I had an amazing experience at this cafe. My last time visiting was for my birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and relatable. The food was fantastic. I had scrambled eggs on a toasted bread with bacon, avocado and a home made potato side dish. So yummy! The staff even sang me happy birthday and I didn’t expect that for breakfast spot. That was so sweet of them! Watch the videos below. :) Thank you all for this experience!

We absolutely love going to the cafe Carizma! We always get a warm welcome and friendly staff and the owner is also very pleasant and warming. The food is just absolutely gorgeous always! So tasty and excellent portion size. The cafe have entertainment on Tuesdays and a quiz Thursday which is lots of fun and the atmosphere is so nice because the staff get involved with you and make sure that you have a great memorable night which always means a great deal nowadays. You can’t go to Barbados and not go to Cafe Carizma! Its in a beautiful setting in the Chattel Village in Holetown and they even now have a new dessert cafe just to the side of the cafe and its absolutely heavenly bliss!!! The quality and the menu is just excellent so you have to see for yourself! We fully recommend going to the cafe and dessert cafe because you have an all round great experience and that’s what being on holiday is all about. Thank you to all the staff and Anita for really looking after us when we visit. Jamie. James.

We were here on our last visit to the island and then again today. Very nice coffee spot on the West Coast. They also have a lunch menu.

Delicious food, but small, expensive portions. There is also a non-optional 10% service charge, so we ended up spending £20 on a single chicken wrap with chips. For some reason their menu said Carizma BurgerS, i.e. plural, yet they said there was only one burger. You can pay by card and they have free Wi-Fi.

The friendliest staff and best full English Breakfast you can imagine. We love this place and make it a point to come here every time we are in Barbados. Beautiful smiles make your day brighter!

My family and i came here for their taco tuesday and live performance. The tacos were incredible and their hanging fruit tower over ice cream looked amazing. I got the nutty and oreo rolled ice cream with coconut ice cream and it was heavenly. Could not say enough about this place. Would highly recomend. And pricing was very fair also

We absolutely love this place. We go there most mornings for the best breakfast with the loveliest of staff who are always so friendly and helpful The food here is top notch and the evenings are great as well. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Best coffee, perfect poached eggs & homemade potato cakes. Came almost daily during our holiday, as the food, ambience & friendliness of the staff was excellent. So popular that we were unable to book the jazz evenings.

Owner argued with us about our order because the dishes we wanted did not constitute a dinner in her opinion. Bizarre and shocking. For 2 people we ordered well over $70. She was quite rude and persistent. It is a shame, because service and food are decent.

Great service, lovely bunch of people, food very tasty, try the hummus or prawns, excellent snack! Coffee great and super WiFi, nice comfortable tables and chairs, either on the covered deck or spread out in the undergrowth, gives it a feeling of calm and space.

We visited twice. Once for breakfast and once for the quiz night and tacos. Great selection of dishes for breakfast. In a group of 6 of us, everyone had something different and everyone was happy. Quiz nght: brilliant. Well run and great fun with a delicious variety of food on offer beforehand. Great rum punch as well.

This is a wonderful little cafe & breakfast spot! The surrounding are colorful, the seating is under roof or umbrella for Barbados' surprise rain showers, and the staff is delightful and attentive. The food is delicious (I had the French Toast & Bacon) and there is something for everyone on the menu. The chickens, and the staff's silent battle with them, provide visual entertainment as well. Coffee is some of the best I tried in Holetown. When busy, this spot fills up quickly so have some patience if trying to visit during busy season.

Went there today with some old school friends. It's got a nice relaxed atmosphere, in a quiet setting though very convenient for all the Holetown shops. The food and service were good too!

Carizma Cafe @ Chattel Village is a unique experience. Tapas type of meals where you have an opportunity to sample so many of their unique menu items. The staff & service is outstanding & live music on Thursday evening is an added bonus!!!

Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We should know as we experienced them all. Super service from a really friendly and helpful team. Food was good and tasty.....and the quiz night which we came 3rd in was brilliant. The rum punch was lovely, as were the smoothies and shakes. We'll be back.

  • 3/5 B 1 year ago on Google
Food is consistently excellent at this business, but prices are very expensive. They also include a mandatory "10% Service Charge" on all customer bills, forcing customers to tip whether or not they want to. They are also registered as a business that provides direct tourism services, which seems very bizarre to me. If they were a hotel, I would understand. But, a café? Most of their customers are tourists, yes, but that's only because they're based in Holetown. I would give them a higher score, but the mandatory 10% Service Charge is really obnoxious. We are not the United States. This is not customary behaviour in Barbados.

This commercial area has been maintained to perfection. Caribbean authentic style, that is, with a friendly staff and good quality food. The price range in all these Holetown tourist areas is similar. They are not cheap.

Food lovely, was VERY busy when I went due to other places being closed. Service fine, just so busy that people stood next to you in a queue while you eat.

Looking for a late afternoon snack and came across Carizma. The best sweet potato fries, decaf cappuccino and tasty hummus all served with by lovely staff.

Polite staff on three separate occasions. Outdoor tables with colorful sunshades. Open late Tuesdays/Thursdays with live music and taco night on Tuesdays (trivia on Thursdays). Recommend reservations for these nights. Can get busy on mornings for the breakfast crowd. Consistently excellent quality of food. I had the all English breakfast and my daughter enjoyed the fresh waffles with banana chocolate sauce and whipped cream. I had the Sweet and Spicy Asian marinated steak taco and blackened fresh catch taco. Fresh catch was good but the steak taco was divine. We also enjoyed rolled ice cream (caramel popcorn) and a hanging skewer of chocolate sauce onto strawberries, brownie bites, and roasted marshmallows into a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Our favorite restaurant while visiting.

We loved our visit to Café Bar Carizma for breakfast. The setting is very relaxing and pleasing on the eye, positioned as it is among the historical (and beautifully restored) chattel house village in Holetown. The service was friendly and attentive despite being busy, and the food seemed appropriately priced for the quality and quantity. The mocha coffee was delicious - totally different (better!) than in London. There are a lot of menu options. This evening we walked back through the chattel village to discover that Carizma was full of diners enjoying dinner, so it’s obviously a popular place through the day.

This is a great little cafe in downtown holetown. Their Taco Tuesday's are awesome with great tacos and live entertainment. They do breakfast which is tasty but I find a touch over priced.

Great evening, good ambience, fun pub quiz with amusing hosts, we will be back. Bar snacks would be appreciated rather than a full menu on a night like this.

  • 4/5 Moira C. 4 years ago on Google
Pleasing ambience, service, coffee and food. A nice spot and reasonably priced - a good place for breakfast and lunch. It is licensened so you can enjoy dinner there too and probably "home". Their tapas nights with live music, on Tuesdays and Thursdays are really great, borne out by the need to book dinner on those nights two weeks in advance - try it - you'll be glad you did.
