When on island a place to have a seat on one of the last open public windows to the sea or consider an evening stroll. Some use it for exercise but a great place to go to forget the daily grind. A few popular restaurants are close there if you decide but book ahead if you wish to dine. Close to a micro mall if you need anything from the store or pharmacy. KFC is also attached to the boardwalk. Not recommended to traverse late at night as its not fully lit. Between the business it will be desolate after 8pm so use your judgement.

This short oceanside boardwalk is well worth a half hour's stroll for anyone in the vicinity. Extend your stroll by sitting for a breather and taking in the mesmeric sight of the surf hitting the rocks and beach. Lose yourself in your own thoughts for a short time and you will definitely benefit from the relaxation. The boardwalk is suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and prams but access for these isn't particularly easy at either end. The boardwalk is not signposted very well either. For these 2 reasons I've docked a star.

Nicest paved pathways walk on the beach in Barbados. Loved how they had chilled water refill stations and art exhibits as well as instructional stations and tile murals by Earthworks Pottery about the turtles that live here and indeed we're swimming with us in the surf near here. This would be an excellent place to bring children. Park at Acra Beach. Get some lunch at Chefette across the street and have a little beach walk on the pathway and come back for a swim at Accra and lie underneath the coconut palms.

Very nice artwork along the walk and a scenic, easy stroll for a while along the southwest beaches. Keep an eye open for crabs and lizards, too! There are a few points at which the boards have a gap with potentially wet sand, so be careful if you care deeply about your shoes!

Very picturesque boardwalk running from the end of Rockley beach to Coconut Court Beach. Perfect for an early morning stroll or watching the sunset with a rum punch from one of the local beachside bars. Very safe, and very tranquil, especially early in the morning. Apparently there's a chance you'll see green monkeys or hummingbirds if you're extremely lucky - we didn't, but saw plenty of crabs and lizards as we made our way the few times we visited the boardwalk. There was some building work going on towards the end of the boardwalk when we visited, but they have displayed a lot of amazing local artwork along the area where the building is going on, so it doesn't detract from the experience in the slightest.

We stayed right on the boardwalk and had the best time. I know now that this is where I want to stay each time I visit Barbados. The morning and evening walks here were lovely.

The Richard Haynes Boardwalk is an excellent way to stroll the beach vs walking the other side using the street. Amazing views, very well kept and different jet out points with seating and spots to stop and enjoy the view. There are numerous beach bars and restaurants that have rear entrances off the Boardwalk. There is even an ocean front KFC. Further down there is an art installation where a construction wall has been installed with some cool local art which is illuminated at night with motion lights. The Boardwalk is also a great place to catch the sunset.

Beautiful. You can't swim the waters here .... but a spectacular place for a stroll to see the fierceness of the Atlantic Ocean. There are places to sit to absorb the sun or just to reflect about how wonderful it is to stay in Barbados all year long if you could. The sand is a different texture - more of fine grounded rocks rather than grains of sand. I love it! The Richard Hayne Boardwalk has a lot of great food and drink options. Both ends lead to public beaches where you can swim. We had such a great day.

A nice place for a stroll by the sea. The boardwalk is very well maintained. As of early 2023, there's a big construction project, but the fence has some nice art on it, which makes up for the fence and noise. Not a bad place to look at birds (we saw a bunch of hummingbirds) and the odd green monkey. (Google seems confused. To be clear, there are no tickets nor admission, this is a fancy sidewalk.)

I always enjoy a morning walk along the boardwalk. Built in 2012 the boardwalk is approximately a mile long along the South coast of Barbados. There are numerous beach eateries and beach bars along the boardwalk. There is also a local bank sponsored water station dispensing tepid and cold water for free! Start your day off with a brisk walk or enjoy an evening walk with lively local music and good eats.

What a GREAT way to have a relaxing walk along the South Coast. The Richard Haynes Boardwalk directly fronts the Caribbean, is sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the Main Road, and passes many local restaurants and bars directly fronting it where you can stop for a quick refreshment, or a full meal. It's open 24 hours a day to walkers of all levels (it's flat, has plenty of rest stops, and shade in places as well). The Boardwalk is virtually empty from late morning until early evening when more walkers take their daily walkabouts. Use it for exercise, use it to get to you favorite hangout on the beach, or use it to quickly get from point A to point B. It's GREAT!

Had a chance to visit the broadwalk in February 2022, beautiful strip that compliments the beach front. BUT when I returned in May the majority of the strip was covered in about 10 inches or more of sand. This makes it difficult to trek. This strip looks abandoned and unkempt right now. Come on BIM don't let this fail.

Very cool, gorgeous beachfront and many cute watering holes. Make sure you will have sandals a little abrasive for tender feet

Enjoyed by locals and tourists as a nice place for an early morning or afternoon walk. Accra beach is at the southern end of the boardwalk which is a good spot to walk or swim. There is also Tapas which is a great spot for a meal or to sit and enjoy a rum and ice!

A great place to walk while enjoying the beauty of the Ocean. I was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful paintings displayed on the Wall by Blakey's..and also the "graffiti" Art along the walls on the South Coast Road.Pride of the Island at its best.

A lovely walk along the shore with cafe's and restaurants. Some work going on to the side while we were there with a boarding around the work but they have made something of it with beautiful paintings by local artists, one of which we purchased (by Yasmin at Paint & Groove who could not have been more helpful).

The only boardwalk at Barbados. Beautiful views. Great place to walk by the beach, look at the sunset or just have drinks. There are plenty of eateries to choose from by it as well.

Set off from Tapas and ventured North up the Broadwalk . You'll soon walk past a huge set of metal hoardings shielding you from a massive construction site. But!! All along the endless stream of steel are the most fantastic display of Bajan artists. That, together with the walk and most amazing views are the very reason you should visit

Stopped off to watch the sunset in this idyllic location. Several restaurants and cafes back on to this boardwalk, such a great place to relax and take in some views.

Beautiful Boardwalk and Atlantic beach, always windy. Plenty of bars along the walk. Public toilets abd showers.

Nice little board walk with some restaurants, beach views, art display and a water fountain. Huge fan of the water fountain to get filtered water right in the middle of the boardwalk. We came here twice, and spent about an hour each time.

It's beautiful with lots of bars, but even during Christmas week it seemed to be empty and devoid of any atmosphere.
