when in Barbados! Oh almost forgot they have a live jazz band and are right off the beach where you can see the sunset!!!!!

The service was amazing, and the food topped it all off. They put hearts on our table for our honeymoon and they gave us a free cheesecake. The lobster thermidor is to die for, and lobster pasta is just as good! My wife has been looking for conch all over the island, lobster alive has conch samosas and even a conch chowder. Highly recommend it- seating in the beach is beautiful with live music

Fresh, succulent , delicious lobster. Lobster Alive offers three different size lobsters and price ranges to select from.. They have other menu selections but we were only interested in the lobster. The staff is great. The beach setting and live jazz is perfection.

(Translated by Google) Setting on the beach very nice, even magic, in the evening. The lobsters, delicious, are at BBD115 for the small size. Count around BBD 300 for two with a glass of wine each, taxes and service included. The service, sometimes dilettante, is not always up to par. I confirm, the orchestra, composed of experienced jazzmen is really good in all registers.

Wouldn’t allow us to sit in a table on the beach, then watched another couple just walk up and sit, and they were fine with it. High prices, but really good. The lobster spring rolls were great, as was the crepe. Can’t recommend the bisque though, thank goodness they only had small bowls, not good enough to pay extra for a large like we wanted. Service was great!

  • 3/5 Amanda C. 4 years ago on Google
The lobster crepe was really good. The lobster spring rolls were good too. I didn’t care for the lobster bisque. The Miami Vice (drink) was well done. Pricey...and watch because they add a 10% tip automatically on top of the other service charges. Lunch for two appetizers, a meal and two drinks was $100 USD.

they rip you ( and many others too ) off your money. For example: saying barbados dollars and calculate the invoice with US dollars PLUS service charge. Promised free beers and at the end you have to pay all your beverage... So we ( 6 persons ) decided to go und eating the lobsters on a good restaurant. So the owner hast lost 500 US dollars. Sorry man: you are noch honest !!!

Visited here for an evening meal. The waitress was very friendly and patient. The menu is quite extensive and prices are reasonable. However, my companions fish sold as mahi mahi definitely was not. We bought a full fish at Westins fish Market a few days earlier so we know what it looks and tastes like. A pity the food doesn't match the friendliness of the staff and general ambience of the restaurant.

Nice place. Good drinks. Please find a better way to heat your bread pudding other than the microwave. You know it's been zapped when it's too hot in the center and too hot to eat.

  • 5/5 Dr R. 4 years ago on Google
The staff in this place are extremely friendly and offer a great explanation of everything on offer in the establishment. I had the Bajan fish pie and had it spiced hot, this was one of the best meals I had eaten during my stay. Extremely cheesy and plenty of fish chunks within. (I would normally eat a madras curry back home for those who want a comparison of hotness. This was no where near that.) For the price and the service we received this was a good night out for me and the wife.

We tried to book this place on our holiday but it was full every night so we chanced it early one evening after a long day on the beach. They managed to sit us for an early dinner sitting by the beach and the setting was spot on. We had the lobster bisque and some spring rolls (which was a bit random) to start, both of which were full of flavour. We then had the medium Lobster for main and it was really good, although slightly over cooked. But not so much that it wasn't enjoyable. Service was a tad slow I'd say, but overall this is a great place to come for some fresh fish

Wonderful evening. We chanced it for dinner and didn’t have a booking. But they were able to accommodate us. The ambiance on the beach was lovely and the jazz music was great. The coco loco cocktail was delicious, champagne was surprisingly reasonably priced also. They were happy to accommodate switching the garlic butter for normal butter.

It was a little subdued to my liking. I wanted to be at The Boatyard next door. They were full up. Anyway, the beach area was just the same as Boatyard. I was told you could rent a chair & umbrella, I don't know the cost. Place was busy, bartender, was running like crazy. Could see the kitchen staff working hard. Great place for older folks in my opinion. Steel drum player was great to watch, you could see he was enjoying himself. The dishwasher gal wanted NOTHING to do with anyone. Knocked on the door where she was working to ask her if there was "a changing area?" She looked at me nastily and then just ignored me. I wasn't there to eat, I was there to party, interact with folks, and use the beach...the beach was good.

Definitely a pricey dinner but worth it in my opinion. I had the lobster bisque to start and it was amazing. The lobster Thermidor was delicious and was cooked perfectly. Great food - the lobster was the best I've ever eaten. Very meaty! Great service from Nadia and all the team. Atmosphere was weird. Full of old white Americans. Didn't feel authentically Barbadian at all. Not the kind of experience we were really looking for.

Me and my boyfriend came here spontaneously on our first day here on holiday , we were pleasantly surprised , the staff were so polite and treated us amazingly. We then went to the beach and soaked up the sun , after a while it started raining , the staff let us chill inside despite it being a busy after noon service . We had a few drinks and watched the jazz band that was performing , overall a perfect welcome to Barbados. Was not disappointed and truly had a fab time
