Yes, yes, I went to a sushi restaurant and ordered steak. It was so good though! I expected the service to be disorganized on Ole years night when they had to make quick adjustments to meet new curfew restrictions. Not at all! The service was quick and friendly. The live music was wonderful and energizing. I’d love to return and see how much better it can get without pandemic stress.

I had a dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. You come here for sushi but there is plenty of choice if you don't like it. Would recommend!

Nishi is very high quality sushi restaurant located in Holetown, Barbados. I started with the Udon Noodle Soup that was quite tasty and had soft noodles. My main was the Spicy Salmon Roll. Both delicious. The roll was gentle, subtle in taste and had great composition. Not like the tightly packed roll you can get in most places. You can feel the love and care that made it 🙏. Beautiful restaurant with a cute warm vibe! The staff is warm and welcoming; A special thank you to Shamika because she went above and beyond and that girl deserves a raise! (To me good customer service is just as important as the food quality) The food tasted fresh, they had a lot of great selections, I’m a huge fan of the Sichuan ribs it was absolutely delicious and I’m gonna come back to try more of their menu. This is definitely one of my fav restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.

So far the best sushi on the island. Service was great and the team there is very attentive. Food was very flavourful. I had the soup and a roll, very filling. I love desert so I took that to go. Must try, it's just so expensive.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! The flavours of the food were incredible and the cocktails were great. The waitress was fabulous and always really helpful. There were two kitchens, one with Indonesian sushi chefs and the other with Bajen chefs. Wonderful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere!

Sat upstairs by the window. Time 9:15pm - The waitress, who served us was extremely unpleasant. That was an immediate turn off. The fish of the day was mahi mahi which wasn't bad. The maki tuna roll was average. I have had better in NY. FANTASTIC PRESENTATION, but expensive prices for small portions. If you don't like the service, they already put on the service charge on the bill, so this is why the wait staff can treat you like a dog, if the wish. The owner did provide a discount off the bill because of the wait staff and apologized, which was a nice thing to do..Chris is a good stand up guy.. Unfortunately the staff isn't helping his business!

Best meal so far in Barbados! Not sure which chef thought up this amazing combination of flavors, but the “catch of the day” was elevated by the BEST coconut broth and breadfruit gnocchi!! I’ve never had anything like it and I’m a foodie! Wish I could recreate it, but I’ll just have to ho back again. Drink selections and sushi looked amazing too!

The food is amazing everytime. Even if your not a sushi lover, I'd recommend their other menu options. They also have a live performer on Friday nights and some Saturday nights. I'm telling you she is phenomenal and makes the experience that much better!

Lovely setting and outstanding first rate sushi. Octopus main was a winner. Service bit slow at times, was rather busy and the Pork and Scallops dish was not the best. But overall a great Birthday eveing with family and friends.

This was our second visit to this fabulous restaurant with 7 days, that is how good it is! Chris one of the owner managers knows his stuff, the staff are great and the food and particularly the sushi is amazing (see attached picture) it is made fresh on site by two dedicated sushi chefs. The atmosphere is not too formal, relaxed professionalism is how I would describe it. It is located directly opposite the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre in Holetown, ideal for exploring the many bars on First and Second Street after a wonderful dinner. I believe there is live music at the weekends. It may not be as flashy as Lone Star or the new QP Bisto but believe me it is much, much better. Check it out for yourself.

The sushi was good and I liked the noodles. Service was great & they made my sister’s birthday super special with confetti & a cake with sparklers. I recommend the place.

Quite disappointing. The restaurant was quiet, not much atmosphere. We ate upstairs. Starters okay, Maki Roll tasty, Som Tam salad had no spice. When is a bisque not a bisque? We both ordered the Thai seafood bisque, it was tasty but essentially it was just a sweet curry with not a sign of strained broth! When we informed the waitress, she wasn't sure what we meant, the manager came over and said that it was the chefs interpretation! Had we known, we would not have ordered it. It was wrongly described. No apology given!

I've had sushi from quite a number of establishments, but nothing beats what Nishi provides. The staff, the decor, and the atmosphere are all top knotch. Definitely treat yourself and go on a Friday night! There's a lovely lady whose vocals are EVERYTHING! Someone really needs to cut her a record deal.

Delicious Sushi and Live Music! They have outdoor dining, with a live singer and she is amazing! They have curries and burgers etc for those who don’t like sushi, the sushi is fresh and made by in house chefs at the sushi bar upstairs! Drinks served from the bar with option of outdoor dining.The staff are so friendly and helpful, overall an amazing experience!

We had an amazing experience here! When were turned up at a nearby restaurant and found it was closed despite making a booking and they didn't inform us we were stuck with what to do. Nishi and it's owner bent over backwards to help us. The food was EXCEPTIONAL as was the service. Couldn't recommend this place enough if you are a sushi lover.

I don’t understand why everyone recommends this place for food, the rolls were just awful. The venue is really nice and the service too, but the food... my goodness! I couldn’t even finish what I ordered, Fusion is much better.

Where should I begin?... I celebrated a friend's birthday at Nishi on May 6th, 2018 and it was everything I was hoping for and more. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was to die for. I ordered Dim Sum for my appetizer, and let me tell you.... I also wanted it for my main and dessert! It was a perfect dish. The owner came and introduced himself (the taller one) and basically checked in to see how our experience there was going. I definitely had a memorable night and yeah... I'll definitely be there again.

This is a nice restaurant to visit when in Holetown. It has nice varied menu ranging from Asian to classic British dishes. The restaurant itself has been designed beautifully. The out side area is lush with greenery and the inside is very well decorated. If you sit on the inside definitely try to get a seat on the balcony, as you get a very nice view of Holetown. We had a very welcome welcoming by the restaurant owner himself. Thought the night he checked on us to ensure everything was good and that we didn't need anything. Excellent host. The food was good and very tasty, only two criticisms, one the tempura batter was a little in the thick side and the chicken was slightly over cooked. When this was mentioned to the restaurant owner he was very apologetic and offered us something else without question or hesitation. It's a little on the pricey side but the prices are probably in keeping of the surrounding area. Overall a very good experience and I would definitely go back when in Holetown. I would also recommend booking ahead when in peak season.

We are avid sushi eaters and always have it while traveling if possible. This was by far the best sushi we’ve had. EVER. Atmosphere was great and staff was awesome. Owner was really hangs on and made sure everything went great.

First class food, service and a complete contrast to anything we’ve experienced on Barbados....very unique and quite individual. Highly recommend. Nishi offers beautifully presented good food and a great, attentive staff. However, the prices are expensive in comparison to the quality and portion of the meal selection.

As a sushi first timer, I'll like to thank the staff for their warm hospitality and knowledge about the various dishes they serve along with having patience with a sushi-virgin. Food was great and I'll like to add they have the fastest rain/sun shade I've ever seen in operation lol. Will be back again hopefully will complete my dish next time....😊

Brilliant brilliant sushi, great service. Co-owner spent time at our table chatting to us about Barbados and the food. Chiefs talked to us and gave us tips for sushi at home! Would go there everyday of the week if I could. Must do if you are on the west coast of Barbados!!!

Omgoodness...this place was superb (I don’t know how to spell ‘superb’ in a gangster accent - but that’s how it should be read). 😉 The lobster sushi roll thing was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, and I’m quite the foodie! The setting is lovely and nobody in my party was disappointed. Will recommend - as long as it’s not a night that I’m going (all the sushi for me!!). 🤤🤤

Expensive eat at £30~ per maki dish (9 pieces) but a deserved 5 stars for freshness, quality and flavour of the two we ordered; the Nemo (salmon) and the Dynamite Spider (softshell crab). The Dynamite is a must have!
