Round House has all the underpinnings for an exceptional experience. Service, Food and locale Quite charming! But can be spectacular. The food should match the scenery

Travelling on the East Coast of Barbados can sometimes be challenging when looking for food choices. Dont overlook the Round House in Bathsheba. A very unique building with some of the nicest views on the Island. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and plan on returning fir a dinner on our next visit. Rum punches were perfect while sitting on the shades dining area with a million dollar view

We did not stay in the hotel but had an amazing lunch at the restaurant. Drinks were creative and fresh and food was delicious. Can't wait to stop there next time I am on the island.

Spectacular location - wonderful restaurant. We drove from The Crane Resort to Bathsheba to see the surfers and to have lunch at the Round House. The restaurant is perched upon a cliff and the view is spectacular. Our server was delightful. She was attentive, prompt, and jovial. The fish cakes were great as was the carrot cake. This was our first visit to Barbados. We plan to return and will certainly lunch at the Round House again.

We've been to the the Roundhouse twice when spending the day in Barbados from a cruise ship and will definitely be going back! The view of Bathsheba beach from our table at the little window is gorgeous! I had the mahi mahi blackened tacos and my husband had their burger and fries. Both were delicious! I don't think I'll want fish tacos anywhere else now! And you must have their Roundhouse Rum Punch! Or have two! We had reserved a time of noon via email and thankfully they were very accommodating when our driver called to delay it by an hour due to timing issues. Thanks for that!

AVOID! Not sure I've ever left a 1 star review but this was the worst service I've probably ever experienced. Our family has been coming to Barbados for nearly 20 years and have always eaten here usually 3 or 4 times during our visit. It has always been good. Before we arrived some friends went and said it had seriously deteriorated but unperturbed, it being a family favorite, we went today! Arriving at just before 12.30, we were seated and were given some water, 10 or 15 minutes later a waitress took a drinks order and sort of explained that they would take the food order when the kitchen was ready (perhaps that should have rang bells, but no-one said anything about delays) and we settled back and enjoyed the view. Several times the maitre d' said the order would be taken soon. Finally, at 13.15 (just before the time we'd decided to leave at) she took our order but we noted at the time didn't bother to write it down. We then ordered some more drinks which we had to ask for twice more before they actually arrived at 13.45. By this time the maitre d' had said several times that the chef was on it, and it would be coming soon. We ascertained that this was a straight lie as some people, already seated when we arrived, were only just getting starters! At 2pm when we decided to leave the maitre d' didn't apologize, just said 'fine, I'll tell the kitchen'. While we were there several plates were returned from guests, we were unsure if this was poor quality or just wrong orders (likely as no-one seemed to actually write anything down). As our friends had already warned us, it seems not to be a one off. Avoid, we will never be going back, which is tragic as we loved this place!!

Great food and everytime I go there it feels like a real getaway! One year I treated my husband to a staycation and spent a few days. I was extremely happy with every meal and the surrounding areas. Whenever I go back for lunch it is consistently good.

Beautiful location. We had lunch here with no reservation. Got a window seat with incredible views. Unfortunately service is very slow. Our starters (once we got them) were incredible, but then a 45 minutes wait for mains, that were just average burgers. Its such a shame. Manageress was extremely polite and attentive, would constantly reasure you food is coming. All the other female waitresses didn't really seem like they knew what to do with themselves. 4* simply for the quality of the starters and the views!

Great views and great breeze coming from the Atlantic. Initially wanted to go for brunch but made it to lunch... our orders consisted of the flying fish and breadfruit cou cou, coconut shrimp, salad with chicken, burger and fish cakes. All were well presented and tasted great. And I quote "that was a proper and hearty salad." So food was great and the service and staff were just as awesome. Worth a trip to the East Coast...

Food was nice, staff was overall friendly. The server attempted to overcharge us by about 250$. We had paid and only when walking to the car we (a group of 6) realized something was up. We went up to the staff and at first they insisted all was in order but when pressed further agreed they had massively overcharged us. They claimed it was a mistake with the till and promptly gave us a refund. I realize this may be a genuine mistake but my gut tells me they attempted to pull a fast one on us (I distinctly remember the waitress rapidly taking the till receipt from our table once we had paid). Other than that a nice experience.

We've been visiting for nearly 20 years and the service is always top notch. It's relaxed dining but the waitresses are on the ball. The menu was a little more limited than I remembered, but it might be that it's still off season. Food was excellent although the Caesar salad (without additions) was a little sparse. Only failing in our eyes was a lack of deserts. I seem to remember having good bread pudding her with rum sauce in the past, alas only ice creams now. Even with these notes, we'll be calling again on our next visit to the island

Apart from friendly and knowledgeable staff, ambient surroundings that fuses quaint with casual it's all about the view from the hill. That being said the food and faire are excellent dining. I actually prefer this place for breakfast or lunch but you can also catch a live band here in the evenings at dinner if that is more your speed. Happy Travels.

Visited the restaurant for brunch but luckily we ended up staying for lunch. Enjoyed everything from appetizer to dessert: Loaded Hummus with the plantain chips, the fishcakes, the homemade burger with brie and caramelized onions and the brownie and ice cream for dessert. 5/5 will return again!

Delicious lunch today of perfect burgers and tacos, with probably the most spectacular views of any restaurant I’ve ever visited! The staff were lovely and when we couldn’t eat another thing they organised a lovely taxi driver for us, resulting in a most entertaining drive with a ton of laughing! Many thanks.

A beautiful location overlooking the ocean, super-friendly staff, woman-owned (and she’s beyond lovely) with great food, tasty drinks including a slew of rum punches, and amazing ambiance. One of my new fave places on the island. Brunch with a local musician and my friends was one of the best days I’ve spent in Barbados in years!

Love the Round House. The breadfruit chips are amazing. Think tasty potato chips sometimes cut a bit differently. The spiced mayo dip is awesome. Their food prep and choices are outstanding. Call ahead.

Called in for lunch on spec whilst on a tour of the island. Fabulous location with great views, a decent menu albeit a touch pricey ( no doubt due to the location), shame about the attitude of who we can only believe to be the manageress. Surly and curt

We came for lunch. Lovely food and wine in the best setting. Amazing views over the east coast. Worth the trip.

After detailing allergies and communicating with the staff, my vegetarian dish had a half-eaten shrimp tail in the dish. As someone who is deathly allergic to seafood, it made no sense why a half-eaten shrimp tail was included in my vegetarian dish. Ended up in the hospital for anaphylaxis and the manager still made me pay for my dish. Horrible service.

One of the best places we stayed in Barbados. Absolutely beautiful. Bathsheba is the ocean site of the island and it seems to be very popular for surfers.

Second time there for lunch. Great spot on the wild side of the island. Would love to come back and stay for2 nights with my wife and a good book.

We went here on a Sunday and arrived at 9. The website stated that breakfast started at 9. When we got here the waitress repeatedly made excuses for why they wouldn’t serve us. Including waiting for their yoga class to be done and writing the chalkboard menu. The staff here is consistently rude every time I’ve been here - slow service and average overpriced food. Also - maybe start breakfast service at 9:30 if you also aspire to be a yoga studio on the side and the class finishes at 9. Just a thought.

We went for a celebratory meal there after friends of our got engaged on the beach opposite. it was fantastic. Service was with a huge smile, even if was behind the mask! They made us feel special, and served us graet food in an iconic location. If you ever got to Barbados, make sure you visit Bathsheba, and if there, eat in the Roundhouse, trust me you will not be disappointed in either choice. Thanks!

Great view, great food, great service. We ate the flying fish tacos and flying fish (fried) creole. Probably the best meal we had during our week long stay.

2nd time we've eaten here and 1st time excellent so not sure if an off day or not able to handle a larger volume of diners. Waited quite a bit for order to be taken then when it arrived wife's dish wasn't among them it arrived 5 to 10 mins later. 3 of us had finished while my wife was still eating the waitress decided to clear our plates away which is not on while 1 person is still eating. We ordered apple strudel which took almost an hour to arrive. Another large table next to us had same problem with half getting their food 1st then 10 to 15mins later the others getting their food. It's a shame as it's a lovely setting to have lunch. Hopefully things improve.

My favorite pace to go on the east coast. Great food, nice staff and a pretty good view! Breadfruit poppers are a definite starter recommendation with a rum punch!

We were out exploring for the day and found this restaurant so stayed for lunch, friendly staff, attentive service and good food, he had a burger and I had fish, oh and a dessert 🍨 all delicious and sat with a great view of the surfers 🏄‍♂️ 🌊 and Bathsheba beach. Recommend this delightful Inn and would visit again. 😀

Great view of the beach at a high spot. Food is tasty but really small portion and drinks can be improved. I ordered iced coffee served hot.

I’ve fallen head over heals for Round House! My weekend staycation place and a favorite restaurant to eat. Staff are AMAZING! Views are epic.

Worst hotel experience of my life, with a dirty room and uncaring staff! My wife and I stayed in the top room. They would not feed us on arrival because the kitchen was closed, and they refused to give us any cold food either. The mattress was dirty and had cigarette burn marks, and there was no blind on the roof light, so we woke up super early and couldn't sleep due to the bright light. They refused to feed us breakfast. We immediately decided to cut our intended 3 day stay short, and departed for the nearby Atlantis Inn instead, which was excellent, and a good antidote to this over-rated dump. Best avoided.

Good food... servers are great.. but the service is a bit slow... They also messed up with the menu (picture) and with my bill... I was expecting them to offer something to apologize for their mistake bit nothing... Nice place regardless

I wish that there were more stars available to award!!! Best views from any of the restaurants I've been to on the island! Friendly service, great seating options no matter where you're sat, decent options on menu and the best run punch around!!!

Food is delicious and ambience is even better. The breadfruit poppers are a must try! One of my favorite restaurants on island.

Beautiful scenery on the outside. I had the Breadfruit poppers and Breadfruit cou cou with Blackened Mahi Mahi. Also a Banana Pina Colada.....all were tasty. Had to wait a while for our coffee and tea. Other than that with good company, great food and a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean you will surely have a memorable experience.

Ambience is great! Food is okay. Service was pretty good. For an East Coast restaurant I thought it was nice and relaxed with great views but there could be a little more attention to detail.
