Real Deal. I would like to say that the food was good. However, pricing for the fish was not fair at all. To be so close to the ocean- they have access. Small businesses like Fred's should establish agreement with local fisherman and control their cost. Furthermore, I know the street is busy and music is being played all over the place on Oistin strip; but where's Fred's Bar music what's the business vibes. How do you keep your customers engaged? Like I said the food is good, but turn on some music and move and groove in the kitchen. Employees will be happy cause they are in control of the selection or vibes that the music may bring. Best food here so far and we've tried quite a few of the local places. We had rice and peas, 2x stir fried veg, French fries, breadfruit, 2x plantain, sweet potato pie and a banks, 34 barbados for all. Everything was delicious.

Great food at great prices

Went here for dinner because of all the great reviews. Not sure why there are so many positive reviews. This is a road side dive. You sit at a bench on the side of the road. Ambiance is a zero. The woman who served us was pleasant but after we had our fish and chips fried told us we should’ve gotten it broiled cause then it wouldn’t have been so dry. That would’ve been useful info to have while we were ordering. The fish was dry. There was no malt vinegar or tartar sauce available. There were a substantial number of bones in the filleted fish and the menu is extremely limited. This is not a restaurant. It is a hole in the wall. First time in my life that I sat across from a KFC and was envious that I wasn’t eating there. I am not saying not to go. If you are in the area and hungry and realize what you are getting into that is one thing. We took a taxi to go there on purpose. Would never do that again.

The food is great. Every dish is well seasoned and tasty.

Good place to get flying fish during the fish fry. Only issue is that the Friday Fish Fry has become so crowded it takes forever to get served. Would recommend going on a different day and not when the big cruise ships or hotels bus people over for dinner.

The food is amazing and very well priced for what you get. Definitely no complaints. You can also call to order ahead, they're my go too for sunday lunch

We enjoyed our meal at Fred’s! The breadfruit was delicious with our fish meal.

Very friendly service, the best rum punch and the tastiest fish&chips. If you want a taste of real Barbados, come to Fred’s place 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧

We were yesterday evening in Fred's Bar and Restaurant and love it. The food was very good - tasty and spicy and the people there were very friendly and told us something about original bajan food. Try the breadfruit!
