I ordered the Bajan Rum burger which was about $20 USD and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it was probably the worst burger I’ve ever had. The menu said it was extra lean beef but It was more like a mashed potato patty instead a meat one. The bun was made out of what looked a cheapest bread you can get at a super market. I don’t want to seem like I’m hating on this place but when I pay $20 for a burger I expect it to be at least ‘good’ On the positive note the place has a good setting and nice cocktails

I can confidently say that the burger here was the worst burger I’ve ever had. Imagine spam shaped into a burger patty shape. It actually tasted worse than meatloaf and to put salt on the wound it was $22 USD. My friend ordered the burger as well and got the same experience. It’s unfortunate because the general ambience of the restaurant is nice but for the price I would definitely not recommend and would encourage you to look elsewhere. Hopefully they can increase the quality of the ingredients and lower their prices to be more reasonable. Until then I won’t be going back.

The place was clean and sanitized regularly , the food was awesome and the staff was extremely pleasant. We heard Sonny Meraki perform and he was amazing as well.

Ordered red snapper, waited over an hour and a half for our food, then got served a piece of fish that was clearly not red snapper. The fish had an odd, pasty texture, I guess they couldn't get snapper so they cooked up whatever they could get cheap from the local junk man. Spoke to the manager, he shrugged it off, apparently assuming us tourists aren't coming back anyway. There are a ton of good restaurants here. Don't waste your time on this one.

Brown Sugar; what a little gem. Enjoyed this place a lot. Decor was very nice and the food was great. Service was wonderful. A casual dining experience with a little flair.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, varied menu, great drinks. This restaurant has everything going for it except: 1. Some of the meals lack a little flavour. I had the King Prawns they were perfectly seasoned but tried my other friends' meals and they were a little bland. 2. And perhaps what let's it down the most bit could be easily rectified: the presentation of the food is sub-par. For such a beautiful restaurant, I would expect more creative presentation. Due to the above, I couldn't give 5 stars. Saying this, becauae of the other things I enjoyed about the restaurant, I would return.

We were welcomed in to the restaurant, shown around by the chef before it was opened for the day. He told us if we came back that evening 'we would have a great meal and experience'. He didn't disappoint us. We had a fabulous meal and are making plans to come back this year!

The lunch buffet is really good and there is a lot of choice. If you want to have local food, this is the right place. Our host was nice and friendly. It is busy on Sundays, it's better to get a reservation. Last service is at 2.30 pm.

Ordered the seafood fettuccine, it was quite tasty. Very flavorful, would order again! Also ordered the fruit punch, which was really yummy, it comes frozen, and is somewhat of a mix between a slushy and a smoothie. My rating is low because the rest of my party did not enjoy their food. Did not enjoy the crab cakes as an appetizer. They also did not enjoy the snapper or curry shrimp. Overall, not the tastiest place we've been on the island. Overall, I would recomend the seafood fettuccine, it was delicious (along with the fruit punch). As for the other dishes, mentioned above, I would not recomend.

I ate there everyday. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was delicious. There was a variety of different types of foods (upscale Bajan foods). I love the buffet. The food was well prepared. The waiter/waitress were very friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend this place.

Just enjoyed a delicious gluten free buffet lunch at Brown Sugar, and would definitely go back again! It meant so much to be able to try the Island's local dishes in a gluten free version-- made me feel like I wasn't missing out so much! Especially loved the pepper pot, the fish cakes and steamed pudding with gravy.

it's ok... over priced for what you get. def a good tourist trap. nice for a romantic dinner as long as you aren't there strictly for the food.

Went there on a Saturday night, employees very polite and nice. However, as previously mentioned the restaurant is not air conditioned but the washrooms were which is a plus. There were many fans but was very hot still. The food was ok, had the coconut beer shrimp and the seafood medley, the shrimp were huge but the seafood medley was a little disappointing as I was expecting other types of seafood such as clams and mussels as the menu had described instead there was only shrimp and fish. My group had arrived at 6:30pm and it took almost 45 minutes for our appetizers to be served. Our drinks order was wrong however it was corrected. Our waitress also informed us a few items on the menu was not available and service took a very long time. Overall after expecting a better experience I was terribly disappointed.

Nice restaurant serving local cuisine. Good friendly service. I assume the food is prepared in a traditional way, but we, having a European taste, didn’t find it delicious. Nevertheless, it was interesting to try.

Great upscale local cuisine. The snapper was nicely seasoned and cooked. It has a nice Caribbean decor. We sat outside. The service was great.

Pricey but delicious! Leave room for the bread pudding with rum sause and or the coconut icecream. The seafood medley, herbed snapper, and flying fish seemed to be the faves. If I had it to do over Id pass on the coucou it was a bit bland... and I'd start with shrimp avocado salad then seafood medley, then bread pudding with rum sauce

Food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a medium steak and it was beyond well done. I couldnt even cut into it, thats how overcooked it was. The rice and beans side was so dry I couldnt eat it. You would think for 95 bbd you'd get something edible. It should have been a dead giveaway when the server (who never smiled once the entire time) told me the sweet potatoes side was "sometimes moist, sometimes really dry". Honestly it would be challenging for me to smile too, if I had to serve garbage food to high paying customers. My wife ordered the coconut curry shrimp and it was flavorless, colorless and also overcooked. The red wine I ordered with my steak had turned to vinegar. Needless to say, we did not eat the food, payed the check and went to enjoy a nice dinner at La Cabane instead, which was phenomenal as always.

👍 Rent beach chairs and umbrella from Lobster Alive and it gets you a wristband to access the restaurant restroom. Food a little pricey for what you get but I guess it’s the great location you’re paying for. Really busy when big cruise ships are in port but other times and can be a little quieter.
