This is a great way to spend a couple of hours and learn a thing or two along the way. It's worth noting that this is indeed not the actual rum distillery (that's miles away and doesn't generally allow visitors) The tour was great fun and the detailed rum tasting was very informative. Charismatic and fun tour guides too!

I absolutely loved the tour. So this isn’t the place where you can see them actually make it. They tell you the history of the distillery. It’s more like a showroom but nevertheless still enjoyable! There’s a bar with a range of cocktails with all the different rubs that they make. They give you ALOT of alcohol so beware and have FUN!

Did the $20/pp rum tasting tour and was somewhat disappointed with the experience. This is more of a tasting then a tour as the rum they are showcasing isn’t even made at the facility. The tour consisted of a welcome drink, and a walk around some rooms setup to showcase the history of the distillery. You are shown a video and then offered to taste some rums. The tour guide showed us six rums, and we were only offered to taste three. After the tour you’re able to buy a discounted cocktail at the bar with your ticket. If you’re looking to see where this rum is made then this tour isn’t what you want. Overall a disappointing experience as the location is north of Bridgetown and difficult to get to.

Loved the tour and the history of Mount gay rum. Make sure you eat well before going on this tour as you get to sample 4 different rums. The tour guide Tina was very humorous.

What a trip !!! This is a must trip if you are in Barbados at this is the first rum company in the world (1703 ad) which shows the history and how rums made it to the world. They make you taste 4 types with different tastes and each one is so smooth. Take the $20 trip not the others as they are grouped together and all you are doing different is participate in some rum making competition which wasn't that great..(helping you save some money fellas) The host was good - ambiance was nice and each rum was unique. Must go guys👍🏼

Amazing tour!! We did the cocktail experience which came with the rum tour, then rum tasting and finishing it off with making cocktails. It was surprisingly very BOOZY. There was a lot of liquor I didn't account for and by the end, I was definitely drunk. Lol Definitely worth the money in alcohol and the tour was super fun with our guide Rummal. He was extremely funny and made learning easy and fun!

The title of this place is the corporate office, however they run distillery tours and have a reasonably priced gift shop to grab a bottle or two of rum after the tasting session.

First let me mention the bartenders, very friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to Adrian! The tour guide was also fabulous. I would give her a shout out but can't remember her name. Awesome spot, easy to get to. There is a great gift shop where tee shirts, rum, rum cake and other trinkets can be purchased. The history behind Mount Gay is quite a privilege to learn about, but the taste of the product is even more satisfying.

Our tour guide Tina was informative and exciting. It’s a small tour but worth the money spent. Ryan at the bar was an excellent cocktail maker.

Really enjoyed doing the tour here. I was blessed to be the only one doing the tour so got a personalised experience from my guide Mercedes, who was lovely. Not only did I learn a lot about the history of Mount Gay and how the rum is made, I got to taste a whole range of rums, as well as enjoy a complimentary rum punch on arrival and liqueur when leaving. Well worth the money, thoroughly recommend!

My husband was so excited to go on this tour. I’m not a rum drinker and wasn’t as excited. Our tour guide was Rummal, and he was so informative and also very entertaining. He made it so much fun! Mount Gay distillery is very lucky to have someone so dedicated and it really shows how much he loves his job. Thank you, Rummal for a tour that even a non-rum drinker can enjoy!
