Take away the homeless man harassing people the area is lovely and the homeless guy was moved on by locals in the area. The people are very nice shame they have to deal with rude tourist but if you take away those 2 problems it's a beautiful area and a must-see location. My wife and I thought the area and locals were lovely and we hope to back one day. We wish tourist would learn respect for others, we whiteness some rude people that we were ashamed to be around but they were nothing to do with us just the group we were in. Cool Running Cruises was the best day we had in Barbados a day we will never forget. The guys on the cruise went all out it was an amazing day. We loved every moment.

I have been going to Barbados for many years & this year was the first time I've came across the historic screw dock, what an extremely good piece of British engineering. Plenty of information about this dock scattered around the area.

A slowly crumbling ruin of an old port but beautiful because its still origional , not alot to see but a great little snack bar next to it . Not a major highlight but worth a visit for a drink and a chill and maybe a bite , nice covered outdoor seating.

Did a sunset snorkeling excursion on vacation, and it was awesome! The Cool Runnings crew was a lot of fun. We're able to view 3 sunken ships and swim with turtles 🐢 Would definitely recommend it!

Very large old machinery to power the screw worm drives that allow the dock to be sealed full of seawater or completely empty to permit work to take pace on ships hulls. The original electric motors are all on view exposed to all winds and weather but very much intact. Heavy duty British engineering!

Interesting area although allowed to fall into disrepair. Also not clear how to get there. No charge for entry.

Lots of cool history

Been there several times, mostly for drinks. Drinks are good, but the food is not tasteful at all, and they dont give you everything thats listed on the menu. E.g the menu says the burger comes with salad AND fries or onion rings. We mentioned this to the waiter and she kept arguing that its salad OR fries, but finally gave in after 5 mins. She said she'll bring the salad. 10 mins after, when we're almost done with the meal she tells her collague to ask us if we still want the salad...(?). Yes, of course! I worked in restaurants myself and we always made these cases a priority, when things like this happened. And then the bill comes. For the first time in my 4th visit to Barbados the tax is added at the end like in the US. Never experienced it here..

I'd never heard of a screw sock so I found the information boards very interesting. I was about to board a boat unfortunately so didn't have time to read them all. It could do with renovating properly as it's all rather tired and rusty but I gave it 4 stars for its interest factor.
