This was such a beautiful experience. To have an opportunity to see such history, to capture thoughts about how it was like then, how hard people worked. The building work, the engineering capabilities of those days, with the limited resources or, incomparable to the technical resources of today, states how brilliant and skilled they were. I loved it. It is a beautiful place, well kept and staff that met us with a your a welcomed smile.

Well maintained windmill on the north eastern side of the Island. Looked after by a very friendly and knowledgable chap who knew a lot of history and interesting facts about the island. Saw lots of other ruined windmills elsewhere, and this is the only one still in one piece and operational. Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Great cafe with a good selection of drinks. Worth a visit if you are exploring the area.

Neat old windmill, not active. It was very cool to walk around. They do offer guided tours inside. Nice staff.

Pretty location and wonderful piece of history. It would be a 5 if money can be put into it to restore it some. I am sure it is a site to see it moving.

A beautiful location encompassing the history of the old windmill. The onsite managers are extremely nice and make the trip even more of a reason to come by. They are very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Very hospitable and insanely amazing view.

Absolutely love this place. Went a few times during my stay and it was mainly because the staff was so welcoming. Did a walking tour with Ra’Jae and she was amazing. I did the walking tour with her and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the windmill and the grounds. She answered every question I had. I also drove all the way from Oistins just to have their fish cakes because they were that good. During my second visit I was able to meet the owner who was absolutely amazing as well. As my husband & I sat & enjoyed out fish cakes & drinks, @chewiltshire_drawing offered to draw a portrait of us that only took him about 20 mins. We absolutely loved it here. So peaceful & scenic. I’ll definitely come back here again when I’m in Barbados.

We were on a taxi tour and unfortunately, after running to the restroom and then grabbing a drink in the cafe, there wasn't much time for the full tour. To really get the most from this, other than great photos, you need to engage with the tour operator and go tour the inside. I'll have to come back and do that, although what we did get to learn about it was most interesting.

Interesting place for a quick stop en route to the north. What makes it, as with much of the island, is the wonderful people who work there who gave a fascinating bit of history and insight with smiles and friendliness

Very interesting tour. Enjoyed learning the history of the windmill. The view is spectacular. Very friendly tour guide. It was fun to share time talking to the caretakers of the windmill.

Really good experience. Not much to see or do but learning about the history of the sugar mill and how it was operated by hand back in the day was interesting. Glad we could contribute to keeping this part of the island’s history going :). Views from the site are incredible.

It was fun to learn about the history of windmills in Barbados and how that particular mill worked. It was also great to see it in such great shape. The grounds also has its own cafe “The Grind” to get refreshments from when there.

Lovely spot in St. Andrews. Well worth the visit. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who make the visit a joy. We had the fish cakes as a snack -crunchy and delicious. The construction of the windmill is a sobering reminder of the past.

We only stop in front of the windmill. The area was lonely. Nice for pics

Beautiful picturesque place with some history. It's not a fancy place.. just a simple place reflecting it's history. Unfortunately, was closed during the pandemic. Do check out the nearby beach (with the same name). The beach was stunning, very representative of the east side of the island.

Wonderful. The only working windmill in the Caribbean. Only $5!

This is still a working windmill although you are not allowed inside. It's a typical windmill so if you are in the area then it's worth going to get a close up of it.

Cool, Historic Windmill. Makes a great photo opportunity but not much else to see or do. Still worth a visit if you find yourself nearby.

Impresive. It is a peice of Barbados's history. A pity we turned our backs on renewable energy so long ago! They did not have computers back then, but they managed to accomplish much.

An interesting stopp, with probably one of the island’s best coffees at the adjunct Grind Artisan Cafe. There you can learn about the windmill and its history, or just have a friendly chat about anything from football to local sights or rum. Highly recommended also for the stunning view.

Very interesting to do the guided tour, short but informative and wonderful to support the national trust. Coffee/snack place is nice to hang out with a fresh breeze and watch the coast
