Please don't stay here, you will be so disappointed. From the moment we arrived at check in there was a long queue of guests complaining about multiple issues. I could write pages about how bad it is but I will stick to the facts - the showers are cold, at any time of the day. The hotel is unclean and outdated. Our shower door did not close, which meant our bathroom was drenched every time we took a shower. After telling the reception staff 3 times with no luck we just gave up. The wifi is non existent so you will need to purchase data if you want to go online (we are with the network Three and it is expensive so had to rely on the restaurant across the road) There are not enough beach towels for guests so we had to use our bathroom towels for sitting by the pool. We were sold an Ocean view room but did not get it, you could not see the see from our balcony, we were facing the building and I took multiple photos to show this, however the reception staff just insisted it is sold as ocean view and there is nothing they can do (having researched this on my return home this is potentially illegal due to misleading) The staff, especially the 'general manager' are robotic and unhelpful, I imagine because they are dealing with complaints all day you can't blame them. There is no sympathy or understanding, even if you politely tell them your room has not been cleaned / something is broken. Honestly, they do not care. I go could go on and on but you get the idea - this is not a 4 star and if you are hoping it'll be like the images on their website you will be so disappointed. The location on the beach is the only positive, but you could book a thousand other hotels on the beach this is not worth half of what we paid.

All the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are decent and clean. Great location for bars, town, etc.. I've seen a comment regarding a party for staff. And they gave 1 star just to clarify. All guests were notified prior to event with times and day. Music was turned down around midnight. It was really not bad. Hence, why reviews you need to read a few. The hotel has lovely settings and would definitely revist. Still currently got 2 days left. But overall this is a great hotel.

Unfortunately I can't leave Zero stars. Had booked the penthouse suite directly on Accra website months before and luckily printed a copy of my confirmation. Traveled from the US to arrive and be told we booked a standard king room for the same price. I was able to prove our price and room type. They had given our room away and it was unavailable. We were told to wait in the lobby while they adjusted room or pricing. Two hours later noone had come back to update us on anything. We then went online and booked with Hilton. Then went to front desk who still had no adjustments completed to be addressed by extremely rude employee that we needed to cancel with whoever we booked the room through. I insisted we had booked through them and she curtly told me fine then it's cancelled. Wasted time and money running around the island with unnecessary cabs. Extremely stressful. Do not trust this hotel.

Great location. Rooms are clean but dated. WORST staff I’ve ever had to deal with at the front desk! Ignorant, nobody cared about any issues we report several times and they don’t communicate your problems to anyone either. We were 4 couples and all of our ceiling fans were broken, no air conditioning all week and no water one day in all of our rooms. Once the water came back on it was cold. Restaurant staff, house keeping and bar staff were great! Food was very good on the premises. Good location to walk to great restaurants on the board walk and down the GAP area. The front desk staff ruined the entire week by not caring at all about any of the issues we reported. They are basically untrained and rude!

I stayed at this hotel recently for three nights . It is very well located. Accra beach is one of my favorite beaches in Barbados , so I stayed at the hotel so I could enjoy the beach . The exterior of the hotel is quite lovely. However , the room was somewhat disappointing as it did not match the photos that were displayed on line . The rooms really need enhancing . The room was quite dull in comparison to the beauty featured in the online photos . Most of the staff at the hotel were pleasant . However , there was a staff member at the front desk wearing a name badge with the name “Rachel” who was extremely rude and should not be in the service industry if that is how she intends to behave with paying guests . When I attempted to check out, I approached the front desk and she was on a call . I do not know if it was a personal call or a work related call . However, she stayed on the call extensively long while I stood there waiting . At no time did she acknowledge that I was waiting or apologize. She just kept going extensively on the call with no acknowledgement to me , the waiting guest . Furthermore, when she was finished with the call, she still did not look up to acknowledge that I was waiting . She proceeded to start writing down something . When she felt like it, after doing her writing , she then finally asked how she could help me and did not apologize for my long wait . That is very poor/rude service . That was the second interaction during my stay where she was very rude . When I first arrived to my hotel room, I made a call to the front desk to query the view from my room as I booked for the ocean view and I was not aware from the online photos that the ocean view was combined with pool view . I was querying whether direct ocean view was available . The staff member Rachel took the call and she was discourteous and obnoxious. She snapped “No” when I asked about direct ocean view.

We let the hotel know in advance that it’s our honeymoon. When we checked in, we were told because of the price bracket we paid, we will be getting a standard room. Ok fine, but the room they gave us was old, dark, musty, facing the parking lot, where you can hear all the traffic and people hanging around outside. No one even greeted us or congratulated us to be on our honeymoon, and hotel didn’t do anything special in the room for us, which most hotels do if you’re celebrating anything, especially a honeymoon! The pool was closed for several hours one of the days. Front desk staff are not very polite or friendly. I asked for beach towels one day and the guy handed them to me unfolded as if he just grabbed them from someone’s pool chair somewhere and gave them to me like that. I had to ask if those were clean! Good thing everywhere else we spent our days were amazing and everything else on the island were great! But ACCRA is NOT the place to stay unless you’re looking for a run of the mill no frills stay where you won’t even be interested in spending time at the hotel. But definitely visit Rockley Beach where Accra is located. The beach has bars, chairs to rent, is clean and calm, white sand crystal clear blue water! Barbados amazing, ACCRA underwhelming.

Rooms are clean, and most importantly air conditioned! The cheapest rooms don't have good views, but that's to be expected. No microwave in the room, but there is a small fridge, coffee maker, and hot water maker. No free breakfast, all meals are between 75 and 95 BBD per person if you choose to eat at the hotel (which has great food!) We were not confident in their ability to make meals for gluten-sensitive people though, the chef didn't seem to have much if any knowledge of gluten sensitivitie (Checked if he used flour to make any of the food, but didn't check if any of the other ingredients contained gluten) They let us keep our luggage at the front desk after we checked out since our flight wasn't until midnight and checkout is 11am. They have a courtesy room that we could shower in and get ready before our flight if we needed to. The location is nice, and there's a couple coffee shops and plenty of restaurants to choose from! We were able to find a couple places with a few gluten free options, but there's nowhere safe to eat in the vicinity for those with celiac. Overall, very nice hotel!

I got to the hotel around 10:30pm on Sunday, October 22nd. My room was not cleaned properly, so they moved me to another that had no esthetics, old looking with a TV that had snowy pictures. I was asked just to sleep there after I complained, and the next day. I'd also requested a microwave I was told another room would be ready that would be clean and more to my liking after breakfast. I was also told to make sure my things were packed and they'd move them for me. I did so. I had an engagement that got me back after 3 pm, and they were JUST finishing the room. I was given 2 days of breakfast comps for my inconvenience! I realized I had no lamps on the nightstands, and it took them 4 days to provide 1, which was yesterday. The microwave was given to me on Wednesday. The staff were friendly and seemed to aim to please! I think there needs to be better communication and followup on behalf of the mgmt!

Really disappointed with the hotel. Not very clean, waiting staff serve you but not that friendly, lots of birds flying around at breakfast and dirty tables too (not covid clean for sure) and we saw a rat too! Cold showers on two mornings so pick your time carefully to shower. The reception staff were professional and welcoming, thst was the highlight. The beach position was absolutely lovely. I think there are much better hotels you find for the money.

Accra in the morning is lovely. Great breakfast buffet that is tasty though it is expensive. Accra at night is a different hotel there is no entertainment, Everything closes up and it’s very boring. Wish the bar stayed opened later and music played at night. It’s like they’re telling you to go to bed. I m vacation you want to go to dinner and still swim in the pool at night but it’s like they do not want to pay the workers so it’s literally not fun at night. Internet is bad here and though Accra is beautiful they can do better.

Fits the bill for location, facilities, and price. Nice and casual staff, great beach and nice location. Good food close by plus a mini market and a pharmacy and a coffee shop right across the street. Exactly what I needed after a major Airbnb flop at Silver Sands. Bajan coffee is not quite what this PNW native would like but hey, the beach and the vibe here are more than make up for that. Enjoy this island, share the love and Respect!

A lovely, though dated resort. A bit musty smelling throughout. The views are fantastic, especially from the pool. #storytime We booked last minute on Expedia but when the hotel no record of our booking. Five of us. Reservation staff had already left with no access to the system. Apparently, staff hours don't account for those booking later in the day, last minute online. However they are 'somewhat' flexible. if you provide lots of information and coaxing. A 24-hour system to verify off-site bookings from sites like Expedia etc. will be helpful. Stairs are great to walk. Wide and open so you don't have to waste time on the elevator. The rooms are comfy with all the usual utilities. Internet speed is good. Linens were adequate. The location is great for exploring the beach, some fun bars, dining, fast food, shopping - including low-cost shopping, spas, etc. It's also very easy to get taxis and buses to various parts of the island as well as accessing tours.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. I travel a lot. I noticed the majority of the workers do not greet you when you pass them by. In my view any time a hotel room does not have an alarm clock or shower wash and shampoo dispenser it is a motel.

Awful awful hotel. We stayed here for four nights. There seemed to be a major shortage of towels in this hotel, the first night was the only night we got two shower towels the other days we left to get our room cleaned by the staff and when we came back not only was there no towels left in the bathroom but the room had not been cleaned properly. Used glasses had not been replaced only the bed had been made. When I asked housekeeping for two shower towels they said they would bring them within an hour (never came) the next day the same situation no towels left to take a shower after using the beach and pool, hotel staff said there is none left that they are in the dryer and the wait is two hours. It was the same situation with pool towels, you have to go to the pool towel station by reception to get a towel and everyday there was NONE, everybody seemed to have the same problem, even at 7am there was no pool towels. The other issue was the extremely rude staff at reception who seemed to have a major attitude problem and did not like dealing with any issues nor cared. I had complained about not getting any short of towel and they just seemed to laugh. Would advise anyone thinking of staying at the hotel to avoid at all costs. Don’t let the location fool you !!

Horrible hotel, horrible vacation experience, not worth it and waste of money. Make yourself a flavour and look for another accommodation, plenty around. The hotel is 2 stars (def not 4 starts as reflected on the website), run down, super dated rooms and to top it off special buzzing effects from water pipes all the time, just to have a good night sleep and relax during your vacation. (not able to change room either). Not to mention, zero service, very rude staff at the reception, not helpful at all - especially Onika, she always says she would arrange something for you and call you, then you never hear back from her but in general all staff is not helpful, very unpleasant customer experience. Hotel offers beach towel, however they are never available, you have to waste your time and keep coming back at the reception (because nobody knows when towels will be available) and then you stand in long lines, as there is one line for everything, including check-in, check-out, etc. So much time wasted in this hotel. Not pleasant experience, and hotel staff does want to make it professional or positive vaca experience.

I will begin with the positive features of this resort … 1. The beach and 2. Across the street from Cheffette and small restaurants. That’s it! The hotel staff are not all friendly. Some receptionists will ignore you standing in front of them but will be sure to address other guests when approaching the front desk. The rooms smell of meldew, the bathrooms are completely drenched after bathing as there is no full coverage shower door or curtain. There are rooms under renovation left wide open and unattended which is creepy. The lack of communication by staff and their daily operation needs improvement. We booked our rooms 4 months in advance and when we arrived at 4pm, the rooms were not ready, the computer system claimed to be down, we had to wait for house keeping to organize with the front desk, yet other people checking into the hotel did not have this issue. We went across the street to kill time and were checked in after 7pm. We were scattered throughout the resort as they claimed to be sold out and asked that we return the next morning to have our rooms closer together…. The two preceding mornings we returned to the front desk to be lied to and told there are no rooms they can put us in close together as requested during our initial booking months ago. One of the receptionist at the front desk was cordial and tried his best to assist us, as all 9 of us were uncomfortable being there. Of all of my trips to Barbados this was my first time actually eager to go home. I will end now as I still have my 8 family members to share their own review of why Accra beach resort is not a good place to stay while in Barbados.

Location, beach, pool, drinks, some atmosphere are great BUT no remote for the TV, no water one night, had to get room service for toilet paper, shower hot water tap wasn't closing so more service, floors could be cleaner, rooms dated need renovations. It should be a 2 star. If you are willing to put up with the negatives, then it's an ok place. Just don't pay as a 4 star.

We stayed here aS a post cruise stay for 3 nights. We had read some quite negative reviews beforehand and were not looking forward to it. To our surprise it was amazing. Everything was perfect. The food, the hotel staff who worked so hard to make sure guests had everything they wanted including serving drinks on the beach. The hot tub on the balcony was lovely. We wanted to stay longer

A bit jaded could do with a bit of a face lift. Meals way too expensive. Dead hotel , no atmosphere, no entertainment. Seems closed after 9pm. Shower in room 115 poor flow and tepid. Towels small and marked. Pool and beach area okay but no bar service. Pool bar closed until afternoon. Pleasant staff.

Room is in need of upgrading. It's a bit outdated. The bathroom had low water pressure. Could not determine which side was hot or cold. Housekeeping was excellent, clean towels every day. Bed was comfortable.

A good location on the beach with pools and shops, restaurants nearby. Unfortunately we were kept waiting over 2 hours for our room until after 5pm having travelled on a 9 + hour flight. Check in is supposed to be from 3pm.

Excellent location and value for money. Bit dated and could do with a modernisation plus a good hoovering of carpets in communal areas, but otherwise good.

My boyfriend and I have been to Barbados numerous times usually stay at the Hilton or Radisson. Thought we change things up and select another hotel because of the pool and the beach we landed on the Accra. Upon arrival we find out there’s no water so we are given 4 bottles of water. Ok we get to our room late arrival we can’t shower we have no wash cloth or blanket and are told due to no water they are short on towels. The next day we see guest getting pool water in buckets given to us by the employees in order for us to use the bathroom. 🤦🏼‍♀️ there’s construction right out side our balcony literally the whole week we were there. It started at 7-8 and went on until 6 AM. No other accommodations were offered. And I haven’t gotten to the big fat rats outside in the hotel parking lot, I’m from NY I’m not afraid of Rats but when you see 5-6 running around the front of the hotel you have to think wth. Yeah won’t be going back!

Room ok. Balcony so tiny. Chairs huge and at such a steep angle wouldn't risk sitting in them at our age! Family we travelled with moved to a pool view so much nicer. A petrol leaf blower starts at 7 am every weekday morning so loud! Very annoying. The noise from the road also very loud. Not sure why we have been put in this room. Double balcony doors don't shut properly to keep the noise out. Bathroom so small but adequate on your own.

I would totally stay here again due to its prime location, however the service kind of sucks. We stayed here for 9 days and there were two days when they skipped over our room and didnt clean it or replace the towels. We had to keep asking for wash cloths for the bathroom because there were none to begin with and then they never replaced them unless we kept bothering and asking for them. The food is good but over priced, even in Barbados money.

Great Hotel Staff are lovely but not enough at busier meal times Doing waitress/waiter service in the buffet restaurant caused long delays with a nearly full hotel. WIFI is intermediate specially in the morning. Usual towels sunbathing for hours on end by themselves on beach left by selfish guests. Having said all that would stay again as the staff made up for the shortfall with their cheerful smiles 😃

Wifi was down (no big deal) Ice machine out of service (no big deal) safe not working... Toilet broke... Went back down to get a new room to find a line of people having issues as well. Told the desk my Toilet was broke and they said they would send a Maintenace man up to look at it. I explain the safe was a problem to and I already looked the toilet, and it needs a repair and I'm not paying for a room that is being worked on. Not to mention just hearing a lady saying she had been waiting for her room for 3 hrs. They gave me another room without the view I paid for but I felt lucky compared to everyone else. The folks there were nice and the View from the outside of the resort was nice. For some reason Expedia wouldn't publish this exact review so I came here.

We had a nice week long stay here. There was a mixup with our room for the first night, but the hotel was able to move us the next day. Centrally located to a lot of places that you walk to (convenience store, liquor store, restaurants etc)

I had posted a more positive review earlier but I have the recant it due to the last couple of days. The hotel has left ALL guests without water in the rooms for over 12 hours. We finally just got a very low pressure to wash and flush. They also have not proved me with a proper set of towel set of the past 2 days, even after asking housekeeping numerous time. 🙁

  • 1/5 Sourav k. 1 year ago on Google
Had to give one star as there’s no option to give zero star. One that must be avoided. Certainly not worth the money. Unfriendly reception staff, extremely old rooms and poor quality toiletries are definitely going to make you want to move out as soon as possible. Best to avoid as there are loads of other better options in Barbados.

Good hotel in an excellent location. It's on Accra beach and has a number of dining options close by. The rooms were spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. There was also most of the appliances required such as an iron, kettle, coffee maker and blow dryer.

Dated hotel which needs to rip out the carpets in all hallways. Open air hallways on carpet = no good. What about the room? It was fine but had a giant cockroach. Staff are very friendly.

Lovely hotel in a super location, the beach is beautiful and 2 mins away, and several large pool areas. No evening intertainment during my stay which was a shame. Alot of the reviews state that the rooms are dated, but that wasn't my experience, maybe the rooms have since been refurbished? Bar staff were great (pina colada & strawberry daiquiri in particular) It's a shame there is only 1 cross trainer in the gym though, fortunately the gym was not too busy during my time there.

This place is probably amazing. There are guests from all over the world who are staying for weeks at a time. However, we are only here one night and obviously get the yet-to-be- repaired or up graded rooms. I'm pretty sure the longer term guests get better rooms as they all rave about the place. Food is ok, beach is lovely. I wouldn't shy away from a longer stay as i expect the accommodations are more updated.

We had a wonderful time in Barbados and used this as a home base for exploring the island. The rooms were clean and well maintained, although the lighting in the bathroom was low, and I would have really been pleased if they had some kind of seat in the shower so I could shave my legs more easily. Bed was comfortable, at least I slept well. View is wonderful and if you're into getting up early and going for a walk or run, the board walk is right there. That's probably my favorite thing. Here's the weird thing. My biggest complaint was breakfast, not how it was cooked cause the lady that made the omelet in the morning, she's good. It was what they served. There's fruit every morning, but it's stuff I can get in my own back yard. I was there when mangos were in season and they were never served. I can't grow mangos at home. What's funny is when I asked for mangoes the lady said, "but you can get those anywhere". Mangoes aren't exotic to them, and while I can understand that, you would think they would understand that they are to us northerners, which is why we go there and visit in the first place. I would have liked mangos for breakfast. I didn't have any while I was there. That's the most disappointing thing.

The property is beautiful. The room was outdated and the bathroom seemed to be falling apart. We couldn't cool the room off and then the fan made an incredible amount of noise. Water pressure went out the morning we arrived and was not great later in the evening when we needed to shower

  • 3/5 The Boyce of R. 1 year ago on Google
Having read many reviews about this place I saw the 3 main complaints were bad wifi, lack of water pressure for showers and dated decor. I found all 3 of these things to be true. It wasn't detrimental to my enjoyment of my stay but having stayed in many hotels in many countries, this one I didn't feel I got too much bang for my buck. It lacked that 'wow' factor. . However, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was fine, the beach in front of the hotel was really nice, and the pool area was good. . The hotel is also located right by a boardwalk that stretches along the south coast and is dotted with some nice places to eat and drink. . Overall I enjoyed my stay here and certainly wouldn't talk anyone out of staying here if it fits in your budget but if I were to come back to Barbados I think I'd pay a bit more and stay somewhere else. . Louis

Lovely clean hotel in the middle of lots of restaurants, bars etc. Beach is beautiful white sand and big pool area. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of evening entertainment

  • 2/5 Carlo 1 year ago on Google
This is a very bad hotel for what they charge. The A/C remote doesn’t work, I ah sto switch it off completely and keep the ceiling fan on. The shower has no pressure, no phone in the room (safety issues), smells badly. I will never come back again to this place. Internet is the worst, keeps disconnecting, seems to be in a third world hotel.

Loved it here, we were here over Easter of 2022.. Had a problem when we first arrived with everyone's door keys...the system was down! Uh oh! Poor bellhop guy had to run around and let every in their rooms all day! BUT...they got it sorted out by the next afternoon! Good job guys! The location is awesome. A quick ZR taxi ride can take you to all the hot spots. I walked from the St Lawrence Gap and it took me about 10-12 minutes (After quite a few Banks) Every day we walked the Richard Haynes Boardwalk. Its just awesome and the start of it is right on our beach. Our beach is wavy all the time but it's beautiful! The red flags were always up, BUT...be smart and don't venture to far out and it is safe. Everyone including me enjoyed the waves (And I can't swim worth a @%#) We had a first floor room that overlooked the pool but you could still see the beach in the background. Next time we go one floor up...just so we can have the cool railings :D Rooms are a bit dated, but the housekeeping staff do an awesome job keeping them clean! I know things are rough coming out of the whole covid thing, but I just wish the staff would smile a bit more! They are very friendly though and helpful. I see some really negative reviews but this hotel was everything we could have asked for. We really liked it here and would recommend it to anyone. We WILL be back!
