This is a fascinating old building from military times. Every Thursday their is a reenactment of the old "Changing Of The Guard" ceremony, using retired veterans from wartime. The routine starts with sentries at the entrance, followed by a military parade doing a drum performance while escorting the new sentries on to the square. Then the parade continues as they escort the old sentries off. Very authentic show of a bygone era.

Awesome location to view the historic Garrison Savanah and the home of the Barbados Legion. It's a tourist attraction with the buildings symbolising the old Garrison and you can also see the canons used to protect the country in the tunes of war. The clock tower also features the changing of the guard on Thursdays done by members of the Barbados Legion. Any visitor to Barbados should take in some of the location or book that entire tour of the historic Garrison.
