First time I've visited this restaurant and I'll definitely be back for more. Good quality fresh produce and impeccable service. Staff pleasant and attentive. Theres a wide choice of foods on the menu available and average prices for st Lawrence gap restaurants. Colourful and cozy surroundings makes for a pleasant dining experience. Definitely worth a visit. 4 min walk from the end of the Gap

Fantastic food and stellar service. The collection of dishes we ordered were lovely in their own right. The price of each dish was very reasonable and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend a visit!!

This restaurant never disappoints when visiting the StLawrence gap in Barbados. I try to enjoy seafood as much as I can on the Island. The Thai Curry is my favourite with the coconut shrimp a close second. I would strongly suggest a reservation especially in the high season to avoid disappointment. It is also a great spot for people watching in the evening.

The food was like an Iceland takeaway, I had the harlequin chicken and looked and tasted like a frozen chicken korma from Iceland, in fact it didn't taste as good. My daughter had the Thai red chicken curry, again very bland, little taste, like the harlequin chicken the actual meat looked and tasted processed and microwaved. May as well have just dropped £60 on the street, when asked if it was all good the answer was as written above but no response whatsoever, not an eyelid was batted, this is one place I won't be recommending. Trying to be 5* isn't for everyone I'm afraid.

Omg, the food & mixed drinks were delicious. We were able to get squeeze in at the last minute. You need a reservation though so call in advance. Friendly staff, everything was great, ambiance was lovely as well. I had a Harlequin fish pie, it was great

Harlequin has been in St Lawrence Gap for over 20 years and for good reason; the food is excellent, service and our server Angela were excellent, ambiance very good. All without being stodgy or pretentious. Menu price is very competitive with other similar eateries in The Gap. Good lawd I have to learn to take photos but when flying fish is in front of me…. everything takes a backseat

Really lovely server lady so accommodating! The food was top notch portions even too large I’d say. I wish I could’ve finish my seafood pasta as it was brilliantly delicious but TOO much on the plate. Probably for American customers… we’re from London

Flying fish with Cajun sauce and Harlequin Chicken are not to be missed. Best meal we have had in Barbados after 3 days dining out. The chicken would rival some of the best American Cajun restaurants. Best service as well! Desserts were pretty great too.

The wait was so long. Food wasn’t worth the wait. Fries were too oily, pasta wasn’t as good as expected, rice felt like it was heated in the microwave, and fish was so small.

Having been a chef for the major part of my adult life, its very rare that I can sit at a table in a restaurant and not find fault with the smallest detail, whether it be the food, the service, cleanliness or whatever. This place made me verrryyyy happyyyyy. The service was excellent, the waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. My youngest spilled her drink and a gentleman, whom I presumed to be the owner, tidied our spot right up ( thumbs up right there!) The food was great! It came out on time, hot and everyone enjoyed their food from the apps to the dessert. The rum punch was on point ( I wanted a third but I endeavour to be a responsible parent...when it counts) So just to list, we had : the calamari was great, the mixed seafood app was excellent, the cajun chicken dinner was yummy, the mahi mahi was delicious and the surf and turf looked good (those two individuals didn't share with the rest of us). Wish I had gotten more photos but I was busy enjoying the food. Basically, EVERYTHING was enjoyable and I had a fabulous night. Barbados was a great vacation spot and having dinner here on our last night just tied it up in a nice bow for us. Thank you to Harlequin and the staff. for the enjoyable dining experience. the best I've had in a loooong time.

The food here was decent. Everything that came out was delicious. It was about a 20 minute wait for appetizers, 45 minute wait for entrees. Only downside was took about 30 minutes to get seated. Recommend making a reservation.

The best place in St. Lawrence gap to eat!! We had an evening meal here on Saturday 2nd December 2023, and it was amazing. The food is high standard. The service is excellent the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to serve you with a smile. The owner is very friendly and will do his best to make sure all your needs are met. It's child friendly which is just brilliant. The food/service is worth every penny. On Sunday 3rd December after a long day of excursions we requested our food to be delivered to our hotel room. They instantly took are order and delivered our order with in an hour. It came with the same quality we received when dining. All I can say is thank you so much for making our trip to Barbados even more amazing. Thanks room 414

Great experience - red snapper was delicious and perfectly seasoned and grilled. Our waitress was the most attentive we've had on the island, perfect service! Thanks for a memorable meal.

We managed to squeeze in on a Monday night in March when the place was fully booked by getting there around 6.30pm. Food was excellent and the prices reasonable. Definitely worth another visit before the end of the holiday.

Staff super friendly and very attentive. Best we have experienced here so far. We ordered the barbados hot pot and the BBQ chicken, both were delicious. Banks beers were chilled to perfection.

The service was great but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the Caribbean hot pot because I wanted to taste some authentic Barbadian food but it just tasted like a bland beef stew, the menu indicates that this item is supposed to be spicy but there was no seasoning present whatsoever. The grilled fish tasted like it was cooked in dirty wet mop water, all of my friends tasted my food because they thought I was overreacting and they all agreed that it was indeed disgusting. Don’t come here if you have decent taste buds or you will be disappointed!

We have visited the establishment a few times now over the years. Keith the owner when on site will pop to your table for a quick visit and will greet and meet you. He himself and the staff are welcoming and cheerful. We have never been disappointed with the food and have been served in a timely manor. Oct 2022. We saw Keith again. Food was good and he has a lovely bubbly waitress. We had a pleasant evening. Noted all was clean and newly painted and it was a busy evening. No complaints. I appreciated the art work on the walls.

Top quality food customer service, always greeted with a smile. The ambiance is charming with a soft background music of contemporary songs not detracting from personal interactions for patrons. The owner meanders through the restaurant as he ensures all is well. Excellent for group, couple or individual dining. Extra effort is made for special occasions. Consistently great food, service with every visit where you are remembered by the staff. Highly recommended!!!

A real treat. Consistently wonderful every time I go. Slightly less casual than many places I frequent when in Barbados, but still welcoming and relaxed. Love it. Have only ever had their fish dishes but I've no doubt the other food is perfect, too.

The only restaurant we ate at 3 times during our stay in St Lawrence. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Special mention has to go to Frances she was our main waitress every night. She understood my old man very well and quickly realised the humour he was running with (Mr “no water” a cup of ice please!”) She was funny and had great banter with the whole family. Please make sure your staff are aware that we had the best dining experience with them. We will be back and the food was 10/10 it’s a must visit when you’re in St Lawrence Gap!

The food and the service was amazing as always, one of our favourite restaurants on the island. It was great to be greeted by the manager and remembered like a home away from home. Will be back again as soon as we can.

We were in barbados for ten days and I came here with my friends for dinner at least three times. Service and food was phenomenal. Jenee was super welcoming and we always came with a group of 7-12 and all the staff were super accommodating. Great time and amazing vibes. Also celebrated a birthday and they made it a special experience. Definitely the place to dine in Barbados!

One night, after being on the beach all day with a friend.... we stopped in at harlequin. I wanted to go to tabu but they refused me due to my swim suit which actually looks like a skirt and top. Oh boy am I glad they DID! Food was awesome drinks were tasty. The owner was there and he more than catered to our table. The waiter was funny too!

The staff in this place are extremely friendly and offer a great explanation of everything on offer in the establishment. I had the Bajan fish pie and had it spiced hot, this was one of the best meals I had eaten during my stay. Extremely cheesy and plenty of fish chunks within. (I would normally eat a madras curry back home for those who want a comparison of hotness. This was no where near that.) For the price and the service we received this was a good night out for me and the wife.

  • 3/5 Sean M. 4 years ago on Google
Nice place. Good drinks. Please find a better way to heat your bread pudding other than the microwave. You know it's been zapped when it's too hot in the center and too hot to eat.

  • 2/5 Stuart C. 4 years ago on Google
Visited here for an evening meal. The waitress was very friendly and patient. The menu is quite extensive and prices are reasonable. However, my companions fish sold as mahi mahi definitely was not. We bought a full fish at Westins fish Market a few days earlier so we know what it looks and tastes like. A pity the food doesn't match the friendliness of the staff and general ambience of the restaurant.

If your in the gap and are looking for good food and great service, this is the place for you. The staff make you very welcome but the thing that makes me return every time is that is one of the few restaurants that don't push you out when you have finished your meal.
