Gun Hill Signal Station Gun Hill Signal Station, located in the parish of St.George, provides magnificent and captivating views of the entire island! You're first greeted by beautifully landscaped gardens with tropical flowers of every colour! The signal station beckons you up the winding path, pass historic lamps and tempting garden benches, to behold the panoramic views.

This was a very interesting historical site to walk around and explore. There are a lot of informative displays to read and look at. The grounds were lovely as well - there are a lot of tropical plants around the property.

Gun Hill Signal Station (1818) in central Barbados initially communicated with five other signal stations around the island using a semaphore system with flags. The kitchen at Gun Hill Signal Station contained an open hearth with a chimney and spit. The usual diet of 19th century British soldiers (pork, rice, beans, and flour) was supplemented here by local fruits, vegetables, and spices.

This was my first visit and I was very impressed with the scenery. To see the artifacts and the history associated with them were very interesting. Everyone should visit.

Very cool signal station with an interesting history. Beautiful view from the top of the tower and lots of interesting posters and maps that help you understand the historical context. We also had lunch there - which was lovely. Choice of a starch, meat, and salad, as well as a drink. The price for this was included in the tour I was on so I can't comment on the food prices, but the drinks prices I saw at the bar were pretty pricey so I would expect the food to be too.

I attended an event at the Gun Hill Signal Station, and it's the perfect place for weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, or big people parties. The breathtaking views from up there are definitely beautiful and nice during the day, evening, and night.

It was fun seeing how the towers had a view over Barbados. Not accessible for wheelchairs, you have to walk up the mountain. But stunning view at the top

Great place to visit, amazing view, interesting history. Pretty pricey at 20hrs per adult for what is essentially a 30 min experience. There’s not much to see except the view and the signal station so you won’t be there long.

The scenery is just beautiful! Very nice walkway and lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. You can see from St. Michael to Christ Church from there. Love the bits of history too!

Great views of Barbados from here. Small cafe serving food on the deck. Staff is courteous and friendly. Nice display on the history of the lookout stations in Barbados. Worthy of a stop if you are on the island.

Part of Bajan National Trust, and was able to use UK National Trust membership for entry. Site has nice historical 'feel' about it, with lots of information about its original construction and purpose, and later reconstruction. Staff on site very helpful and polite, which basically goes for most of Barbados population.

I saw that this was a sightseeing highlight on the way, when I was planning my drive to Bathsheba. So I plan my drive to stop there. Show up to discover that it's closed for a private function. Someone there told me that it's often booked and therefore not often open to visitors. So why then, is it listed as a sightseeing location?

We were passing & stopped for a hopeful sunset foto. We were met by an abrasive guy, telling us that the restaurant was closed. I said we want to hopefully take a sunset foto! He demanded 12Dollars each from us. No thanks!

Interesting place to visit - though small site. Free to UK national trust members. Nice bar with great views as well (rum punch was great), and friendly staff, though note prices are in USD so a little high.
