I this is amazing, you get to star gaze all night until 9:00. There is this big electrical telescope on the top of the roof in the dome that navigation automatically once the tour guide set the location on the device it sets to the Moon, North Star, Jupiter etc.

It was a great experience being able to look through the telescope at the stars and the moon. I was too late for the lecture but I enjoyed being educated on the stars and space by the various staff. My advice would be to go on a night with a full moon if you want to see that and a moonless night if you would like to see more stars.

This was a fabulous experience, being a novice it was explained very well with a PowerPoint presentation, then taken into the actual viewing area where we looked at Jupiter, the moon and stars, absolutely brilliant, 10 /10 for the staff who are unpaid volunteers.

This here is one of my newest 'finds' in Barbados. I have been a few times since I hold this fascination with astronomy.... The more I read and find out about astronomy, the less I can comphrehend. Put it on your list to visit if you can and if you are interested. Their Facebook page announces particular and special activities. Seeing Saturn and Mars through the telescope was such a humbling experience. I would warmly recommend.

Went on a Jupiter evening and apart from looking at Jupiter and M104 and a short talk nothing else was on offer. It would have been nice if telescopes were available to view other objects in the sky? Good that about 30 people turned up for evening, especially for the observatory and astronomy but too much hanging around. When we have done sessions with general public we have several telescopes looking at various objects, keeps the interest of the people attending and not much hanging around.

The lecture was informative and fun. The views from the telescope, through limited due to the time of year, and especially for the Sirius and the moon was just spectacular. Will go again during the summer when more planets are visible.

Interesting observatory the only one in Barbados. The staff provided useful information in the visit but the engagement outside of this could use some enhancement. Kids friendly entertainment is needed such as asking them specifics about the universe as we know it or including some games within the facility. The main room is small and could use some enhancing, space is a bit tight. Some brochures or useful guides can be incorporated so you leave with the information to continue your own explorations. Could also incorporate a souvenir shop. Outside of this it still was a pretty good time, take your family or significant other and make the best of it!

A very interesting place to go to star-gaze. The gentleman in charge, Mr. Small, is knowledgeable and engaging. Also they encourage you to make a donation of any amount to help the observatory in its general operation.

Staff was unbelievably kind to my mother and sister, showing each of them different galaxies and explaining hypothetical questions to them
